Got here through the Khmer Times article about Phnom Chisor that included your video. Went there myself a couple of years ago ; a breath of fresh air, really! Edit: Khmerry Christmas!
Hi thanks for your kind comment. Glad you enjoyed it. I travel far and wide to build the first ever video library of these wonders, it is now my life’s work. A very merry Christmas to you.
Merry Christmas Mr. B! It's really nice to see one of those temples be used for worship as its builders intended. I imagine back when all the abandoned temples you visit were in their prime they must have been just as colourful as that one inside, minus the electric lighting of course.
How fantastic to see it looking so festive, It was like an alternative Nativity in that little grotto 😍 Thank you for sharing this and Merry Christmas 🎄 🥰😘
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Mr B(Paolo). Sending my payers and the very best wishes during this festive seasons.. Always enjoy your films of the temples. Stand with justice ! Stand with good spirits… Do take good care!🙏🏼💪💪✌️.
You found so many temples. Are there any evidence on the temple ground that shows only the king and nobles prayed in those temples? I mean the normal commoners people did not go into these temples, is that a corret statement?
The truth is, we do not know, but the best anchor point for our suppositions is to look at the modern day church, because there is one thing that does not change in time, and that is man himself. The hierarchy would have been very rigid, and everyone would’ve been trying to climb the greasy pole to get closer to those in power. Within religion, that is where all the power pretty much lay. Due to the Royal consent of the kinks so there would have been a very elitist approach to many temples. I feel
@@TheMrB I believe commoner took part in temple prayers. After all who actually built it, people. Kings and elitist only make plan. Festivals need people, so for sure commoners used the temples. Only during royals visit they may have kept their distance. Furthermore, their houses was nearby temples. They abndoned the temples because later kings were Theravada Buddhist, who wanted to keep their distance from Hinduism and Mahayana Buddhism of Bayon.
It's really sad to see a country that lead by a 4th grade education leader Hun Sen. Those flashind LED lights should not be there to begin with; the money you donated will go to his pocket instead of restoring this running down temple.
Mr. B Enjoy Phnom Chisor and the sights of Phnom Penh. Wish you the best for the season and for the coming year.
Thanks you take really good care. Happy Christmas

There is certainly one temple Angkor Wat that’s a guy told me was reserved only for the king, it is directly behind the lepers Terrace
@@TheMrB Only one, reserved temple. Ok. The temples in rural areas, for commoners?
