Krull, will you Please add the third moon into a redux? He looks like an earth and it is used in nali castle flyby. I would like to see him rising in skycity.
I'd love to play this. It is really easy to fall in love with this game. :) Will this be a multiplayer event? If not you should consider it because everybody is going to play this masterpiece. haha

If you could make this game available in VR Co-op there's no telling how much money I would pay. Even for just the first few levels, and botmatch. Put it on sidequest and people could help you work out bugs. It sounds like this is just a labor of love for you but seriously start a crowdsource and take my money HA!!

Childhood memories, i remember when it came out, i was about 13-14 years old.
Played it at my friends house on software mode.
Krull, it is beautiful. the extradimensional Earth and her moons and suns are amazing. Scariest part is when is night, you walk through the darkness in peace under the stars, then Big Pure Green UFO burn the darkness around with it's evil plans

I truly enjoy working on this project. For me it’s a big thing that others like the work I do and even I can’t wait to finish this project.
One day you can step through the levels without any gap and experience Unreal again like your first ever play through.

This should be getting released on the modern day consoles to support its 25th anniversary next year.
Fun-fact: When i play Unreal i always use the console-command killpawns. Because, when i played the game the first time, i hated the jumpscares. For example in the famous mine-scene, where we had to activade a button, it goes dark and a Skaarj jumped out. I was so shocked in my first play-through. And happy new year. :-)
It's been such a long time since we got any update on this project and now we get a stunning trailer like this! I'm so hyped for Unreal Redux. It looks like the game is treated with the respect it deserves and still has the soul of the original release.

This year I will start working on SkyCave, SkyTown and SkyBase my goal is to merge all three levels to one giant sky level like I did with the ISV Kran :)

This is perfect. It's faithful to the original, with that simple and blocky appearance, but with better graphics and textures.
All the power of the magical Unreal lighting and atmosphere is there too.
I like the weapon effects, being colourful and detailed, but still sober.
Maybe some colors are a bit oversaturated but hey, this thing you're doing is a blessing for all Unreal fans, still appreciating the series almost 24 years later.

Boy, you have no idea how happy I am. Together with Gary Afterlife, you managed to capture the right balance that conveys the original spirit of the game in a new way.
I'm looking forward to Redux. And it doesn't matter, 1 year, 2 doesn't matter. I will definitely play it when it comes out.
One of the best videogames of all time. You can't imagine how i feel, seeing this... I have waited for decades for Epic to do a remaster, but even if they did, i doubt it would reach the quality level that you're presenting here. Brilliant work! (I hope someone will make VR mod for this as well, just like they did with the other classic games - Quake, HL, Doom etc)
I tuned in for a lot of your livestreams just to see how you're progressing with the project. I have to say, this will be a true Unreal fan project. Even though you recreate the levels, you still manage to grasp that original atmosphere, that original feel what made Unreal what it is today. I love your work and passion for this project. Keep up the good work!

I can't wait to see Na Pali Haven reduxxed. This is easily my most favorite part of the game. Also I went through your Twitter feed and I gotta thank you for recognition :) It was me who wrote that Unreal review for Hardcore Gaming 101, complete with mentioning your project, Delacroix's Unreal PSX rework and the U227 patch. It's normal for HG101 articles to contain various trivia about the game or info on fan works - mods, translations and similar projects included. It took me a freakin' year to write the final draft of this text.
Ich glaube vor 2 Jahren war ich mal in einem Stream von dir dabei. Das Projekt scheint ein größeres zu sein, das Ergebnis ist jedoch der Wahnsinn!! Unreal war mein erster PC Ego Shooter damals noch aus der Bravo Screenfun, es lief so unfassbar schlecht auf meinem 166 mhz Rechner aber es hat trotzdem soviel Spaß gemacht. Ich freue mich darauf bald noch eine Ehrenrunde drehen zu dürfen!! Alles Gute für 2022!!

Just want to say Krull0r that this version of the game you are making looks fantastic as you are updating the visuals using UE1 and combing it with the 227 patch but most important of all you are keeping the atmosphere and original feel of the game intact which is no small feat. I can't wait to play it!

OMG! It took me a few replays to even notice some shots use non-S3TC textures, that's how quality beats the (texel) quantity! Also very satisfying to see it all runs on the stock engine, while all the other games' facelifts (usually way more simple ones too) always rely on the engine swaps.
All video material I captured used the original Unreal Textures no HD textures are involved :)
Except the skybox mountains.
I decided to make the HD version of the skybox textures the default backdrop.
