I agree! Im a girl that likes it quiet in the mountains. I grew up that way as well. ❤️ He will fall in love with it soon. It's the simple things like the tree limbs blowing in the wind and the animals running through the woods etc...it's just a sense of peace. 🌻🌳🍁🍂
That’s true, thank you! 🍁❤️💕
Thanks for letting me ride along this morning. Even though we've never met I'm really happy for you two. There's just so much bad news out there but y'all are a breath of fresh air. Much needed.
Awe thank you, God bless! 🙏🥰
Corie, I sure enjoyed this video. Things are moving along in such a positive way for you both. My opinion shouldn't matter either way but, as an old grandpa, I sure do like Austin. He seems to be an awfully nice fella. I'll continue to pray for you both and your families. God bless you in all you do.
Thank you so much! God has been so so good to us. He gives us more than we could ever deserve! And I am pretty tickled with him too!
The red cabinets are a compliment to green on the color wheel..... that is why they "look pretty good" to you now, since you used green paint ! My wall color is very close to yours and I have many burgundy, and pops of reds that go along with my greens. My house has lots of nature and botanicals. Little punkins on the mantle right now, though! Can't wait to see your house update. Glad things are moving along!
Wow, I didn’t know that! Thanks for watching! 🙏🥰
Oh, wow! I was so shocked to see our old stomping grounds during your drive! I cried when I saw the big cow - we have stopped there for ice cream and milk on our way to and from Gainesville. It brought back SO many wonderful memories to ride along with you today! Austin seems so sweet, and it touched my heart to hear him speak so kindly about his mom and dad. Such a treasure to see young people love their parents and be so respectful. I hope you two always stay as sweet as you are, and may God bless you with many wonderful years together! Thank you for sharing this - I had no idea I would see places that would move me so much. When I heard you say "Cleveland," I was like, "Cleveland, GA?" This was so special to me.
Awe, I’m so glad you liked the video and it brought back good memories, I love that big cow but have never actually had ice cream there. It’s a nice drive. I am so lucky, Austin is just the best! 💕🥰
Warms my heart to know that there are still parents that rear decent young men. You are blessed to find such a nice young man that's not lazy and still thinks the world of his parents. That means a lot!
Good hearing from Austin and hearing y’all’s dreams for the future plans for your home. Good conversation and funny out takes at the end.😆 Thank y’all for sharing!
Thanks for watching! 🥰
Lovely drive. I really like the red cabinets in your home. They compliment the other wood in the house. I hope you keep them red for now. Glad y’all are going places together. That’s really special time together. 🙏🏼❣️♥️❣️🙏🏼
Thank you! 🥰
Girl, you're just the cutest thing! Such a sweetheart. I could listen to you talk all day long. You have been blessed with a soft and sweet voice. You seem like a good match for each other, and I have no doubt you will have a happy life together. Blessings...
Thank you so much! 🥰🙏
I LOVED the bloopers at the end! It is just so fun to see the silly goofy side of everybody! :)
Thank you, we are pretty goofy! 🥰
I can relate, Corey, I am from the big city but, I’ve never though have lived in the big city. I think it’s great your taking your time to work on your house first and, making sure things are done the way you want first and, making sure, everything is set up before you get into wedding and marriage details, that’ll give you more time to focus on it rather than stress out on so many things at once. May God continue to bless you both!
Hey Cori and Austin. You just came over Blood mountain. I live in Hiawassee Ga now and when I have to go that way when I go back to my hometown of Lagrange Georgia.
Wow I always look for the big cow too!
I know you guys are going to be happy. You are doing things the right way. I'm so happy for you guys and I pray that Austin will get used to the country life. It's so much better than living in the rat race.
Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Thank you! Yes that Mountain is never fun!
Agree with you and Austin on Burger King, Corie! That bit with the giant cow reminded me of when I was a kid and my dad took the family to an amusement park called Euclid Beach each summer. We knew we were almost there when we saw an ice cream stand whose architecture featured an upside-down cone that doubled as a tepee.
That sounds like a cool ice cream stand! Thanks for sharing and watching! 🙏🥰
Lovely video you guys. Your trees and mountains remind me of the lower mainland of British Columbia. Very similar. We're already down to 45 at night here. Still looks warm in your area. Have a great day. 💜
I hope to visit British Columbia someday, thanks for watching! 🥰
@@thepressleygirls I'm out in the Fraser Valley away from the city and I love the rural life as well. 😁
I like the roads that a squirrel don’t have to go to ground to cross.
Yes, those are the best roads!
Nice ride, thanks for taking us along with you! You two seem very compatible and I predict for you a long happy life together!
Thank you! 💕🥰
You are SUCH an Adorable Couple.
🙏🥰
Been to the Cabbage Patch at Babyland General Hospital, in Cleveland, Ga. many times . We haven't been since it moved to its new location. My grandparents took me as a child and my father took my kids. We have a doll that was "born" while we were there and he's named for my son.. birth certificate and all..
That’s so sweet! I wish I still had mine!
Great video. 🙏😊
If you have only one kind of blueberry bush, try to get another kind that's compatible (a gardening center and good ol' Google can help). Having more than one type will increase your yield of blueberries.
That was so good, funny and sweet, thanking you both fo sharing 👏❤️🏴🇬🇧
You guys are such a sweet couple. I didn’t,t say in your other videos, but I really love the red cabinets. Fertilizes your blueberries this fall with fertilizer for azaleas, it works great, I have blueberry bushes it works better than anything. You will have bigger and sweeter berries. Home Depot has it.
Yesterday was our 32nd anniversary for my Bride from DaBronx and me from farm country. We settled in our house in the woods (can't see the house from the road nor the road from our house) twenty seven years ago, and she has never regretted our life in the country. May you great folks always fair well together away from the craziness of the cities that you can visit whenever you want, then run for your lives back to rural sanity!
Thank you, and Happy Anniversary! 🥰
The little shop is the Blood Mnt. hiking outpost. I was up there a few weeks ago in my motorcycle.
Enjoyed thanks
🙏🥰
Good luck love your story
Thank you!
Wish you both all the best!
Thank you! 🥰
Hi Corie. It was nice traveling along with you and Austin. The best to you in the future. You know you and yours have someone here in N.H., that feels like part of your family. Blessings. Rick
Road trip…fun times!!😊
🙏🥰
You guys did well
Been watching you
I don't know why but it's cute to see a small town woman who has never really been on a big highway. I remember when I first met my wife. She had never really drove on a big highway.. She was a home body as well
Wahoo
ya all need to come more often over to vogel, walasy center unicoi and helen.
All of you guys are good people I had no idea that we could send stuff. I would've love to have sent something. You are all decent family
Hello everyone
Im like her. I grew up in the back woods of the Ouachitas and city noise keeps me.
I guess I'm creature of habit im now living in the backwoods of the Ozarks. I guess hill folk are hill folk.
A Pepsi Machine?? I am chartreuse with envy. BTW, if you & Austin ever have kiddos, they are guaranteed to be cute.
Thank you! 🥰
🥰
💖🙏🏻💙=♥️😊
Im watching..and chewing my arm off
Thanks guys! House is awesome! KATIE YOU NEED TO SHAVE, IM SORRY!
Thank you, and that’s a good one! 😂
I had cabbage patch! Trudy Rochelle.
😂🙏❤️
It is strange seeing a Covan truck. I worked for Covan for 12 years.
😂
He's my. Uddy
Since you and Austin have moved in together what's Katie going to do? Have you girls really ever been separated? Love you and your family.
We have never been separated, so it will be hard probably!
You kids look like your very happy, just go ahead and pull the trigger on a date we want to see a wedding . Lol
Buddy
Nice little drive but you folks don't have much color in the forest, right now our forests are all full of colors it real pretty, corie like to ask Austin if he is a green bay packers fan with that big g on his shirt, I think that is cool, so corie how your new driver doing or you like your old driver back which is better looking. Drive safe and stay close to jesus.
I would guess it stands for Georgia
In north Alabama you smell skunk every now and then, but when I go to Tennessee I smell it everytime. I tell my folks there y'all are the skunk capital of the south. 😋
Do you guys believe in Sasquatch? Have you heard any neat stories?
Well I’ve heard lots of stories about him, not sure if I’m convinced though 😂
Are you getting chickens 🐔
We probably won’t have room for them sadly!
Corie, sweetheart, I can relate to my Momma talking about the empty room that I was making for her when I got married. After my wedding, we went back to my bedroom to change into my honeymoon outfit. On the way out, I grabbed my bed pillow that I'd used for years and years. When we got back from the honeymoon, Momma said, "What you plan on doing with that pillow you took?" I said "MOMMA?" She reached out and hugged me.....saying she was just kidding....😊
I miss my Momma. She went to be with the Lord in 1993.
🙏🥰
He is lucky to have such a nice partner!
Thank you! 🥰
@@thepressleygirls your welcome my sister!
:-)
You are about the calmest, laid back girl, ever. Hope you stay that way. The roads you were first on; are pretty much the same as what we have in my part of PA; windy, country, township roads. With farms and forest; with plenty of Deer, and turkey to keep you awake.
Thank you! Yes the deer and turkey here are bad, but I love seeing them 🥰
Corie, the place you visited while in college is Walasi-yi at Neel Gap. The building was constructed by the CCC in the mid 30s. It now houses Mountain Crossings and offers gear, resupply, showers and a hostel for hikers. It is located approximately 30 miles from the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail on Springer Mtn. Thanks for the tour and the update!
Yes, that’s what that place was called. Thank you for sharing and watching! 🥰
I LOVED the red cabinets!! I also love the red heater and the fact that you have gas appliances. If you keep the gas in the end, you'll find that cooking on a gas stove is SOOOO much better than on an electric stove.
Honey. Your mom loves you & she is just adjusting you both to the changes. But look where & what you are going to. Marriage to a great guy. I just know you will b happy. Breathe. I can just smell the green. You& Katie have the most beautiful complexion. 💕
🙏🥰
Austin you will get used to the quiet in no time, when I was a teen my parents lived across the street from an emergancy room. I get used to that and then they built a house in the country. The first night was so dark and quiet and then a fox screamed. My mom and I met in the hallway because it sounded like a woman screaming in the woods. Very scary but I got used to the total darkness and quiet.
Wow that would be a hard change, and that Fox would have scared me!
Run a fan in your bedroom. Trust me, it will help.
First time I heard a fox scream I grabbed my 12 gauge and headed out the front my wife said what’s that I said a pterodactyl I think scared the hell outta me
That is a good idea to run a fan for the 'white noise' - but put it on a timer so it will automatically turn off - way past you falling asleep. No big electric bill from running something all night when you don't need too. ; )
Car sick, you might need to get a some meds. I've heard some people say chewing gum helps them with motion sickness. Take care, God bless.
Thank you!
Just tell austin....hes banned from the guitar...and im happy...he needs to take up poetry instead.. kidding..enjoy life
A two story trailer with a deck and indoor plummon! Wish,I could visit y’all at your new trailer park. Sorry, I couldn’t give, more than the box of government cheese, had to take the welfare check to bail my wife outta jail.
Loved listening I'm so happy for ya'll. ❤
🙏🥰
Congratulations and thanks for a wonderful video this morning. God bless the country life.
Thanks so much for sharing your lives with us! Corie I love how you have such a huge smile on your face when you are with your guy! So cute! You make a great couple. God bless.💖
Thank you, God bless you! 🙏🥰
Thank you for for sharing. You all are sweet
What a lovely video to start my day. You guys remind me of my husband and I. I can feel all the feels of when we first met and I moved from another country to the United States. Be Blessed On Your Journey Together.
Hey thank you so much! 🙏🙏
Thanks for bringing us along on the ride. It was great, even with the rain and clouds. Y’all have a great week! Much love from SC, Jane❤️🙏🏻 what a sweet pup! What does Austin do for his work?
Thank you! He works for a refractory company doing sales for the South East! 🥰
Corie, I'm laying here in bed tonight just trying to chill out a little before going to sleep after a stressful day and I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed this video with you and your soon to be husband and the one that I watched right before this one where you girls were showing us your vintage clothing. You 3 calmed my nerves down tonight and I just want to thank yuns. Much love.
So glad we calmed your nerves. Thank you for watching and God bless!
I enjoyed the ride with you and Austin' thank you for sharing . God bless y'all.
Thanks for watching 😁
Love the scenery an eat ginger half hr before a trip an you be fine . Austin needs some wiper blades for that chevy , as for drivin i usually do a helluva lot more then 8 to 10 as usually if i headed south i do near 24 hrs strait with maybe 3 or 4 20minute naps in that whole time . Just came back from 1 trip an will do another in a little over 2 wks time an few more to do within next coupla months .
Oh my goodness! You are dedicated for sure! I can’t stay in a car that long 😂😂 and I’ll try the ginger thing!
@@thepressleygirls a little addicted to drivin i is . Whilst travelling see if you can get some ginger beer ( the non alco type ) an drink that as it will hit ya innards alot quicker plus it refreshing if it cold . Oh an austin enjoy the quiet now as when the pitter patter of tiny feet start running around you be wishin for the quiet days lol .
Think about this ..... in old-times people went into an area and cut down trees and built their home.... sometimes it took 5 years or more to build ...... LMBO .....think about that one.... LOL ... .and it took them 2 months in a wagon to go where y'all are going in half-day .... as for weddings people used to go across street to J.P. 3 days after they met ....LOL.... y'all doing it backwards..... got a house in 3 months and taking 4 years to get married .....LOL .... great fun
It is funny yes to think about the time frame of how it used to be done! Thank you!
Nice drive.
So happy I came across your channel through your mother's celebrating Appalachia I honestly appreciate you guys♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🌱👩🌾🇵🇷🌻🌾 much love from California
Thank you! 🥰
Sweety and me live in a small town. Not small enough as far as im concerned. Tried to get her to move to the country right after we were married, thats when i saw the light as to who was boss in this union. It took a minute but i got used to town life somewhat..kinda..a little. Anyway just remember its a give n take kinda thing one step TOGETHER at a time. Good luck God bless. Love you.
That’s true, thank you! :)
My Husband Eddie, I use to live in Flowery Branch, Georgia for 25 years. Really close to Buford, Ga.
Cool!
I believe the Cabbage Patch doll Kraze began around 1983, not real sure. I remember the news showing people fighting over them in the stores. They each came with their name tag too. Yolanda Cynthie was the name of my daughters first one😳. Where in the world do they find these names? No, I never purchased one and yes I still have 4 in a bedroom closet!!!😂 Y'all have fun and be careful on those roads!
Oh wow, I didn’t realize that! I wish I still had mine! 😂🥰
I loved watching your video, especially the roads and the mountains. My family is from Nantahala and I live in Georgia. I haven't been in North Carolina in over 20 years and I wish I could go but I have anxiety issues and can't do cars much.
Yes, cars give me anxiety too sometimes, I feel your pain!
Corie I get car sick too I live off hwy 68 going to Tellico Plains when I go to Murphy I have to drive to keep from getting sick .Thanks for taking us with you on your trip to Ga I've been on that road it a beautiful drive. I took my daughter to the cabbage patch hospital the old one and the new one my daughter Olivia is 23 and she still has her dolls.
Yes, that’s a curvy drive too! I wish I still had mine. Thanks for watching!
The Babyland General was precious when it was in the old clinic, but in the new building outside of town it has lost its charm. Y’all need to just elope and get married! Don’t waste money on a wedding. I don’t understand why you aren’t in a hurry to go ahead get married and move into your new house!
Good point, thanks for watching!
Beautiful scenery, guys. I miss it so much. East is home, NC to be specific, but family moved out west here and I'm like a duck out of water without the four seasons, trees, forests, So I thank you two for the ride.
Thanks for watching! 🥰
In a past posting Corie unpacked an angel with a blue robe for a nativity set. I wanted to let you know that I have one just like it.I bought it for my mother at Christmas in rhe mid 1960s at Kresges dime store
That’s so neat, I love mine it’s so sweet!
Yes on Cabbage Patch Hospital 😁
It was such a fun place as a kid, glad I’m not the only one! 🥰
Hey, I really enjoyed watching your video. It brought back some fond memories of when I was 16 yrs.old, working with two of my uncle's, laying rock on houses. We did 3 between Blood Mtn. and Cleveland. The first one you turn right at the bottom of the Mtn., somewhere close to that campground on Boggs Creek. The second one on the left just as you come into Cleveland. The third one was before you get to Cleveland you turn right and go to Jenny's Cove. I was raised in the foothills on the GA. side, about 10 miles from NC and about 10 miles from TN, and I always enjoy going farther into the mountains. I started learning about your family watching your mother's videos, and later started receiving videos of you and Katie. Katie might find it interesting to hear about my daddy's fiddles. The one he left to my sister was a wartime fiddle, made in German US Zone. The one he left to me has a sticker inside that says Strativarias, which reminds me of Katie saying that the one her friend left her says the same thing. I'm not sure if I spelled it right, but maybe that's close enough. Sorry to be so long winded just to thank you for your video, but it brought up a lot of things I wanted to share. Thanks to your whole family for the videos. They remind me that there are still some real people left in the world.
Thank for your sharing! I’m so glad I could bring back good memories, those fiddles sound really nice!
Love it when you film the scenery ♥️👍🏼thank you for that
Thanks for watching!
Also my advice to you all for your wedding, keep it as simple as possible, it saves stress on your relationship as well as your families. A huge pot luck is the best for reception. I wish y'all the best!
Yes that’s what I am thinking! 🥰
My daughter had a small wedding a month ago with just parents and grandparents and brother and sister. Total less than 20. But she did a Facebook live for her hundreds of family and friends. We decorated 4 tables but did it with a big wedding feel. She said it was so much less stressful and an absolutely perfect day.
Corey and Austin, greetings from Blairsville!😀

Enjoyed your little trip! Very fun! Got to know Austin more. Y'all are very well matched. God bless! ❤️❤️
Thank you, God bless you! 💕
You struck gold when you met Austin & he struck gold with you. What a beautiful couple you are!
It's good that Austin is situated in the house now & he can continue working on stuff. Yes, hopefully his parents will move closer to y'all.
Blessings to you two. In every marriage, there are three...husband, wife, & Jesus. One of the purposes of marriage, besides companionship & children, is to help each other get to heaven. 💕
Oh gosh, Cabbage Patch dolls! In 1983 when I was working at a big store, in my early twenties
in Virginia, that was the Christmas season where EVERYbody had to buy a doll. It almost was riot causing!
I like landmarks like that big cow.
💗
Thank you, you’re too sweet! I am very lucky to have Austin, he’s such a good guy. I wish I still had my cabbage patch doll! 💕🥰
An interesting, enjoyable and informative combination of new house status, future plans, and general conversation between soon-to-be-weds Corie and Austin. Your excitement about what's happening in your lives is not only evident, but contagious as well.
Glad to see you reaching new goals. Exciting life changes. Wish you happy memories.
Thank you!
What road are guys on? Looks so familiar ....
It’s mostly 129 until you hit Gainesville 🤠
Just beautiful. Thank you so much.
Thanks for watching!
Just take y'alls time now. Stay positive
🙏🥰
Great trip. Enjoy the dog sittin’.
Thank you!
Thank You for Sharing
Thanks for watching!
Flag poles are always nice. Just an idea, I dont remember seeing one in the other videos. And yes growing food anyplace you can is great.
Yes, we want to get a flag for the yard for sure!
@@thepressleygirls good!!
Love the red cabinets,im doin mine in red now,and my walls sage green..love your home ,can't wait to see the finish🧡💖💜💛❤💚💙
Thank you! 💕
You guys are great together! Take it from an old person, don't feel pressured to get married. I was, and it didn't last past eight years. The second time around, a new woman and we took it very slow, despite all the "You guys need to get married" crowd. This time is yours, don't be intimidated by what others want you to do. You will both know when the time is right.
