These tokens hold up for years based off of what other players are saying. Definitely something fun to do with the punch out tokens from the starter decks. You could complete this in 1.5 days easy - they have a really nice texture to them and are easy to pick up.
They are definitely not perfect. I have been using this for tokens from multiple games for a couple of years. First of all, I have had multiple bottles that were of bad quality. When you put the liquid on, it is a sort milky white. When it dries it becomes clear. But with some bottles this did not happen and it dried up still milky. So try it on 1 before you do all. Also, when you spill, you will destroy the token. The viscosity will help you keeping the liquid on top of the token. But if for whatever reason the liquid ends up next to or under the token.. it is basically a resin glue, so yeah. Lastly, when you put it on it will be a nice 3d bubble that looks very nice. However, when it dries, it will sag a little in the center forming a dimple. It's not terrible, but not as good as you would hope, and definitely not as good as nice plastic tokens, which indeed, are very expensive
I’m going to pin this comment!
you could use dime size coin capsules for the damage tokens, maybe nickel size for the larger tokens.
For those who doesnt want to spend, the dice you use for other games is fine for tracking damage. The other stuff you probably need are the action used markers and the initiative token which can be anything. We use Star Wars souvenir items we've bought from Disneyland. Lego lightsabers also work as tokens if you have them lying around somewhere.
Are the token readily available these days?
Had to come watch this after you told me about it. Gonna order some and give it a try! Now if only I had some XP and Twin Suns tokens to do this on...
Haha… wait for those twin suns constructed decks! I bet they will be coming eventually.
I have a 3d printer - designed and made my own, they look better than GameGenic. Painted them, weathered them so they have that beat-up Tattooine/Starship Hull look, AMAZING.
You sell them?
If you can share the STL files that would be awesome 😊
@@isaac_englart uuuuu me like
This looks awesome! Definitely will be trying it out, thanks for the tip!
I still have mine!
Huge shoutout for the tip ! It’s great for those who don’t really want to dish out the extra bucks when I COULD be using it towards packs 😂

I tried using tape as a kind of low budget lamination... it didn't work so well. Luckily I only did 1, and I have 3 token sets. So I'll give this method a try.
Yeah this method works pretty well - I use the tokens at my LGS now
It's 55 tokens in total and they're super high quality. Much rather have my gamegenic tokens compared to this. This is a substitute until people can get the actual tokens, but don't try to sell it as being anywhere near on par because it's not.
True, but definitely a great substitute for those on a budget or those who can’t get them! Did I say somewhere where they were on par?
@@rebelresource you mentioned they were just as good and mentioned their being like 15 tokens and how they are overpriced.
oo gotcha. Yeah, they are no where near as nice. I think that I said the GameGenic tokens are insanely high quality. I guess what I was trying to say is that they functional similarly and have the same glossy finish.@@86Disab
Them being overpriced is a pretty common opinion. $30 for plastic pieces is a lot of money in this day and age.@@86Disab
@@rebelresource considering they're sold out everywhere and people wish they had them says to the contrary. Might be a popular opinion, but doesn't make it correct.
i copped a bottle. ty
the bubbles are very hard to pop with a toothpick, while trying to flipped no less than 4 into one another and or upside down ruining them
how did it turn out?
@@rebelresource Essentially ruined. i poked at them too much with a toothpick to get the bubbles out, it caused me to flip them over
@@tomtomwhatwhat22 uh oh…. Hahaha. You want some more? Gimme your address in discord I have like 4 plates of tokens
@@rebelresource Its all good, I dont blame anyone but me for the folly, thank you. I would try this again, now knowing what im up against.
