Here's hoping the Frutiger Aero aesthetic makes a comeback someday. It was truly something else compared to the minimalist aesthetic that's prevalent today.
We'll get there one day, the Internet is just going through its growing pains. It still has the potential to be the literal salvation of humanity, but it has to grow through this awkward adolescent phase where it's still being held back by the economic structures and restrictions placed on it by the real world. The digital world will reach its full fruition when we as human beings are not just escaping our real lives into it but living inside of it, and there we will find the resurgence of this beautiful optimism we once had. The Internet is destined to be humanity's true utopia, a place where anyone and everyone can be free and even make the real world a better place as well. Even a little playlist like this reminds me that people still believe in humanity's potential to use this incredible tool to make life beautiful, and maybe if we all believe a little more we can build the future that we once hoped for.
Living inside the internet would be as bad as this society we live in or even worse. Do you want freedom? Then fight for a free world instead of creating a fake one to escape.

On the one hand, Frutiger Aero is definitely a future that couldn't be. Optimistic, shiny beautiful greenscapes fused with sleek glossy technology. But in keeping with that optimism, it's also the past that was. For those few shining years, we were living it and we didn't even know. That's how nostalgia works. Sims 3, club penguin, Windows software, phone stores, default wallpapers. I think we're really lucky that we still remember it and are kinda working to bring it back. That's the nature of the aesthetic - optimism.

I changed my laptop's bg to the Windows 7 bg while listening to this, and it was honestly the best decision I've made this week. It instantly lifted my mood :>
Funny. I was obsessed with Windows XP as a kid, and hated Windows 7 because it lacked the 8 bit-ish style XP had. But when I decided to get 7, I quickly grew fond of it. And when I changed to 8, I quickly changed back to 7 because I missed the vibrant colors and glassy style it had. When I decided to move to 10 in 2020, it was bittersweet saying goodbye to 7, and I was reluctant to. And meh I do like 10 more than 8, but it's too flat. As a kid I loved the over-detailed style of the 2000s Windows. I've always been an art kid who loved creative and overly detailed designs. I was obsessed with those Frutiger Aero keyboards, monitors and mouses with tiny fish inside. XP is still my favorite of all because I'm still obsessed with its 8 bit-ish style mixed with the colorful primordial-Frutiger Aero style. I will always miss it when designs were more creative and colorful, I felt like people expressed themselves in a more unique way in that era of the internet.
You guys don’t get it!! It’s only been 20 or so years! We have not reached True Frutiger Aero yet! It still in the near future! We just have to be optimistic :)

i highly recommend the elebits (wii) soundtrack for anyone who likes stuff like this!! it's one of my favorite games to this day and i'm glad this era is getting some love finally wahh
Beautiful, thank you so much for making this, brings back so much nostalgia!
i hope frutiger aero comes back in popularity someday, would love to live this era again :)
tbh frutiger aero music could be called Ape Escape core and it'd make so much sense hah
That game was really ahead of its time
PlayStation2 core
If you want more music like that, it’s called Intelligent Jungle.
I changed my laptop's bg to the Windows 7 bg while listening to this, and it was honestly the best decision I've made this week. It instantly lifted my mood :>
such a delightful playlist 🐬🎶
This Is how I felt when I saw sharks in, documentary movies and always wanted to go to aquarium but I couldn't
If crisp clear water was a playlist
The title is poetic
in 20 years people would feel nostalgic about minimalist style lol
Such a comforting aesthetic istg
Dreamweaver 🎉🎉
aghhh these songs are actually enjoyable
This video is literally the best video for studying. The focus I’m feeling right now is insane fr
They promised us a future they didn't deliver. It's up to us to make it happen now.
A love letter to: Windows Vista. "I'm sorry"
You guys don’t get it!! It’s only been 20 or so years! We have not reached True Frutiger Aero yet! It still in the near future! We just have to be optimistic :)
What do you mean the future that couldn’t be, this is what life was like back then. Robot dogs at the mall and bubbles everywhere and uh, grass? This literally existed.
that specific icon style brings back so many memories omg
loving this playlist so far :D
has anyone mentioned wappy in the background!? this brought me a lot of joy, seeing wappy and the vibes of this playlist :)
Какя же это офигнная и неповторимая эстетика. Для меня это загадочный и в то же время родной вайб, который вряд-ли повториться.
When I die and have the ability to create my new life, the future will look EXACTLY like this and nothing bad ever happens
I want my life to sound like thisss
Felt chills from start to finish. I love this playlist!
this playlist tickling my adhd brain in a nice tasty way thank you
i remember being a kid and this stuff was everywhere for a bit, much less EVERYWHERE than it actually was im sure- but its cool to see how fondly we look back at the times and wonder what could have been if this style stayed... But honestly its even cooler that the next gen can give it life again. Now we gottah to remember and embrace the styles and era we are in right now, soon to be reflected on again, its cool to be apart of somethin
I knew this would be amazing as soon as I saw the Wappy dogs
Beautiful
Watching this on my new Meta Quest 3 while high. Truly a future that couldn't be.
Yo, good idea
Maybe now that we have a name for it, it can start coming back.
If frutiger aero had a chip flavor it would be salt and vinegar
this playlist made me remember the place in target where you could get popcorn and those big pretzel things. it wasn't frutiger aero but i think the design on the popcorn bags kind of looked like the frutiger metro variation
I HAVE THE ROBOT DOG IN THE PHOTO OML
