Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown is one of the best live bands you will ever see!!!!

They rock! Recent favorite of mine. I discovered them through Larkin Poe. The lead singer/guitarist is Tyler Bryant and is married to Rebecca Lovell; the lead singer of Larkin Poe. So awesome!

I got to know Tyler and his family back in 2008 when his mentor who is friend of mine, Alan Haynes, had him up on stage at the Austin Blues Festival. I helped Tyler carry his amp out of the mud at the outdoor venue to his parents car. We've been friends ever since. One of the most hardest working people I know. He's worked his butt off to get here.

About 10 years ago, my band mates and I went into a local bar in Tyler, TX to see a kid who Vince Gill said was the next big thing on guitar. . A 16-17 year old kid named Tyler Bryant. We were 4 of about 10 people in the club. That dude hit a 12th fret pinch harmonic bend with his wah during one of his solos… I shit you not, all 4 of us literally bent forward at the waist and nearly fell over. He literally pierced our souls with a guitar note. I’ve played in many environments and seen the best of the best do it live, but I’ve never seen a group of people simultaneously be physically effected by a guitar note. It was insane. Check out his stuff from his younger years. It was nuts

Love this story. I watched him play back in those days as well, same as you said with maybe 10 people in there. He would absolutely burn it up like he was playing a sold out arena. Amazing.

I discovered Tyler Bryant and the shakedown in 2016, at an AC/DC concert. They were the opening act. I saw them again in concert at the end of 2019. They are a ray of hope in the current musical landscape.
You could react to "The Wayside" (live from the Beast) and "Aftershock" LIVE in Nashville TN, both of those performances are outstanding.

Got to see this performed live in Indianapolis, opening for Larkin Poe. Just Tyler with his guitar. Didn't have the rest of the band with him since he agreed to open on short notice. Still managed to get the crowd hyped

"Got My Mojo Working" is a blues song written by Preston "Red" Foster and first recorded by R&B singer Ann Cole in 1956. Foster's lyrics describe several amulets or talismans, called mojo, which are associated with hoodoo, an early African-American folk-magic belief system. It was most famously recorded in 1957 by Muddy Waters with a different arrangement. This version is smoking too, I like the ‘stop and start’ arrangement and they way they distilled down to its simplest form. Another excellent breakdown Michael, of a classic song reimagined by younger artists. Thank you!

I just saw Tyler's wife (Larkin Poe) a few months ago in Bmore. Also, the other guitar player is Brad Whitford's (Aerosmith) son.

You reacted to some of his wife’s band’s stuff - Larkin Poe. TB is the real deal. Hope to see you do more reactions of him. His live stuff is so good. Been to 50 shows over the last 13 years. I’ve got some stuff under ‘thubbster’ account. Between the four of them, Caleb (drums), Noah (the bassist has since left), Graham Whitford (Brad Whitford - Dad), and TB...no words. Just out of this world chemistry. Love these guys and good humans.

Love it. That intro and main riff proper reminds of Tom morello and RATM. That double time section with solo, brilliant, and then just drops back. I know what I'm going to look for to have on while I work tomorrow. Great vid.

I don't watch this channel, but I love TB Shakedown. I wish more people knew about them. They just need to catch that one commercial break in the industry. I wish you'd do a follow up video after learning more about the band and their songs. There's a lot more here than what one video and one song can show.

I actually appreciate the fact that you play on a clean tone and rarely match the tuning of the performance. It takes the focus off of you and your playing, and more on the music and what you are saying!

Tyler is the real deal. Beast of a player, and as you saw, the band is killer.
Well now that you have checked out Rebecca Lovell's husband Tyler, you should check out Megan Lovell's husband Mike Seal. He's a beast, plays with Jerry Douglas. He plays without a pick, so it's a bit different. Here is a recording of Mike's trio doing the Weather Report tune "Havona". It's worth it. ruclips.net/video/sELfa9Mjn3Q/видео.html

There is as much Mojo in this song as there is actual Aloha in downtown Waikiki.Listen to Gatemouth Brown play this for some adult musicianship. Even better, Muddy. Life is too short to listen to beer commercial versions of blues songs.
