Dave will be gutted - we were a garage band that suddenly landed a recording contract and had a week to record and produce our album (which we managed thanks to the awesome John Rivers who also produced ‘Ghost Town’ for the Specials. Our music was raw and edgy but was good enough to secure a recording contract and for this tune to have attracted 10k listens in spite of the terrible vocals but thanks for your critique - each t9 their own. BTW, DJ Shadow bought my guitar intro to City Rises (same album) back in 2011 (nearly 30 years after we recorded it) and used it on his own song ‘Warning Call’ - not bad for a small indie garage band from the 1980’s…
@saigon8835 Always thought the vocals were great, as are the tunes and john rivers' production. Still play both releases a lot. The only terrible thing is they didn't continue.
