Thanks Coach! I'm going to do this today at practice with my HS team. You include poles in all of this right? Even the shooting stuff?

Yes, if they’re not working on long passes or approaches, or some other defensive drill.

Thanks, great drill! I'm a one man varsity coach and might want to use this during pre-game warm-ups so I can keep an eye on the team while I warm-up goalies.
You say to have the players return to their original line, would you put middies in the top 2 lines and attack along GLE and at X in this situation? My other thought was to have the players follow their pass to the end of the next line, so they're getting looks from all 5 spots, thoughts?

I think it’s all preference. For the most part, our guys naturally go to where they’ll start during the game and keeping the players where they are just helps them focus on the technique. The technique should be the same or similar in each spot. I can definitely see the value in getting reps from everywhere, it’s just a different aspect for them to get use to.

Daniel Miller That’s awesome! Thanks for becoming a Patron! How do you like the PDF’s? Was there a specific video that sealed the deal for you to become a patron?

@@POWLAX I've just started digging into the PDF's and love the detailed information. I coach at a school where most players don't start until 7th grade (working on that..) so I'm teaching a lot of concepts from scratch. 7th-12th grade we ran versions of the 21-12 offense and that was a great way to be able to teach 4 formations and a lot of concepts to inexperienced players.
