I think RTR 310 being a naked bike looks much better with that tin can of an exhaust. Whereas the RR310 looked so awful with the same. That’s probably the reason why TVS dint bother to change it. But Insee many hating this exhaust already. Perhaps the sound is much better on this exhaust than the RTR 200 exhaust

Try Honda CB300R too, it has more low end torque and feels quite refined, milage per litre is 34 to 38kmpl which is nice for 300cc motorcycle and a great choice for long term as it's super reliable
Please strap a V box to check correct 0-100 timings, KTM has minimal speedo errors, so a 100kmph on TVS speedo ‘will’ not be equal to KTM’s speedo.
Also LC4c engine is researched and designed by KTM Austria engineers like LC8 family of engines used on bigger dukes, don’t say Bajaj created the engine, they just manufactured it.

They've meticulously carved out this Duke with the only intent of making it the best, in every aspect and it shows. It's pretty hard to make such motorcycles at such prices. What a roller-coaster of a turnkey year this has been. Of all the launches that got me excited, this is by far the best and most awaited and it didn't disappoint one bit. Prospective owners note, this is the bike that's gotten nothing but praises from the entire journo brethren of India unanimously with nothing left to nitpick, literally nothing. If you plan to go for this bike, your investment is going to the right place.

Performance is always much better than useless features.
I honestly like RTR way more better look than KTM. Also, the tyre pressure monitoring which is an underrated and the display looks way more cooler than KTM. Best comparison in terms of power and features.

@@breaker981 tvs is kinda playing a trick where they are showing base price but after adding adjustable suspension and other options its price end up in ballpark of ktm and its not as good as machine as ktm 390
so please only consider the price of rtr after addition of additional recommended options

I'd say apache is overall better buy in the long run. Tpms, cooled seat and cruise control are features that you can't do without if you ever get them. Ktm guys will say you don't drive features which is true but nobody races everyday either! And rtr is no slouch in performance department, sure ktm might be better but I'd rather have other things too with a bit loss in performance. Who drags race everyday on Indian road and who pays for a track even if you have it in your city. If you use your brain, rtr is a 100% better buy.
Features of Apache may be attracting you but the problem with TVS is their mechanics don't even know how to service rtr160 4v
@@user_Shadow_YT Service is not a complicated thing in my books, everyone in this day and age can easily service their own vehicle unless it's a major service like checking valve clearances and all that. Oil change filter change anyone can do. One thing I'll say is that when a new product is launched, there are problems always and it takes time to finesse a product. So I wouldn't jump on rr310 but after a first few lots, I'd buy it without thinking of service issues cus if there aren't any fundamental problems with the product, then there is not much that can go wrong with modern vehicles! Nowadays, anything you buy that has been in the market for an year or two wouldn't have any major issues. And these aren't 200hp bikes either that would need special mechanics. In the end it's a small single cylinder engine.

@@breaker981 exactly, fully specked rr310 is still 50-60k cheaper than duke 390. Those who really don't do track days and don't do everyday chores at 120kmph are better off with rr310. This shouldn't even be a debate. It's just Indian's hating Indian products for some reason!

I am appreciating the TVS for setting up a bench mark ,but TVS should have provided the heated grips on handlebar as well because no one is going to ride the bike only with a heated bum to ladakh or Himalayas

Also a cup holder, music system, back rest for rider. Etc and list goes on.
hands have soo many controls and functions to do, frozen hands makes it too hard to squeeze the breaks & close the clutch again and again frequently; but bum has nothing to do except sitting in a place, still it is a very practical feature💯

It so happened i went to buy Hyosung 650,and instead bought duke 390 in the 2013,only reason for buying was switchable ABS,and at price 2,15000 on road mumbai was s great deal,it was eye catchig bike at that period of time.

Duke is only expensive by 7k compared to fully loaded topmodel (adjustable suspension, cooling seat, bi direction quick shifterl, cornering abs, etc)of rtr310

The main problem with the Apache 310 is the service center. TVS service centers are not that good for 310 series.

I have ridden both duke 390 old one and bmw g310 rr which is somewhat same as this apache. I love ktm but in long run if u use bike daily, ktm no where matches tvs/bmw. Tvs has better heat management, good ground clearance, good mileage.

TVS should have thought about going the KTM way. Offset monoshock and a new chasis for better cooling. And reduce the prices so that the market is disrupted.

...these r the machines beyond the reach of the avearage joe !! Expensive to buy, maintain and run, the best engine capacity for Indian sport bike market is 160 to 200 cc. They provide enjoyable power, torque and also sensible fuel average . Tvs must focus on their RTR 160 4v and 2004v , these two machines r in a desperate need of an update eg. Usd forks, color instrument panel, 100mm radial front tyre, better side stand, hazard lights etc. 😥😥
