@@madeline-capi Aged perfectly, this fits amazingly over Vriska's ass kicking in the last update, and only strengthens the hope that we'll get an [S] for the Candy Kids soon.
We been knew from the sneaky li'l 8 in the title that this song is about Vriska/Vrissy and the Candy Kids Pretty sure that Vriska is the drums (as she was in Requiem of Sunshine and Rainbows), Vrissy is violin (she drank her Lalonde juice), and that they share Vriska OG's classic Electric Guitar Leitmotif 1:07 - 1:35 is, I think, Harry Anderson. Cocky, bit of a tool, bit of a dork 2:19 - 2:41 I think is Tavros Crocker. Softer, gentler, with the Latin motifs and guitar of his namesake This is what I'm hearing, I'd love to hear elaborations or different takes EDIT: Just read the May 27th Update and am updating this comment accordingly 3:18 to the end is Yiffy. The song's suspended note and fading out act sort of the transition to someone raised apart from the group, (the "Lost" Candy Kid if I'm to be sophomoric about it) - someone whose combination of strings, electric keyboard, and drums imply someone descended from the efforts of Rose, Jade, and Dave. Unpopular opinion but I really like Homestuck 2. Obviously not in the same way I liked the original, but I think it works.
i personally thought that this 8 string guitar was pitched lower to show its vrissy not vriska, and tavros's Latin guitar just sounds, sexier surprisingly? Huh. Weird. With the augmented keyboard not being a piano sound, but still a piano being harry anderson
Edit: Spoilers, kinda (I apologize if this has already been said somewhere else, but these are my thoughts) I have a theory that the only reason that we are witnessing the events in the Candy timeline is because Vriska is there. She was ripped from the original canon, and dropped into an irrelevant world. However, this is exactly what Vriska h8s the most, being irrelevant. So, I believe that she basically forced the Candy timeline to become relevant. Vrissy herself said that Vriska "talks to them like they aren't even there." And in a way, they _wouldn't_ be there, if it weren't for Vriska.
This is an awesome take on the song! And it could explain dirks presence in the final candy epilogue, he goes there to end vriskas influence over canon (remove the candy timeline) and to try to remove candy from relevance. Maybe a vriska vs dirk sort of thing.
@@peregrinemendicant4758 wow, yeah! It would be awesome to see a showdown between Vriska and Dirk. Hopefully one day she'll actually get to see the fruits of her labor...
I think this song could represent the moment where Vriska finally gives up on hiding inside Harry's house and just loses her crap on the media team, until they finally escape from there.
I think this one is about Obama, trust me on this
Finally someone has the right idea
think we're gonna see obama pop up in a davebot flashback?

I really hope it is.
better be
This deserves to be in an [S], preferably one featuring the Candy Kids.
Man I can't wait until Homestuck^2's first legitimate [S] scene.
@@justswift5369 I have a feeling it may be closer than it appears.

God i don't know why but out of all the new songs this one just feels like the most actual homestuck one.
for me it feels the most undertale
even more than megalovania one
It’s the violins and the chaos

Wait there's a violin?
Lucie Scandrett i think tavros’ part of the song really makes the theory convincing for me

Bruh the soft part is tavrosy as fuck we know this is the candy kids theme for sure
who's that bit at the end supposed to be about?
definitely my favorite track in this album
💕
Yee
Same here, it sound like if Sonic, Anime, and Homestuck all had a child and that child just so happened to be a black belt in every martial art
agreed
Me too
I think this is a Vrissy theme. Or just the candy timeline kids in general. They deserve it
dude for some reason the beginnig reminds me of fallen kingdom minecraft parody
@@descendingDark what, why?
Or hopes and dreams

The instrumentation reminds me of Hopes and Dreams. It's a really hyped song.
That's exactly what I thought!

This take makes so much sense! God I wish someone kicks Ult Dirk's ass up gdi
5 months late but I absolutely agree
Light is the aspect of relevance so it would make sense for Vriska, the Thief of Light to be able to do that.
Ult. Dirk looks way too pissed off to be listening to some of these songs
He's just an edgy weeb trying to be an anime villian. This is like way too up his alley is you ask me
From the picture, he's listening to older og Homestuck albums.
this is the song I will listen to on loop eternally as I build a reputation as Homestuck^2's biggest, most unhinged fan
Well, someone's gotta save this mess of a timeline, and it may as well be her.
they're off to a good start by finally putting down the clown for good, so it's only upwards momentum from there
Can't wait to see the scene that justifies Vrisky And The Candy Kids having a theme this fucking awesome
This sounds like the whole cast of an anime ganging up on an op main villain during the series finale.
why are these songs so good!!! hecking yes
11 years after they doesn't stop to enjoy us....
Am I the only one who noticed that this has the theme of 'Four Kids (and a game they played together)
Is that the Homestuck^2 leitmotif?
I think this song could represent the moment where Vriska finally gives up on hiding inside Harry's house and just loses her crap on the media team, until they finally escape from there.
uh-
This sounds a lot like hopes and dreams.
Yeah yeah
WOW this is so so good!! I think this one is my favorite so far. It’s such massive hype
[S] Omega Kids: Rise Up
makes me pumped up
I'll be back once this is used in a flash
Really ?
augh. this is so good
It kinda reminds me of Hopes and Dreams.
Hopy shit it really does
The end piece may relate to both dave and rose bot as its both their instruments
1:36 a similar leitmottif of undertale
This song is like the polar opposite of even in death.

We see Ultimate Dirk in his natural habitat, listening to the "Beyond Canon" album which we also are listening, amazing isn't it?
Obviously it's unintentional, but I hear a bit of Stickerbush Symphony in there.
Why is this literally Hopes and Dreams, Homestuck edition (TM) 😂?
I feel like the motif at the end is dave's! If you slow it down it sorta sounds like one of the tunes in upwards movement
If the Vriska: Snap section was a flash animation, this would be the music
it's a shame they missed that opportunity and just threw a word dump at us
