Mammoet's PTC 200-DS has the same 5000 tons lifting capacity but it was built earlier than Sarens one. So it should really be mammoet in this video instead of Sarens
It's insane how; the Big Blue crane that collapsed was the biggest crane in the world at the time was rated at 500 tons...Now that Sarens lifts TEN TIMES that weight!

When they say Big Blue was rated 500 tons it means with the specific boom that was on the crane that day and the jib that was on the crane that day with the lifting angles and reach as configured that day. With other configurations Big Blue could lift 1500 tons. A salesman who tells you his crane can lift 500 tons to 400 ft. may tell you his crane is the biggest another salesman who says his crane can lift 1000 tons to 250 ft. will tell you his is the biggest. "Biggest crane in the world" is just a sales pitch.

That's awesome that a huge mobile crane has to put itself together before any lifting can be done...👍
good video enjoyed
Me: how big is your crane?
Sarens: YES
They never cease to amaze us, don't they?

In the US, go with Grove or Manitowok because Grove is an American company which is a subsidiary of Manitowok, and service is key.
Go german al the time, most of the Grove all terrain cranes are of German origen !!!

Why spend half the video on small cranes. A 10 second clip on Sarens was very disappointing
They still can’t lift some of the monoliths of ancient times lol
Re climbing ability, a 60 degrees slope is not the same as a 60% slope. If you are going to talk technical then some understanding is necessary.
