      Audi had build in Solarpanels in the sunroof as an extra option for the A6-A8 since 1995-2012 dunno why they stopped, but it cooled your car down by activating the car fans inside, when the inside temp was higher than outside! And some A8 versions with a bigger sunroof would even top up your batterie, even in the wintertime! 🥶
      When you came to your car it would be a reasonable temperature, without burning your hands on the steering wheel!
      So you could also leave your dog 🐕 for a short time in your car, without killing it!

      This would be depending on a number of factors though. One big one being outside temperature and time of day, plus your relation to the sun and other potential heat sources or objects that can reflect sunlight and heat.

    $90 for three CPU fans and a cheap solar panel is absurd. This is about $10 of parts.

    • @popeyegordon
      @popeyegordon 2 года назад

      The cost of parts are Not Important. Only the value of the finished product. To make one of these housings weather proof would be hugely time consuming for a good fit. In this case the product is no longer sold. RUclips stopped posting the dates their videos go up so it is easy to get an old onw without knowing.

      If you were really that paranoid about it, you could make a custom bracket that takes the place of the plastic ones provided that would prevent someone from pushing them in. But as others have said, if someone really wants to steal your car, they'll find a way to do it.

    If you can only afford only one, get window tint and a foldable windshield sun shield rather than this. If you get two of these vents so they work when the sun hits either side of the car you will see an improvement. Ignore the stupid reference to "poisonous gasses" which vanish as soon as you start driving. Note that this model's panel will be damaged at highway speeds but other designs will not.

      @@calsand6 False. All tint for consumers is aftermarket but there are lots of good brands. I use Gila vinyl cling tint here in hot as hell Florida. It is good as new after 5 years and still will peel off effortlessly if I want to. Some of it is on the outside of my windows, strictly against directions and yet it still is good and durable. No fading.

      @@calsand6 That's why I use totally removable glue free static cling tint. At the moment you show the car to a buyer you can demonstrate how the tint peels off in seconds and can be re-applied later easily because the trimming to fit is already done. Some window vent shades just snap in place too.

    I don't believe this gadget actually works. Three small computer fan connected together, with a 20 piece link solar setup and a mini vent that emits air out-of your car. Actually it only blow an inch of air away. That means you have to put real close to you in the car to feel a little effect.

    The significance of this solar ventilator lies in its ability to remove smoke from the car, helping to keep the air and the car's interior fresh. However, it doesn't offer much benefit when the air conditioning is on, as it can also pull cool air out of the car. Additionally, it would be more versatile if it could also operate on a car charger during the rainy season.

      The ambient air in a car will only usually get to maybe 120-130 degrees F at most, but surfaces, like dashboards have been reported of getting in the upper 160-200 degree F range, so 80 degree C isn't entirely wrong, depending on what exactly you are claiming can get to be 80 degrees C. If it's surfaces, then it's very possible. Ambient air in the car, not as likely.
