This video helped me write my secondary and I was accepted - and for other schools it helped me understand what to look for in terms of school fit and research to do
So in a way watching the videos side by side could be a comparison because I basically research the same dimensions of both programs. A comparison in the which is better route is tricky because it feels very subjective. You can't really go wrong with either program but you want to think about best fit for you. Are you applying this cycle?
There is a question on their secondary that asks us to briefly discuss our research experience, if we don't have any would it be okay to discuss the research we plan on doing there? Naming specific departments and such?
sure...and if you have any experience within the clinical space that can connect to the future research you want to conduct you can speak to how you have seen this need or this issue through another angle which further fuels your interest in researching it
for the “why us” question for u miami in particular (and i guess other schools), is it wrong to mention the location of the school? for example i’m from michigan and would love to go to medical school in a warmer and sunnier climate like that of south florida
Hi, you could mention it but I would keep it very brief because that really doesn't speak to the strength of their program or their curriculum...and good weather you can find with the other few med schools in the region...so if you mention it I would make it a passing comment...not spend too much time on it. good luck!
Miami has so many other positives and there are other med schools in florida - why Miller specifically? A good way to spin location would be to mention the city’s diversity with language and ethnicity of patient populations.
What other schools do you want to learn about?
Hi! I'd like to learn about University of Miami undergrad business school, Georgia Tech, Emory and UT-Austin!!! Thanks Dr. Josie
@@ericvives3154 Thanks for the schools Eric, I will put them on my list for this cycle.
