Epson Printer Error (Wi-Fi error occurred. Contact Epson Support) FIX!!

I had been consistently experiencing the Epson Printer Error which resulted in a Wi-Fi connection problem..
My temporary solution for this was to unplug the power cord from the back of the printer for 60 seconds. After plugging the cord back in and powering up the printer, the Wi-Fi connection would usually be restored (sometimes it took repeating this process 2-3 times to restore my wi-fi connection)
Unfortunately, the error would always reoccur the following day. This went on for about a week before I was growing tired of having do this daily! I was determined to find a permanent solution to this Epson Wi-Fi connection issue. This information in this video is what fixed this wi-fi connection issue for me once & for all!
If you’re experiencing this same issue give this a shot.. not going to guarantee it will be a permanent fix for you but in my case it fixed this issue!

Here’s what worked for my Epson ET-2850:
The error was not letting me access the "Wi-Fi Setup" menu. I had to restart the printer.
(1) Restart the printer (I left if off for 5 minutes and took the power cable off both ends).
(2) As soon as you see the home screen scroll to the right and select “Wi-Fi Setup”. You can also go to Settings - Network Settings - Wi-Fi Setup.
(3) Select “Wi-Fi (Recommended)”.
(4) Press OK to proceed.
(5) Select “Others”.
(6) Select “Disable Wi-Fi” and confirm your selection.
(7) Switch off the printer (for a couple of minutes) and back on.
I hope this helps someone out there.

fixed my friend's unit with this issue. unit in time locked up. display wouldn't do anything. epson sent me a replacement unit.

I did the "Reset all data and settings" / back to factory defaults option and then reinstalled drivers & apps. That finally worked. Didn't try the reset network settings variation. If it happens again, I'll try the reset networks settings option. My printer is the Epson ET-3850.

I have had the same problem recently. I believe it is due to our main router being an 'advanced' router with 2.5G and 5G under the same SSID. Connecting to another router using 2.5G worked flawlessly. Frustrating problem. Printers are still so primitive! lol
