Busking the Blues in Mexico City (I got stopped 4 times!)

- There is one street in Mexico City where you will find most of the buskers. It stretches from Plaza Zocalo to Calle de Bolivar and beyond. It is called 16 de Septiembre. The first official who stopped me said there were designated places. He told me I could play in front of the Nike shop 100 metres further down. He showed me exactly where, but the shop ended up calling the police and complaining anyway. It is a matter of trial and error. The good thing is that it's a busy street most of the time, even during the week. A good place to start, and the police are not nearly as scary as I was told. They are just doing their job and trying to keep everyone happy.

I am Mexican, but I think that those people did not realize the talent you have. I was there, listening to you from beginning to end, enjoying good music. It's a pity. I hope artists like you were born in my country. Of all the people out there trying to play a style similar to yours, they can't even play 20% of what you do.

What I find amazing is this man with a long beard and long hair is sitting in a public place, performing one miracle after another, and people walk by as if nothing is happening. As if in their mind yeah we see miracles happen every 5 minutes. Why does God continue to put up with us? Markus you are a miracle worker doing Gods work creating music for the soul.........
