Twin Cummins quad turbo 60 litre V16 QSK60 engines, Citic Pacific Mining purchased two RH400's, numbers 9 and 10 off the production line in 2008, the first outside of North America
@azza85 Yep, spot on. Seems everyone outside the big office agree on this. Priorities are all fucked up. When those crushers are being shut down because of this heads will start rolling out that office door.
Awesome sight to see up close but shovel operator has got his tracks the wrong way and should of got a clean up by the dozer...would of been really good to see the rest of the crew at Cape Preston.
@azza85 LOL...you poor soul, it's bad enough having to supervise the pit operations around the bloody things. Between these and those shitbox trucks we struggle to reach target too often. We should be smashing 120,000 per shift with 2 shovels and the 340.
@judderman37 We wont ever see this one in CAT colours, I hope the next one doesn't come in "bayshit yellow" But I reckon when CAT take over properly the availability might double.
+bigboymarket yep sure is. Interesting reading back through the comments, these shovels are smashing it now, we're ramping up and getting more. The trucks will be changing because CAT aren't going to continue this line. A few weeks ago we got over 70,000 tonnes in one shift.
the bucyrus models of the Rh120 look realy gay with their white and purple liverly i hope cat will at least have the sense to paint the new machines in decent colours, even going back to the old style of red and white, but cat tan would look just as good, dont think it looks like babyshit yellow mate! have a look at old pond publishing website for dvds on these monster machines called 'massive earthmovers' Ive got the lot of them and I highy reccomend them!
