Living vicariously through this because I was stuck doing overtime yesterday and couldn't get out to do the event at ALL. I managed to some Suicune but not during event hours.
did 79 researchs while traveling in a bus and got 7 shinies and 1 hundo. shinie are 3 tailow 3 dodouo 1 hoothoot ad hundo spearow

I also chose rufflet as I was hoping to snag a Hundo from the event. I really enjoy this approach to the research events instead of being just a single pokemon.

Shundo rufflet I got which is second 4* of the season and the other 4* this season is a shundo blitzle from last research day (I am a daily player btw)
I’m so mad because I got 2 hundos but of course I couldn’t get the shundo. 1/10 chance of a shundo twice and i couldn’t get it, so dumb I’m never gonna get one 😭

Only got to do an hour . About 20 or so research. Got 3 shiny rufflet, 3 shiny taillow, shiny spearow, and a shiny porygon from daily incense !
Did two hours and got 6. I still need TAILLOW!!!
I also went for the shundo rufflet. I only played 2 hours caught 7 shinies, nothing new or great iv wise. Great video as always🎉
Love these events! 150 researches done and got 12 shinies. The shiny hoothoot eluded me however.
I’m glad events like this are recognizing that some players want to hunt multiple shinies and hundo/Shundos. I was unable to play but I’m going to make an effort next time based on the comments about this event.
Every time it’s a “one in ten” chance of being shiny I get the worst luck I do 30+ raids combined each raid day and only get 0 or 1 shinys and I did 90 researches for the research day and only got 3😭😭😭

Oddly enough we had the same odds 9/150 with me choosing the hoothoot path with no shinies in 37 checks
It's crazy that we both got 96% shiny tailow's. I evolved mine into swellow too. I got a rufflet with 2 min left in the event. It was the very last research I could do. I had one already but needed one more for the family. I'd say I did between 100 and 150 tasks. My shiny count was 9 as well.
17 shinies on saturday. One of them was before the event started. That was grimmer. During the event I got onix, lickitung, machop and nincada in the wild. I also got wild shiny pidgey and wingull, which was technically part of the event. And from researches I got shiny doduo, ttailow, 3 hoothoots and 5 rufflets (one 96 %). And also regular hundo tailow. So, not bad, not bad at all.
I still got one of the event research tasks to do. Does it still have the 1/10 shiny chance?

I liked this event I 6 shines one being a 99 percent shiny hootoot just wondering if I should evolve that and power it up and got 3 shiny rufflets from the research
Didn't get nothing for shinies during the event but as soon as it ended i randomly caught a shiny Electabuzz not even 5 minutes after the event.
I did ok I guess, 4 shinies from research, random purrlion shiny in the wild. I got 2 hoothoot, 1 spearow, and 1 rufflet. All I needed was tailow. I was upset I didn’t get it
I sadly didn't get to do this event because I was stuck at work... these field research events have been popping up far too quick for me to request a day off for them. I would have loved a shiny Doduo or Ruffles (my bf misspelled Rufflet and I thought it was hilarious so I will forever call it Ruffles XD) Also it doesn't feel like 1/10 odds if you only got 9 after 150+ tasks... maybe 1/20... but what do I know :3
I could only play for about an hour, but I was able to get 6 shinies (3 Doduos, 2 Rufflets and a Hoothoot). All of those shinies were new for me :)
I had my best research day luck yet, by far!
I was almost an hour late starting, and quickly lost track of how many research I completed.
16 Shiny caught: 3 Spearow, 2 Doduo, 3 Hoothoot, 3 Taillow, 1 Starly, 4 Rufflet & 1 Shadow Suicune!
Also two hundos, Hoothoot and Doduo.
I waited until the last 15minutes to make a choice for the paid research, at that time I had caught everything except the Spearows, of which I had zeros, and it worked out very well!
So sad I didn't get to participate this adventure. I'm a manager at a local grocery store and....it's mothers day weekend. So sadly my store came 1st. Husband was off and did great 5 shinys 1 each except rufflet and 2 taillows. He rubbed it in when I got home because even running my regular incense and auto catcher a did the 1 lonely pokestop I got nothing during the event. Leaving for the night at 1130pm and a shiny spearow was in the parking lot. Go figure. Thanks JT fir all you do for us viewers.
this research day gave me 6 shinies. i only needed a shiny hoothoot and a spearow to complete the evo lines. this event blessed me with a not just a shiny hoothoot and a spearow, but the shiny spearow was a shundo.
I got 6 Rufflets, 4 Taillows, 2 Doduo, 2 HootHoot, and 2 Spearow. Very happy
I got all five of the shiny variants. Spearow and Doduo were back to back from field research, as was Rufflet a couple of stops later. Hoothoot and Tailow, were from the first part of the timed research. I found a wild Fletchling, shiny. Finally, I special traded one of my shiny Vaporeons for a shiny Poliwag since I missed the community day because of my crappy phone at the time.

I got my 2nd shundo from this research with Rufflet. Got two Taillows and didnt have any going in, had insane luck before the event with a Munna, Ralts and Mankey too. Makes up for Rivals week bad luck
shundo? hundo? shiny? i grinded all of them and only got a spearow, they say these days happen but man was it rough after grinding so hard
Got a spearow, 2 tailow, a doduo, rufflet got a kanto geodude, a poochyena, Lapras, pidove in the wild then a pink sneasel out of a research task

Played for almost 3 hours and got 18 shinies! 2 spearow, 5 doduo, 2 hoothoot, 6 taillow and 3 rufflet. Also a hundo spearow and hundo doduo
I got a shiny Taillow and Hoothoot back to back. I also got a shiny Doduo on my first research.
Able to do just over two hours, and ended with 8. Got at lease one of all 5, but none were good. Love the videos JT.
I didn't really try much but did get two shinies, I don't buy research anymore as they put too much paid research out this year.
Only played a couple hours. Got a couple shiny taillow, shiny hoot hoot and a shiny rufflet. No really good IVs.
Hey JT! I only could play this event for about an hour and a half but I got the shundo rufflet!! My first ever shundo!
18 shiny mons total for this including a pidove, rained all day where I am but the grind doesn’t stop because of the weather.
I just played during one hour and got 1 shiny Doduo, which is the only shiny I didn't have, and 1 shiny Rufflet from the field research. And then I got 4 shiny Doduos from the timed research (3 of them on a row). So it was a really good event for me.
I wasn't gonna play this research day but I needed 1 more shiny female Doduo, so I brought the timed research and on my 2nd encounter I got my 2nd shiny female Doduo and it was my first ever shundo, I'm blown away 😱
This event was great I only played 1hr and 30mins because I forgot about it, and got 4 shinies. I did get the ticket though. Got two rufflets, a hoot hoot, and a doduo.
I also got a Galarian moltres ranked 11 for great league too!

Overall got 8 shiny, with one of them being a shundo Spearow but was bummed I couldn't get a single shiny Taillow after 30+ encounters as well as buying the ticket for Taillow encounters but overall did about 60+, overall it was a solid event though
I had a fantastic event, I found 19 shinies, all targets I had were caught and more!
Also found 2 hundos, 1 HootHoot and 1 Purified Suicune.
Not a bad research day event, got a random wild shiny oddish then at least one shiny from the field researches except a shiny spearow 🎉 including my first shiny rufflet and doduo
I did around 50 researches and got 13 shinies. Was able to finish every family with what I got. Accidentally blended a hundo Tailow unfortunately but otherwise cant complain. Sad that you got kind of skunked
I managed to get 15 shinnies during the event! I got a shundo Rufflet. I got a wild Phanphy, wild Fletching and 2 of each of the featured shinnies.
Did about 30 researches and got 3 shiny spearow, 2 shiny hoothoot, a shiny doduo and a random shiny tentacool. I chose rufflet for my research as that was the only one I didn’t have shiny and could not get one.
7 shinies for me, One was a 96% Spearow... Not a single shiny Tailow though. But the timed research provided three out of the seven.
Played 2.5 hours and got 12 shinies, 2 Spearow, 2 Doduo (Both back 2 back), 3 Hoothoot, 2 Taillow, and 3 Rufflet, one of which was a 98% that was 3 off the hundo.
97 tasks and only 5 shinies. Very similar experience to every research day, always having a 1/20 or 1/50 chance by the end and never actually being on rate.
and i chose hoothoot but it only shined outside the paid research. but got about 4 or 5 shiny rufflets :)
Love the video! Nice luck with all the shinies you got! This event hated me, did over 90 researches and only got 3 boosted shinies. Got 2 rufflet and one hootoot. No good IVs on any of them either. Did get a bunch of other shinies though. Got a pidove, scyther, tepig, gastly and yungoose shiny!
I did like 19 and hot 3 shinies and my friend got 4 with one less encounter than me
and i chose hoothoot and could just get one with sparkles (not in the paid research). but about 6 rufflets shined for me :)

No hundos/shundos but in 2 hours i found 17 research shinys and 3 wild. 8 rufflet shinys which i needed most
Only completed 2 sets of tasks because of work, ended with a shiny Hoothoot. So not bad.
Got about 22 shinies, multiples of each, two hundos, one 98 shiny, and a couple wild shinies
got a shundo doduo. to my surprise it was the first shiny of the ticket so money well spent

Flock together event got a living dex of each shiny bird and a hundo rufflet non shiny. In raid I got my fist shiny legend being tapu fini

I did like 20 tasks couldnt do much. Got a shiny rufflet and tailow and a hundo rufflet

My 3rd shiny of the event was a shundo doduo, did not expect to get a shundo at all
was kinda disappointed because i also took the rufflet path and didn’t get 1 shiny. i got a 98 on the last second research tho and also a wild shiny pinsir to add to my shiny dex
i got 5 shinys 2 shiny hoothoot 1 shiny ruflet 1 shiny tallow and 1 shiny pidove from insense
I got 8 shinies total. 4 within the first 20 minutes of the event and a random eevee from the wild. I was hunting shiny Rufflet and got 3, and 1 hundo(not shiny but 3rd overall hundo). Hope everyone had good luck!
i got my second ever shundo from this event, it was also my first encounter in the paid research ticket!!
Wow. Surprised to say that I actually had better luck than you, friend. One hundo Spearow, but my shinies were the following: XXL shiny Doduo, 2 shiny Rufflets, 2 shiny Tailows, 3 shiny Hoothoots, 3 shiny Spearows, and a 96% shiny Nosepass in the wild afterward. Sorry you didn't get the Rufflet. My son was upset about that, too. He did well, like you, but no shiny Rufflets.

Dude same thing happened to me! Chose rufflet since it was the one I wanted most. Didn't get a single shiny one. But got a bunch of the others as shiny 🤦♂️😆👌

I didn't have really any time to do this, but I managed to do 10 research. No shiny unfortunately, whereas my mom did 4 research and got 2 shinies!
I did all the research tasks I could in my area (45-50) and did not get a single shiny…..and no shinies in the paid timed research either….
I only did 4 research tasks as I was busy that day. out of the 4 I was lucky enough to get 3 shiny 😀
