Happy Easter Joey. For the deer, I use a scarecrow with a sweaty hat and some cologne sprayed on a shirt, and move it around in the garden every 10 or 12 days and have good luck. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Good video Joey. IH did not make the cub through 140 tractors for people who were afraid of dirt and grease. Every time you change cultivator and implement setups you end up crawling on the ground and in the grease.
Try using a mixture of diesel and used motor oil for the rust prevention on the fertilizer hopper setup.

You’ve got to get down and dirty putting a fertilizer attachment on... I learned to wipe the grease off the outside of the fitting on the hopper shaft before I got it on my shirt... the chain idlers are to keep tension on the chain and to keep them from rubbing on anything...

Save yourself some money. What works well here in New England his put up some fence posts and use fishing line instead of wire. I’ve usually put four or five strands up and the deer can’t see them and when they walk into it, it really spooks and they run away works well for keeping deer out of corn. and vegetables

I saw this video a while back . Didn’t have a blade but i did make one out of a piece of wood and my bolts weren’t long enough so I used heavy duty electrical ties. And bro it works great . Biggest problem is don’t get it to low or the row will be flatter than I wished .

Look into the plot saver. But it's probably more expensive than just the electric tape.
I have had good success with malorganite fertilizer. Those sensitive plants you can go down the row and just drop it along the row. If it's lots of area you might just get by doing the outside ends as they don't want to move into it.

Great video. Especially for us novice. The pry bar you mentioned was referred to as a “lady slipper” by most of us. I’m just too old and under strength to constantly be installing and changing the implements. That is the reason I use to justify having several Farmall’s. Of course the batteries and maintenance become an issue. A fun issue for me at the present time. Storage is a different matter however. Thanks for sharing Joey. I hope you had a good “holiday” and thanks for reminding folks what the day really means. Stan here.

1st video I ever watched of yours a few years back was installing your fertilizer drive. I actually commented about how you hooked the john deere hopper to it. Thanks for sharing. By the way I can tell you been doing good. Your looking pretty spry and fit crawling around on the ground. I'm at 207 finally. I use the wd 40 gel spray in all my hoppers, it is really sticky and stays where you spray it.

Watched this for the 3rd time. I am mounting the main drive unit that my IH Duplex seed hopper will sit on. Also mounting the fertilizer distributor today. I notice that where you screwed the tapered head bolts for the main drive into the frame of the tractor, I have through holes that are un-tapped. and about 3/4". I'll have to use a couple of 8" by 5/8" bolts and nuts to attach it. The old Super AV has "bosses" and they are tapped like yours are. No "bosses" or tapped holes on the Super AI, strange.
