      3. Black sand is not a sand. It's aquarium soil (substrate)
      The plants are planted in it.

      If you had explained EVERYTHING about the creation of your beautiful aquarium, it could have been The best! i mean ALL the aspect, all the steps... surely it could be useful for many people that, ( like me) want to begin and dont know almost anything ( or just a little like me).
      Have you ever thought about making a TUTORIAL ? Perhaps your aesthetic taste and artistic ability could grow people's ability...

      This is an old video (my start on youtube). At the time, I wasn't really experienced with aquascaping .. I'm not an expert now, but I know a little more than I did then. So my recording, editing and video-making experience was really bad back then. Anyway... Hardscape is dragon stone and river sand,substrate is tropica aquarium soil.

      They are probably there to save on the fertile substrate, since its quite expensive.

    Just curious why would you use a spray bottle on the plants if you're going to fill it up with water? Beautiful job btw

      Thank's. Plants must be kept wet when they are planted, otherwise they will be dried and that is not good for them.

      Thank's! I will post some update,but right now I struggle with diatom or something like that. Not sure what is it exactly... I try to solve this problem,but with no success yet. Yesterday I put my tank in Blackout for 3 days... I hope the best... Thank's for your support

      Make sure you're documenting your process with diatoms like you did with your set up. You could make a really helpful video showcasing your dilemma and how you solved it/what problems presented themselves.

    Really nice! I'm thinking of starting my own aquascape soon. I have a question though - when you build like this, do you have a support under the glass bottom? I can see that the weight is alot because of the sand and rocks. When i start my own tank i want to be sure the glass bottom don't breake....

      Hvala!! 27 litara ili ti 3 dzaka od 9 litara. Jer sam kasnije povadio to kamenje sto sam stavljao ispod i dodao samo soil.

      Glad my aquascape inspired you,thanks for watching. I bought the stone from a fellow aquarist.
      You can find the Dragon stone at a better equipped fish store or at your nearest aquascaping store. You can find it online, it's a very common stone today.

      Thank's. It's just ordinary gravel. I use it to fill some space before adding soil.

      Isaac Ixtupe aquasoil is expensive to build up that much ground.

      Thanks!! That is regular aquarium gravel in socks.
      I used that under the soil to raise the level.

    nice! That rock is sold by kilograms, could you tell me how much do I have to buy for the same job? my aquarium measures 80x30 cm. Thanks

      Around 8 kg, in this setup i use 10 kg. But it all depends on the shape of the stone. Not every piece of stone is the same,some have more holes on themselves some less.

      Thanks.!! I have an old video about sump,but now it's changed a bit because of this setup... You can see how it works in that old video, the only thing I added is another chamber and more biological filtration.

    Hi, wonderful setup. I want to setup a low cost aquascape with very hardy plants. Is it enough to plant them on aquarium soil alone without bacter balls and other clay stuffs ? Please help me with some tips.

      Thanks! Yes,you can do that easily. I did not put any bacterial stuff in this setup. And in the end it turned out great.

    Very nice scape, it looks nice and clean yet plenty of character. Nicely done! Can I ask what the tank is? I can see the dimensions but am wondering what the name of it is? I'm looking for a tank of similar size with the filtration in the back rather than a hang-on or canister.
