i own a mk2 focus ST running modXrs which is roughly 330-340bhp and i like it but i would like the chance to actually see one of these in person, i wanted one of these but didn't have a chance so i bought an ep3 and enjoyed that to.
The quality of the vids. are getting better every time. also better editing every vid. congrats mate on the amount of subs u have, u deserve it

I've always loved this generation of the Focus, but it was such a tease when it came out, not only did this RS model not come to North America, but the RS wasn't actually all wheel drive. So, I don't consider this the "daddy" of the Focus, I believe it was the mk1 Ford Focus WRC cars that got people really interested. While I like the look of this car, its like buying a nice Mitsubishi Lancer when you actually want an Evo. Back when these cars were new I opted for the Subaru instead, since they were more inline with the actual rally cars, but I am now happily driving a mk3 Focus RS, I can't wait for winter.

My friend has a honor to drive this car and he said it was "incredibly amazing", cause he still must hold pedal to the medal or that car was arguing. Anyway I really want to have this car one day, Fords are amazing, although stil owning Clio... :D Nice rewiev. (y)

for me this is the ultimate focus rs to have. I always loved the mk 1 and prefer it to the mk 2 and 3. cos of my teenage memories. to get one of these nowadays they are still over £10.000 which is very expensive for a car that is now 13 years old. would love to at least get a drive of one.

ADDING A 2 DIN RADIO RADIO TO A 00-04 FOCUS REALLY HELPS OUT THE DASH DOESN'T IT! I INSTALLED A 6.2" TOCADO 4G WIFI,CD/DVD W/BACK UP CAM & I LOVE IT! THO, IT DID TAKE A SMIDGE (GOOD BIT OF SHAVING OF THE INTERIOR & EDGE OF THE PLASTIC STERIO SURROUND TO MAKE IT FIT!) I USED A DIE GRINDER ON MINE!!! I SEE THEY ADDED A DOUBLE DIN IN THAT FUCUS TO!!! SWEET, NOW, HOW CAN I ADD BOOST TO MY 03 ZETEC VIN 3??? NEED A ECU FROM A 00-04 RS MK1...
i bet it wouldn't last long on a summer track day. that cooling system must be at its very limit, mine is far less stressed and still gets hot if you push it on track. intercooler and alloy rad is next on my list and I'm only at around 270bhp.

what do you mean by us spec turn lights Jamie? these were never exported to the U.S. btw when I was about to get a new car I was watching those, you could easily get your hands on a clean one with about £4k, but I went to the dealership and got my self a FiST. last week I was scanning auto trader for mk1 rs and prices skyrocket as you mentioned. no way I could get my hands on one now, so sad 😖😖

one would think of FORD BEING AN AMERICAN CAR However, I have NEVER seen a mk1 focus in the states! Tho, what do I know? I own a 03 focus se, (2.0 dohc vin 3 zetec) ialso know of the 2.3, 2.0 spi, & the svt 2.0....I want a ecu from a MK-1 RS!!! HOW & WHERE CAN I OBTAIN A RS MK-1 ECU??????????

The weird thing is, whereas the Focus ST170 uses a 6-spd manual by Getrag, the Mk1 RS only has a 5-spd manual! Why could that be?
Josh Bacon the Focus RS was a slouch in sixth, as they found out during development of it. It is only in the Focus ST170 as it is more of a daily rather than a boy racer, so probably for economy an extra gear was thrown into the ST170 and not in the RS :))
Shamsudin Mohamed the reason why the rs had the mtx75 box was because the 6 speed alternative at the time wasn't capable of withstanding the torque. the mtx75 is well known for being strong and reliable, the ratios wouldn't be an issue as they would have used ratios suited to the car. thee 5 speed rs spec mtx75 had ratios unique to that car so they wouldn't have used that as a reson for not using the six speed box
Kid Crack I have an ST170, the ratios are really close so 6th is like 5th on any other car. It's about the top end power, not fuel economy..
I'm not sure it's better than the EP3 to be honest, then again I'd rather have this over a EP3

Way more than that, buddy. Last one to come out of production line in November 2003 was number 4501. The UK got around half of that and the remaining was sold throughout Europe. Rare car, I think I've never saw one live :/
