hanks for sharing this. Watching this match was far more exciting than the Mets game last night. I thoroughly enjoyed this. It is the first time I have seen a match with Patterson since I was a child.
Love this -- I became a big fan of Kwolek when I saw his 290 game and 763 series. AND -- it's a great unexpected treat to see WALTER SCHWIMMER doing that presentation. Funny thing: I always noticed his name on the credits, and then, when I was browsing through the library, looking for some book for a book report, I saw a book *by him*, basically an autobio. Of course I used that for the report -- and to this day I still use some advice that he gave in it!!
I used to watch Bob. Kwolak as a kid. In 1985 Bob owned a small 10 lane house in Dayton Ohio. I was bowling in a league there when Bob asked I was interested in bowling with him. I didn't do to bad, but I did learn a lot.
I grew up in Dayton...bowling at Pastime, Congress, Bowlero, McCook's...and a ton of other great houses...before the corps...Aero, Capri, Woodman, Community, Pla-mor, Imperial, etc...
Is there any surviving footage of a Pat Patterson PBA championship? Pat Patterson was a class act, no doubt about it, but we can't seem to find footage of his earlier dominance. A great match, though.
Watched these as a kid in the 60s. Thanks for posting.

He failed miserably here lol!
So much better back then! Good announcer to. He's not trying to be a hero like today's announcers with their big egos.
when Mr. Patterson threw that 1st strike i said uh oh to myself. he found it
.......but the failing continued. lol!
