Great job as always Mike. It's always those little straightforward jobs that end up causing the most trouble.

Hi Mike - would you recommend sealing the raw wood with a bit of shellac when doing a job like this? Thanks again for your generosity in sharing your expertise.

That’s good suggestion Gary. I didn’t this time around …. but I will next time.

poor choice using super glue not flexable for this type of problem great video showing how much work it is to fix it and do it right

Off subject of this video. Where can I find a link to those 16 packs of compensated nut blanks? Honestly I only need a couple but I’m desperate to get my Godin Multiac to closely intonate.
BTW, On Ozzys Diary of a Madman he has a line, “Good intentions pave the way to Hell” 🤷‍♂️

Is your Multiac a steel string model ?

Yes, Steel w/SA(13 pin GK-2A & regular 1/4” outputs) brass piezo saddles In bridge make a compensated nut a no go🤷‍♂️. But I have other guitars I’d like to try compensated nuts on.
I’ve recently seen an old lock for a Floyd Rose but it is mounted behind the nut on the headstock. I’m wondering if this isn’t the solution I’ve looked for forever! Regardless, can you please send the link for the nut blanks?!?!🙏
This is the 2nd or 3rd time I’ve asked in the last month. Thanks again! Your channel is invaluable for me! I love it! ✌️

      @@StringTechWorkstations Thanks! 👆🙏
If I could, I’d ship my Floyd Rose equipped guitar to you but I recently sold & shipped a sweet Schecter from here, S. Carolina to Pennsylvania and was SHOCKED at how much it cost in 2023! $160 US one way! I’ve already dropped a lot of $ into this upgrade project (Lindy Frailens, etc!) If I weren’t sentimentally attached to the body(which I decorated) id’ve simply bought another body. Mine is an Ibanez Jem which limits my neck options because of the unique heel. I’d send a picture but RUclips doesn’t have the option! I hate to blow you up with questions & pick your brain but I’m very impressed with your work skills & ability, so I value your opinion. If I could I’d scrap the Floyd rose as my taste have changed to more bluesy jazz. But the attachment to the body🤦‍♂️ I put a lot of time & effort in this decretive body.
My last resort now may lay in your truthful humble opinion on the “Lok n Roll” compensated locking nut. I’m a stickler for intonation 🤷‍♂️ Have you any experience with them.
      Sincere Thanks, Roddy✌️

ruclips.net/video/1uJWRnD-RNc/видео.htmlsi=0NPzFzzpSSQqTNgw I make the profile of the compensated nut blanks large enough to swap out a comp nut ... if that's what you choose to do. I currently have a ( robotic-tuners ) LP that the customer changed tuners .... the nut on this one was " adjustable" ... stay tuned that video is coming right up. BTW: Yes ... shipping charges have increased since the pandemic .... maybe they're doing some "claw-back" on the $$$ they lost ... ?!? Who knows ?
