- I wasn't intending on revealing this at this point, but things got very delayed, and I am very acutely aware of what video I ended last year on.
So... here's a thing. Ever wondered just how Quint would fair against some OG Mega Man stages and bosses? Ditto.
But for a bit of spice, "Time Blast Challenge". Collect items to prevent the bomb from going off!
A selection of micro stages based on the original games and a smattering of boss battles.

Stages and bosses in the video are in order:
Guts Man (Mega Man 1 [NES] )
Heat Man (Mega Man 2 [NES] )
Konro Man (Rockman & Forte: Challenger from the Future [WONDERSWAN])
Ring Man (Mega Man 4 [GameBoy])
Hornet Man (Mega Man 9 [Wii/PS3/Xbox])
Wave Man (Mega Man 5 [NES])
Mars (Mega Man 5 [GameBoy])
Since I spent the last 3 months basically sick, this was a easy way to get back into practice coding again, and honestly wasn't much of a time sink as it looks.
Mars and Wave Man are not in Megamix, but Hanabiran was. Seeing how I coded him in that though, I figured, what the hell.
Thats hot Your cute
I predict that you won't get this done until October, November, or December hits. (or 2022)
I really like little details like the clock collectibles bouncing on Wave Man's waves. I also like how they're integrated into boss' patterns, often forcing you to take risks, like how you have to get close to Mars to get those sweet sweet +8 seconds.
This is a unique take on the "time attack" mode...especially because the enemies can literally attack time.
Yess!!
Megaman v in quint's revenge 2!!
How are you guys? Nice to know that 2021 is off to an equally crazy start to the world that 2020 was, huh?
I always knew that the first few months or so would be rough anyway. Things will improve later, but not that quickly.
Apart from that, I'm doing fine. Got plenty of games to keep me occupied while I'm trying to get a Switch and waiting for some orders for cool stuff.
Doing fine, pretty much. Great to see that progress has resumed, and I hope things continue to improve for you!
I am doing fine, continuing with my studies as usual. I am currently on a break, so I usually entertain myself trying out Mega Man fan games. I hope you are doing well, too!
in short: we almost had the third world war, Australia caught fire and had a virus that stopped the world, but we won GTA 5 for free!
I'm doing great thank you, I hope you have an amazing day
Nice touch adding both NES and non-NES stages in there, playing them with Quint seems like a blast. The time challenge is a bit of a let down for me though, so here's a suggestion: How about having an option to play these new stages either normally or timed? Maybe after beating them we permanently unlock them later for casual plays, or maybe we could choose how we want to play before starting the stage.
Okay, wow. I didn’t think you had too or would, but you did. This is amazing.
Now I can't wait and I'm curious...
How many time blast stages there will be?
Only those 7 stages?
Each stage for each megaman game?
Or what? Curiosity...
The RM boss theme from the Mega Man 9.5 OST finally got used in something, I can't thank you enough for this.
That said, this mode is a pretty cool idea and looking forward to it (though the Heat Man segment kinda scares me).
It got remixed into Wily Boss Theme in Mega Man 4.
So. If the bomb goes off, it's immediately a game over?
Yes, the goal is to either defeat a boss or reaching the mini-stage exit. It's not an endless run or randomized (random chance is more or less removed from this mode) and you can select what you want to go after.
these clock collectible and the destroyable ones inspire me to make more original mechanic like this
Was that stage from the wonderswan game?
Cool concept and implementation; I myself, being a more casual player, would probably not be the one this game would be for (I freely admit the concept of constantly collecting time to survive a stage gives me unpleasant flashbacks to the shitty PS2 Shinobi), but I can definitely see the appeal of this to more professional players.
It's been years. When will Quint's Revenge 2 be out? Or is it canceled?
Okay... I wait game... I wait... I waaaaaaaait... 4 years
.... I wait............ 6 years... And game is not out... :(
Looks awesome! Bosses being able to shoot down the stopwatch items brings an additional dimension to the difficulty of challenges; choosing between playing safe, or risk taking damage to gain more time.
I'm legit excited for this game and I've been following these videos for a while. Can't wait until I get to play it.
When dose Quite Revenge 2 come out
Whenever it’s done
I was hoping to see Quint have to actually hold a giant clock bomb...lol. excited for this!
When will the full game finally come out?
Times Up!
Let's do this!
what happen if you lose on time blast?
Man, this game looks so good. Can't wait to play it
Shoutouts to using the best MMV fight
This looks like it'll be a blast to play
No pun intended
I saw your twitter this video.
Epic
Can you shout me out
Someone set us up with the bomb.
Yo, I love this🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 It's so well done!!!!! I can't wait for Quint's Revenge 2!!!!!
I hope you're having fun making this game again dav.
Seems an interesting concept^^ can't wait to try it
This is amazingly well done!
That looks awesome!!! Great job, as always
This is an incredibly cool addition, how many stages are you going to have in the mode?
I have... no idea. I guess its whatever stages and bosses I think are interesting in this mode that aren't also represented.
The stages don't take too long, bosses are another matter, but I at least have fun porting those.
