kids a senior 😂
That kid is a highschool freshman? I've gotta figure out his training regimen lol
I'm not sure I understand this. Why is hip hinge the big things right now in hitting instruction? Some great hitters have good hip hinge while other hall of fame hitters have ZERO hinge or start off with hinge and come out of it during the swing. So my question is, how is it that these hall of fame hitters succeeded without hip hinge? This is not meant to criticize.
Hip hinge is taught thru the sequential hitting method which is pretty much obsolete with elite hitters now. The quickness of the launch with a properly weighted leg takes that whole theory out of the equation. To be honest, it’s useless training.
@@JohnRayD what do you teach, or suggest for a proper hitting sequence.
Did he play for team USA couldn’t tell
Looks nothing like Barry Bond’s swing. I think his swing is happening with hip rotation only and weight seems 60/40.
All energy is being applied to the ball at contact .. is that correct?
I'm not sure I understand your response. Are you saying that sequential hitting is useless...that launch quickness is more important than swinging in sequence? Please explain
I'd destroy this swing with up and in fastballs all day. This swing is either a bomb or a strikeout
And why do you say or think this? What is wrong with his swing, and/or the approach that is being taught here?

It would be hard to consistently hit 96+ with this push of the barrel. From what I hear the minor leagues are filled with this swing. Guys in the majors are starting to apply all the force from behind and not to the ball., allowing ball to travel more Soto - Trout - Judge- - Bomds- Luis Arrias - Kerry Carpenter. Jus sayin
@@JohnRayD all these guys you mentioned have different swings. This kids swing is fine. I didn't know what your definition is of pushing the barrel, but this definitely ain't it.
I doubt you could throw enough to the same spot to destroy this swing.
I don't think you realize how much harder it is to hit now days, in the majors and minors.
Good insight .. I agree it’s harder than ever to hit todays pitching, don’t misunderstand. My point is that his launch is more of a forceful push which is what pitchers blow up. HLP Is pretty much the future of hitting. Are you familiar? … jus shush I understood it better
* wish
Canada? Lol
