Adrian, I know you say that you aren't a huge piccolo player, but please consider doing more piccolo work! Your sound on the instrument is WONDERFUL!!! You get a darkness and a warmth from the instrument that not very many people can achieve! I've also tried the Muramatsu platinum bonded flute in the past. LUSCIOUS instrument!!
I loved watching your flute journey. I would love to watch more videos like this from other artists. Your flute sound is amazing. Can’t wait to dive more into your videos and music.
Nice video. You have a beautiful sweet sound on the piccolo, especially the Haynes. I too have a Haynes Amadeus, however I took it to the next level with a Keefe head joint which has totally changed the instrument. I really love the dark and rich sound that it produces.
It was between this piccolo, a used Yamaha and a Burkart Resona. The Burkart resona and the Amadeus were both comparable. In the end I want with the Amadeus but I am considering upgrading the headjoint
@@Thedreadedflutist Good morning. I really like my Haynes. I did try the Resona at the same time, but there was just something about the Haynes that really spoke to me. I like a full dark sound especially in the low register. I've read that the Yamaha piccolos can struggle to produce a full sound in the low register because of the conical bore. Since you mentioned that you're considering an upgrade on the head joint, I would highly recommend that you give Keefe a try. They offer 4 models. Try them all. In the end I went with their Traditional cut since it gave me the darkest and richest sound that I love. Very happy with the Haynes/Keefe combo that I now have.

I’m in the process of working on more content. I’m trying to partner with some flute distributors so I can make more videos.

I have the exact same alto flute as you but I don’t know if mine has a riser
It has a riser. 😊
