1st Half, Presidents Cup semi final Ayr Boswell v TASS 2009 16th March 2024

Both teams settled down into playing, defending & passing the ball. TASS defended well & tried to mount attacks on the Ayr goal with little success. Ayr had a couple of chances before they scored the 1st goal in the 8th minute with a goal scored from a corner after a scramble in the 6 yard box. Again TASS tried to build up pressure on the Ayr defence but they held out to clear any through balls. In the 17th minute Ayr scored again to make the score 2-0. TASS were up against a good team today & were further under pressure when the ref in the 21st minute gave Stephen Jamieson a Red card for foul language at the ref. But fair dues to the TASS boys they kept trying to get the upper hand on Ayr. The play was more in the TASS half now & Ayr made it 3-0 in the 34th minute with a shot just inside the box which went into the corner of the net.
