I have just received my Collier Grande, and I’m absolutely thrilled with it. After it arrived, I spoke with Brian to discuss some features of the pen, and he was very generous with his time, going into depth with his explanations. As a result, I’m even happier with the pen than I was when I first opened the box. The pen carries a hefty price tag, but I think it’s worth every penny. Thanks to Brian and the team for designing and manufacturing such a magnificent pen
YIPPEE! I love the Collier but have always wished it had a thicker section. And now it's here. I love that it is bigger overall as well. I look forward to getting one! Thank you/
The Collier is probably my favorite Edison pen. I have three of them. The new Collier Grande appeals to me instantly and A LOT. However, the price is definitely daunting. My many beloved Sailor Pro Gear pens with their sublime 21k nibs cost the same. I’m no big fan of Jowo nibs. They bore me to death. But I always felt that Edison (and Franklin-Christoph) clearly seem to grind them in interesting ways that make the writing experience nicer than the regulation Jowo nibs on other pens. So, I’m very curious and keen about the new large #8 sized Magna Carta steel nibs. Many thanks, Brian, for this video and everything you do. Edison is an all-American delight. I reckon I will buy the Grande soon enough.

I have one of these in ebonite and I'm very happy with it. I bought it mainly to show support for bringing more #8 nibs to market, and more nibs that aren't Bock or Jowo. But it's just a very nice writer, very comfortable to write with for long sessions.
Congrats on the new exciting design launch and nib supply! 7% makes a big 'ahem' difference especially as hands get older or arthritic. Filling: assume Schmidt K5 and/or eyedropper like Jowo Collier? As for section narrows, 11.7 mm is above a Sailor Pro Gear, which is mighty comfortable but lower than Conid (12.4 mm) or Pilot CU (12.9 mm). Will definitely handle a Collier Grande, if permitted at a live pen show 😍(hint: please bring 'em) Enjoy a well-deserved vacation.
Thanks! And yes, the converters that we use are K5's. If you'd like to see our pen show schedule to see one live, we have that listed on our site. But pen shows for the rest of this year is San Francisco and Ohio.
Absolutely well done Brian a superb pen and I’m really Chuft you went with an ebonite feed, plastic is okay but ebonite is so superior regarding capillary flow, ask Nathan Tardif. What a great help for arthritic hands as well. Collier with a pneumatic filler hmmmm Aaauuugghhhhhhh ! 😵💫 I need some money it will cost 325 £ here do the conversion to dollars yourself plus the pneumatic filler system ££ if you’ll do it… hmmm I think I’ll contact my friend for the money Dick but he’s always out on the road… his last name is Turpin🤣 It’s a crackin pen Brian. I suspect the Edison logo was not engraved on the nib, it needs it. Well done the nib techs that worked with you developing the nib that was a brilliant thing and if Richard likes it, well, that’ll do for me. 💯x💯 💎 👍 🪓🪓🪓 💙 Best wishes to all pen people
@@breadyegg Haha! Won't be too long of a tease, however. I'm hoping to have this announced later this week if I'm lucky, but certainly next week if not. :)
This is a great looking pen. Proportions are perfect!... But can I order it with a thicker section - maybe remove taper?? Please? Pretty please? Section size is exactly why I like oversize grande pens! I love the number 8 plain nib. Not scrolls. No engraving. Perfect.
An altered section is possible, but unlikely right now. Honestly, I've been kind of overwhelmed with getting this pen engineered and launched, and then we're taking tons of orders already. So it will be very unlikely that I'll have time for "from-scratch" re-designs right now. I'm going to be taking a vacation in late June. When I return from that vacation that's when I can probably tackle more details regarding customizations on this pen. So late June or early July would be a good time to inquire about this when some of the dust settles from this initial launch. Thanks!
Super excited for these nibs!
Well Done, Magna Carta...👍👏👏👏

GREAT! You are becoming Pilot pens competition!
That does it!
I'm buying one :D

looks great, want to order one
Kudos to Magna Carta to having design such brilliant nibs!
I cannot find the Grande anywhere as of 9/27/24. Sure wish I could find one with this lovely huge nib.

That coffee and cream swirl one is amazing. One thing I have seen around in comments is that the #8 nib being unadorned doesn't look quite right
Stay tuned! :)

@@edisonpenco thank you so much for the reply. Will do. It's a great looking pen.
@@catchacoolbreeze No problem! Thanks for understanding the delay on a customization like this. :)
@Drew Sound good Drew! We can chat in roughly a month! :)
@@edisonpenco sure thing. It's a great looking pen. My favorite of yours by far. Maybe my hands are weird. Quite possibly!
Will these fit the new Jinhao X159?
The link isn't working, Brian, from here or on your website.
Hi John. I'm not sure what link you are referring to, but I can't find any dead links right now.
Wait, what? No writing sample?
I think the pen looks fantastic but unfortunately very overpriced. Steel nib pen for $400+???
Sorry, you may have misunderstood. The Collier Grande is $325 as a converter filler.
