Not gonna lie this is the best beginner ai tutorial!!! I was so confused until i watched this video. Everyone else starts firing off terms without explaining exactly what is what. This helped me finna understand the difference between models, ui, plugins, loras, checkpoints. Nobody else explains it right!
This is the perfect guide for any level on StableDiffusion it really links the dots between what you think to understand and the reality. I see that I was missing very important vocabulary to understand the whole picture
19 likes (mine included) for this video ! I expect 20k or 30k. I've seen several hundred of YT video AI generating image, and this one is, by far, the most completed, simple and informative. Congrats !
I just think it as modding minecraft terms: a. Autoamtic1111 and other UI's = minecraft launchers, its not the game, its just a thing that organize and fetch the data... a door that can be put on a wall without breaking the wall and you now can enter the wall thru that door. b. Models = Mods, content of the game... a building without any entrance. c.Extension = plugins, api file required by some mods... might need some furniture inside the building. but of course I still doesn't understand fully... Especially LoRa part... and when people ask "what version of SD are you using?" and you guys (the SD guru) point out the launchers (UI) that what confuse me at first...
Good analogy, as for what version you are using I think they are think it it like a software not think like at a stable diffusion model, they are thinking at a thing that can download and install. If i say sdxl they can find a model and look at it, but usually if i say comfyui or automatic all explain installation including a model so maybe from that it comes the confusion. Also I use it for a while but I don't understand all the technical stuff that happens behind and i am interested only to have an idea of how it work, so i can use it. Like a car, i need to know how to drive it and i am not necessarily interested how to build that engine. Though i am learning more than i thought of what happens now since i am learning comfyui :))
This deserves so many more views, it's a Gospel.
