@@CHIRAQSAVAG3This depends on how deep you make the epoxy though. Heat guns are used to pop the bubbles inside the epoxy. If its just a very thin layer that wouldnt have bubbles then cold or hot setting wouldnt really matter.
@AndrewLeeW1 heat torch always matters thin or think on all epoxy if you want a smooth finish and want it done the first without going back to sand and buff 😉
@@CHIRAQSAVAG3you can absolutely apply heat to epoxy. Unless you hold a flame to it until it smokes, you will be totally fine. It just thins the material temporarily.
Can I ask how this has actually held up? Looking for a short term solution for my toddler/guest bathroomuntil I decide what vanity I actually want 😅 Just wondering if this will actually hold up for a bit.
Hi Faith, I'm sorry the links are broken. The RUclips short descriptions are still a little wonky. check out the full length video. all of the links are in the description and should be working.
Wait can I just put a couple coats of epoxy over my current countertops instead of actually painting them? We like the finish bc they are white with little speckles of color so I think epoxy should just give us that nicer finish right? Right now ours are getting really rough to the touch from cleaning them over and over
That's my question as well. I am looking to change my black with Grey speckled tile countertop to a white or lite Grey. NEED something cost effective. My countertops are in perfect condition, just can't stand the dark color. Good luck with yours.
Can you do this on granite counters? Granite sucks, I bought a brand new house and it came with granite countertops. They're dull, they stain... not happy. Want to change but tight on budget.
Paint fades and it leaves Scratches. You could had made them out of plywood but square edge and use Wilsonart are Formica laminate. It’s a pain the ass removing Ctops and pricy but long run it’s worth it.
I love my new house that we moved into about 2 years ago now, BUT I’ll tell ya what… I am SO OVER the gray marbling countertops🤮I know that may be “in” right now for kitchen upgrades, but once you have gray marble countertops you’re stuck with that color hue. Everything eventually looks ALL GRAY, especially with stainless steal everything🤦♀️🤦♀️The gray gets old and boring real FAST👎🏻
Love the trolls that think they know everything and can’t scroll without saying something negative. Move on. 1 upping is immature. Stay trashy. This countertop do over is classy.
They will yellow, get scratches and everything that you set on the counter will transfer. These are terrible countertops and they don't look good either.
Sold! I’ve been watching DIY videos to cover up the same type of countertops. This is the best option I’ve seen!
i wanna do my bathroom countertop but im scared loolol
Me too
I remodel kitchens and bathrooms for a living. You did a phenomenal job sister good on you for that 1
Thank you!!
You can also splatter some color onto the countertop, then using a blow dryer move the paint around to get a natural streak pattern
Yeah on cold setting , never want to speed the curing process with heat but it does make cool designs

@utubesuxalotofazz I heat til for about 10 seconds each area gives it a great gloss and get all the air bubbles as well I don't getting too hot
I found a spray paint that does a great marble veining effect for like $6 at my local home depot.
What's the name?
What’s it called
I’m going to do this to a rental I’m about to start on. This is very budget friendly 👍🏾👍🏾

What material the countertop made of??
Hi can you do this on a tiled countertop?
That's my question as well. I am looking to change my black with Grey speckled tile countertop to a white or lite Grey. NEED something cost effective. My countertops are in perfect condition, just can't stand the dark color. Good luck with yours.
Looking for the countertop tutorial pls
Love
Did they yellow or stain after a few months? I've read that happens
Update?
What about the back splash
I did this and my husvand spilled this stuff for a toithache on it. Now i have anpinkish dpot on it. Anyone know how to getvthe stain out?
I totally want to do this my only issue is using epoxy while having a cat.😂
What kind of roller did you use for paint and epoxy? I’ve been stressing myself out trying to figure out the best rollers to use before I jump into it
I used what came in the kit! Check out my full length video for all the details!
Used this same one, a year later it peels and withers away where water is common. Even with 3 coats of topcoat applied.
Probably works better if you apply a clear coat of sealant
How do they look a year later? Yellow or no?
Comment puis-je commander ces produits etlivrez vous en France merci
🎉what paint color did you use for the cabinets?
It's Sparkling Sage by Valspar. I recommend the color but not that paint!
what's the color of your cabinets below the counter?
It’s sparkling sage by valspar!
After a while it doesn't pael of?
Which country are you?
What’s your kit? And how do we buy it?

Which epoxy did you use for the finish?
I bought a kit of amazon that had everything. It's called the Giani refinishing
Can you do this on granite counters? Granite sucks, I bought a brand new house and it came with granite countertops. They're dull, they stain... not happy. Want to change but tight on budget.
Yes! I’ve seen it gone on granite and it looked great! I have some orange granite that I am considering doing this on!
@@flippinggorgeous thank you!!! 😊
You're an idiot if you paint granite.
You can polish granite back to a shine.
They look great but doesn't epoxy yellow after a year or so?
It’s been nearly 3 years now and They haven’t yellowed
Was the original counter top formica?
It's a laminate but this would work on formica as well
Awesome look for this treatment...... next project try concrete countertops!!!
I've been thinking about trying the concrete countertops on my outdoor kitchenette
@Flipping Gorgeous definitely do it..... try glass aggregate to increase the wow
One year later, how does it look??
Ouch The Ban saw Is 1600 TPM and moving from 5 to 7 at 30 thousand Feet TV 16 MT in
Whats the kit please?
It's the Giani Epoxy Kit. Available on Amazon
Howvhave they held up?
They've held up great!
I'm scared to do the veins
I totally get that! It was the most intimidating to me too! I have full lenght video on my channel that will hopefully help you!

Will only last 2 years max before it needs repair
How does it hold up through time?
If you use marine epoxy it will last better otherwise it may turn yellow in about a year
I did this a year ago and some areas are already yellowing. Disappointing.
What is the kit called??
yes plz
Did it smell toxic? That is what i worry about
You had same counter as mine. Now I’m convinced to do mine too. Can’t afford costly marble of cork counter top.
Yours came so beautiful!
future wife 😁
It looks beautiful but you really should be wearing a mask. Those fumes are not good
Please where PPE when using any epoxy. It’s extremely cancerous. Even if you can’t feel or smell it, the particles are still in the air.
It’s marble!
You really need to wear proper PPE when working with epoxy.
I would love to redo my worn formica countertops. They were probably made in the 1970s and are brown. Gosh they are so ugly. 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
500 dollars are too expensive. Your countertop will turn yellow very soon. Don't do white epoxy.
ouch

$500 to expensive for me; other recommendations?
That kit is $199 on Amazon. Maybe she meant that was her total budget for therefore kitchen
Adhesive counter wraps?
For 500 bucks couldn’t you have replaced that small amount of counter?
the entire kitchen was $500!
@@flippinggorgeous oh!!! Got it!!!
