Im buying 1 this weekend. Eventually I wanna have 3. I do commercial flooring and we face many things on the job. We have concrete patch to dry and glue that needs to be dry enough for installation without having to pull out so many cords for so many fans (multiple rooms/areas) and then there's looking for a place to connect and have it not be in the way for customers or employees, not to mention if there's any electricity in that socket which at times is a big bummer lol

Thank you for showing the two side by side to actually see the difference.

I was just at homedepot yesterday checking if they had any and they didn’t. I use the older smaller one all time. Nice to see a side by side comparison.

I would definitely buy one for that price. Over here in Ireland it’s over 500 euro which is crazy money.

If the small m18 puts out a descent amount of air. What would you say the 18 inch fan puts out. Is it like a bigger version of the small one. I say that because everyone's definition of a decent amount of air is different. I have the smaller one amd I love the air it puts out.

What I dont like about fan reviews is you can't feel the air. I've been misled before. One time I was told the Dewalt fan puts out more than the Milwaukee and they were wrong. I spent like 140 dollars think it blew more. I love the small fan cause like you said it aims at you so the air blows like a hurricane that's what I like

Just bought one yesterday (6/11/24) Love it so far. My only complaint/concern would be the on off dial, it feels like you need to be delicate with it. I’ve had the smaller one for years and have always loved it.

Can you feel the fan outside? Say its on the ground and you are high up on a ladder? Will you actually feel it or is this just for a small office like in the video?

@@dnegel9546 I would imagine it could be felt some what outside. I wouldn’t think you would feel it from a ladder though unless there were no breeze at all. I actually painted the inside of my 7x16 enclosed trailer today and I had it going while I was working. It was 103 today so it was nice having it. I also plan on taking it when we go to the river.

Why don’t they make the smaller M 18 one brushless as well? They need to update it

Only improvement I would have for it would be: optional filter

Looking at my old Milwaukee fan, it shows how much dirt is trapped in the fins, can only imagine how much didn’t catch that I breathe in.

It claims 23hrs on low with a 12ah battery.
I’ve only been able to get 7-8hrs on low with each of my 4 12ah batteries. Not sure if I got a dud or what, but it’s kinda disappointing.

    • @yeissertoyota4169

Is that using genuine m18 batteries? I have some fake 12ah ones, and yeah they last only 7 hours

Do you recommend for tape and mud when you want to help the mud dry a bit faster?

you can use a fan, heater, dehumidifier or anything else that would remove moisture!

I have Ridgid and the new guy at work rocks Milwaukee. I bought my 18 and he his. The Ridgid does 4000 cfm so the Milwaukee will probably be at 4200- 4500 cfm. Milwaukee is always a little better than Ridgid. Except the Ridgid has 6 settings ober Milwaukees 3. Both are great though. Good luck all.

TTI owns Milwaukee, Ridgid, and Ryobi ... sadly they won't ever let Ridgid be better otherwise it would have an effect on milwaukee's cash flow for them. Ryobi is affordable and milwaukee performs the best so Ridgid is the hated middle child that only sells because of the LSA and the name RIDGID being a staple in plumbing and cordless affordable tools
