I am hooked. You can thank Tarrol for putting me on to this series. I'm another Goblins fan. My favorite line of the whole series is "I'm supposed to spend a few hours meditating or something, but I find I just sit there and pretend." the idea that someone can remain awake indefinitely by pretending to meditate still cracks me up. Joanna, I have the biggest crush on your character Edda. She has all the qualities I would want in a girlfriend/pet puppy. Whenever I watch episode 1, I always think
I have to say, I've really gotten into this series...I like how everyone's zoned in w/out being overly corny (although of course, there's some corn in there) - the writing, while poking fun at the usual D&D stereotypes is also surprisingly engaging. Spreading the word- its really well done.
Was brought here by a forum post for the webcomic Goblins, and fell in love after the second episode. I hope to see the next episode soon, and look forward to more Martin. Sure he's whiny, but he's hilarious. And that's why I love him. Also, great guy that you got for Torval. He doesn't even need magic to be enchanting with that voice. And I'm a straight guy! Nice natural charisma there!
I'm a goblins reader aswell! I love this. Edda is just adorable and badass at the same time, it's awesome! And I love Martin :D I will most definitly tell all my friends about you guys!
@SeanFerrol Thank you so much, Sean! We're pretty happy with how everything has turned out, ourselves. I'm glad the Turpster could point you in our direction. Spread the word, and the views will come! :)
@OriginalDramagirl For sure! Edward is awesome! He was the fight choreographer for episode 12 and 13. The Edda vs Hobgoblin fight couldn't haven't happened without him.
@Chessrook44 Awesome, thanks for the great comments! Both Daniel (Martin) and Edward (Torval) are fantastic actors - and they just happened to train at the same school in Queensland!
@Kalmoneiros all the costumes are made by Fernando and Veronica from odds and ends bought from thrift stores, our camera gear is super cheap ($800 cameras T2I) and we use cheap audio equipment (Rhode video mic and zoom) the locations are mostly forests behind our makeup artists house
I came here because of Thunt, the creator of the Goblins comic. I am also surprised that your videos don't have hundreds of thousands of views, yet. Well I am sure trying to spread the word! I wish you good luck with the series, greetings from Greece. :)
@BookGirl92 Thanks! I'm glad you're liking the show! And the best way to help us out is to tell your friends, so thanks for spreading the word. Goblins rulezz!!
Greeting from the future!! Your deeds have not been in vain and we are entertained!!! All Hail Snuffles Lord of Vorpal Badgers!!!! "One, two! One, two! And through and through The vorpal Badger went growl~gnack! He left it beat, and with it's defeat He went galumphing back." Our sincere apologies to Mr. Dodgson for "paraphrasing" his great work ;)
@mightyjoanna Aw, you're sweet. I believe you've done a great job so far with the series, the acting is really good, people usually don't expect that from this kind of series. Oh, one more thing, consider adding optional english subtitles on your youtube videos, I think the website provides that feature, or something like that at least. It's not always easy to catch all the dialogues, specially for foreign viewers. I did not have any major problem but I know it can be an issue for some people.
@SeanFerrol Thanks Sean, The Turpster rocks, I've been a fan since Wow Insider. It wasn't soon after they left that podcast that Joanna and I stopped playing WoW.... coincidence? While watching the episodes did you see the WRAITHS short? It has Edda in it.
@SeanFerrol The very short answer is ASAP. :) I feel bad about the wait, and I will def. do a blog post about the complications of what's going on on the Standard Action website. Our marketing team is the same as our post-production team; we're doing a lot of marketing for Season 2 , and they only have so many hours in the day. We don't have the budget to have them do marketing and post at the same time, so everything is slowing down. It all comes down to cash.
@jonydude We didn't get the rest of your comment! :) I'm happy you're liking the show, and our particular brand of weird humour. And Edda is about the most fun character EVER to play, so I'm glad you like her too. And she probably wouldn't be insulted at all at you comparing her to a puppy. Though that dream girl of yours might be, so when you meet her, try to keep that on the down-low. Just sayin' ;P
Another comment, it's scary how Martin is almost exactly like someone I used to play with. Even down to the haircut, hair colour and Australian accent. We stopped playing with him because our styles didn't match. He enjoyed leveling up, hated battle, argued for things he wouldn't hemself put up with as a DM and refused to fight the vicious white rabbit because it was "stupid". Martin's temper tantrums look exactly like his! Question for the entire cast: How do you compare with your character?
Also, sorry about the doublepost, but I have to say... BEWARE THE MIGHT OF SNUFFLES, HONEY BADGER. I know you never said he was a honey badger but those things are badass and it would make sense.
Also, wouldn't it be something if Ikosa had possessed Torval's body that whole time, and when they defeated that form of her that is what had actually initially weakened her/?
@jonydude We'll see what we can do! We'll hopefully have some t-shirts for sale online soon - if you can make it to one of our Games Day events in Vancouver we're selling a few of them in person already!
@jonydude Crazy! Actually, it's quite interesting how the cast members really are quite different from their characters - I mean, they all find elements of themselves in the characters, that's why they play them so well. But Daniel is very easy going and has an amazing sense of humor, much unlike Martin; Tara is incredibly bubbly; and Edwin is a rather intelligent, serious chap. There is a lot of Edda in me, but most of the time I have to be a lot more responsible. :)
@mightyjoanna Only just got to a computer then. The fact that it was 5 hours after your reply is just a coincidence. Basically, I was just saying that if willingness to buy a 150gp robe and crossclass with fighter and ignoring all your barbarian abilities isn't love, then I don't know what love is. That wizard doesn't know what he lost. Also Edward as Torval is perfect. You couldn't have found a better actor, but if he ever quits, replace him with Russel Crowe. He might do almost as well.
This series is so good. Sad that more people do not know about it... Can I point you to another undiscovered gem like yourself. Google "Four Tanks and a Healer."

Beware the wrath of Snuffles.
I have responsibilities but yet I can't stop watching!

Episode 13 is up, it's called Hell Hath No Fury. We're shooting season 2 right now.
This series is fantastic. Why hasn't it got more views?
The people must be told of this awesomeness!
Also, Edda is awesome. :D
I was sent here by TIPoAA as well, I'll be passing this awesomeness along to my D&D buddies :)
I'm a goblins reader aswell! I love this. Edda is just adorable and badass at the same time, it's awesome! And I love Martin :D I will most definitly tell all my friends about you guys!
these deserve so many more views!
It's been difficult to pick a favourite episode, though this one... Yes, this one stands out.
@613TheEvil Thanks for watching, and for spreading the word about us!
@SeanFerrol Thank you so much, Sean! We're pretty happy with how everything has turned out, ourselves. I'm glad the Turpster could point you in our direction. Spread the word, and the views will come! :)

I love the fight scenes from season one :) Can't wait to see more like them in season three!
Best ep yet.
@tehactionfan Cool thanks! Tipoaa is great, we were so excited when they used the intro we made!
As tempting as it is, Australia to Vancouver is a bit of a hike just for a T-shirt
The hobgoblin champion has a similar appearance to the smarter orc from Journey Quest.

Ohhh rage fatigue... you think that she'd be able to resist that at least once.
Vorpal badger for teh win!
Sunnydale Square! Buffy Reference!
best episode yet. LOVE me some snuffles!!
@RamNaima Thank you! I think she's pretty awesome, too! :)
Am I the only one whom Wendie reminds Virginia from The Tenth Kingdom?
Awesome!
Greeting from the future!! Your deeds have not been in vain and we are entertained!!! All Hail Snuffles Lord of Vorpal Badgers!!!!

Wow the future! What's 2019 like? Do we have flying cars yet?
@@Phasefirefilms Sadly no but we do have a refined sense of good entertainment and independent creators. :)
martin... still my favorite
Phasefirefilms when are ya'll going to put the other half of season 1?
@Chessrook44 "The honey badger has been referred to by the Guiness Book of World Records as the most fearless animal in the animal kingdom. " ;)

love it love it love it
Do you buy or rent all those gear? What about the locations... are you far from the... some places?
@SeanFerrol Thanks Sean, The Turpster rocks, I've been a fan since Wow Insider. It wasn't soon after they left that podcast that Joanna and I stopped playing WoW.... coincidence?
While watching the episodes did you see the WRAITHS short? It has Edda in it.
@Phasefirefilms Exactly! Which is why it was able to defeat that half-ogre single-handed. Pawed? Whatever.
Already at the first part of the season one finale. So sad, but so happy that it's not done yet. =D

Did Edda quote Han Solo?

Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra
I thought one could not be resurrected if a soul of that person has already been judged in the city of the dead...
Also, sorry about the doublepost, but I have to say... BEWARE THE MIGHT OF SNUFFLES, HONEY BADGER. I know you never said he was a honey badger but those things are badass and it would make sense.
She really needs to level up. She's still getting hit with rage fatigue.
And Firefly. :-)
We get the information as it plays out, but the time skips between episodes can be a little disorienting.
Yup. No one wins in a headbutt
@jonydude Riiiight. Okay, online it is!
Also, wouldn't it be something if Ikosa had possessed Torval's body that whole time, and when they defeated that form of her that is what had actually initially weakened her/?
@RamNaima @welcomehomedaddy Yes! Go! Spread the word!! :D
@jonydude We'll see what we can do! We'll hopefully have some t-shirts for sale online soon - if you can make it to one of our Games Day events in Vancouver we're selling a few of them in person already!
Thanks! That would be Ashley Young. She's pretty much a prosthetics prodigy, in my opinion. She's like, twelve. Okay, maybe 20. But still.
snake, it's a snake!!!!
GOOOO SNUFFLLLESSS
Wait so... Clearly the cleric has fallen. So why does he have his powers?
It's paladins that fall- clerics are more likely to change gods. Possibly the bracelet is a holy symbol for an evil (or at least chaotic) deity.
+some Thang He has cure spells, so he's probably chaotic neutral
Yea thanks. I never played d&d much. Just some bg

What the druid did - punch to the face...
What the druid should have done - fire ball to the crotch!!!
You can blame my iPhone for cutting my comment short. I'll rewrite it when I get to a computer.

@welcomehomedaddy Likewise!
And now I will go spread the word to my friends in turn.
love the Russian henchman.
beware of the badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger! Mushroom! Mushroom!
This series is so good. Sad that more people do not know about it...
Can I point you to another undiscovered gem like yourself.
Google "Four Tanks and a Healer."
Is there likely to be anymore T-shirt perks at IndieGoGo? I want to promote this show with a stylish, witty, overpriced T-shirt!
Why are the Goblins finger-tips white if his skin is supposed to be green?
Wait did Edda seriously kill Jayn? That's... that's just a load of crap right there, seriously.
Honey badger don't care.
Ewww that's nasty.
;-)
