Junk Food...

- Convenience is not worth your health, truly. And I will NEVER normalize the consumption of ultra-processed garbage. It isn’t normal. It’s only normal for the past century…along with a host of new health ailments.
Can we really not put two and two together?
A large part of homesteading for me has been reconnecting with my food. I grew up eating a lot of this, and so did all of my friends. Because I have made a complete 180 on my diet, I’m here to tell you the difference.
I look better. I feel better. My body craves real food, and junk food makes me absolutely sick since I have heavily detoxed it.
Your body knows.
Energy drinks were the norm at a young age for me along with processed junk food. Why not when vending machines lined the hallways at school and fast food was an option at every school lunch?
We are not taught real nutrition. We are taught calories in, calories out and by that model a small bag of chips is more worthwhile than a fat-filled avocado.
You see the problem, right?
We are taught a food pyramid that glorifies heavily-sprayed grain consumption but we are not taught how to decipher ingredients and learn what ingredients like aspartame, BHT, or red 40 do to our bodies.
Why? 👀
Also, this “food” is expensive junk food. You save money getting a carton of eggs to eat for breakfast rather than the sugar junk. A lot of these processed chips are more spendy than a tube of ground beef.
Do the comparisons.
Sure, sourcing directly from a farmer can initially be more expensive. But you shouldn’t be asking why their prices are so expensive and should instead be asking why the store prices are so CHEAP.
Also, have you considered the investment into your health?
Learn to preserve food, so you can bulk up during sales on produce and meat and preserve to eat later. When meat goes on sale, stock up and can in different recipes. Freeze for later. Same thing goes with produce.
There are options and processed JUNK doesn’t have to be one of them.
What do you think?

I wish I could watch your shorts without getting PO’d about the constant unnecessary jumping transitions…………
And yet a treat for our kids nowadays is toxic poison.
Tons of healthy homemade treats we can make for our children
Doesn’t have to be
Just looking at those cereals makes me a little sick 🤢
I love how you do your hair ❤️
Thank you!
Okay but if you're poor?? Count your blessings girl. Its giving cosplaying working woman. Make your choices and respect other peoples.
If you're poor, you could choose a better-for-you option of oatmeal (oats and milk) which is cheaper where I'm from
@Joel-t3z and probably not watch this short for recipe ideas right?

Man! And we used to eat that cheese all the time before we knew it was bad.🫣
Thankfully i never liked it anyway, but we ate all the cereal and chips.🥴
And I love your hair, and wish mine would actually hold its shape.❤
That hair is so obnoxious! But I appreciate the message.
