  • Ingredients :
    Paneer : 250g (cut into batons)
    Oil : 3 Tbsp
    Cumin seeds : 1 tsp
    Red chillies : 2 whole
    Onion : 1 (finely chopped)
    Tomato : 2 (pureed)
    Ginger paste : 1 tsp
    Garlic paste : 1 tsp
    Green chillies : 3-4 (slit)
    Tomato ketchup : 5-6 Tbsp
    White vinegar : 2 tsp
    Salt : to taste
    Red chili powder : 1 tsp
    Coriander powder : 2 tsp
    Haldi : ¼ tsp
    Onion : 1 (halved and cut into semi circles)
    Tomato : 2 (deseeded and cut into strips)
    Green capsicum : 1 (deseeded and cut into strips)
    Green coriander : 1½ Tbsp
    Method :
    In a kadai, add the oil. Once hot, add cumin and red chillies. Now add the chopped onion. Saute till onion turns light brown. Add the ginger and garlic paste. Saute for a minute and add the pureed tomatoes. Saute till oil leaves the sides. Add the green chillies and all dry spices and saute for a minute. Add the tomato ketchup and vinegar and mix well. The base for the dish is ready.
    Before serving, add the onion, tomato and capsicum strips mix well and saute on high flame for about a minute. Carefully, add the paneer and 1 Tbsp of coriander and toss lightly.
    Serve hot, garnished with green coriander.
