The Sheikh's primary argument is based on texts (Qur'ān & Sunnah), but he is using logic as a secondary source of evidence. There are some who use logic first and the texts to conform to their logic. If the texts don't conform to their logic, they reject the texts. This is very dangerous! But yes you are right in what you have said; this is a great fitnah for some women & even some men (with homosexual tendencies). However, we cannot say that a man's chest is Awrah based on logic, because Awrah is something determined by the Sharī‘ah. What we can say is: From the rules of Islam is that "everything which leads to haraam is haraam."
