Hi, I have this Tsunami pump installed. Due to water disruption, we switched off the pump switch. Now that the water is back, we switched it on but it won't restart. It shows "Failure". Can you advise how to restart the pump? Thanks.

when its working with electric, do we need to turn off the head of the by pass piping system ?

Normally, the bypass isolation valve remains open. So that when pump is switched off manually, the bypass will supply non pressurised water at much lower flow.

if inlet suction tapping directly from water board with pressure (which i believe illegal) then when electricity fail, pump fail, water board pressure will automatically take over. so check valve is useful in this scenario......however when inlet pressure is from water tank then this check valve serve no purpose.....it is better to install check valve at the pump outlet....

The controller top has an outlet check valve built-in, a discharge check valve is redundant. The bypass check valve is essentially required when the pump is running or electricity is down. However, a suction check valve after the tee off of bypass line should be installed and not showed by manufacturer but showed in manual when working with the water tank next to the pump. This is the correct setup.
