In our lamentable days the faithful are faced with a dilemma: to follow the "Orthodoxy" of the Church organization (which is overrun by Ecumenists, Social Gospel peddlers, and those who blindly follow them in everything) or to follow the Orthodoxy of the Organism (the Orthodoxy revealed by Christ)! Thank you and Fr. Savas for being obedient to and revealing this true Orthodoxy! Glory to God!

Thank you for reminding everyone of the difference between church-organization and Church Organism, that Holy new-martyr Mikhail Novoselov talked about in depth; It is such an important understanding, especially in our times, when many are getting confused how is it possible that in Church of God we see so many wrong comments and even teachings and actions of those who should be our guides to the Kingdom of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Thank you Gregory for your contributions to Orthodoxy in our modern times. May God continue to bless you in finding more sayings and texts from the contemporary saints and holy fathers in order to guide those of us left bewildered and lost from our local churches' apostasy. Please pray for St. Anthony's monastery to continue being a shining light, an uncovered candle, in the dark days at hand.

Very grateful as ever. It is especially touching as a convert who searched long through reading about many faith traditions to find at last the pearl of great price Orthodoxy and for our journey and care to be understood well by Archimandrite Savas. A coming home. Thank you Father Peter.

Blessed fathers, for us Orthodox trapped in mega cities without our Orthodox shepherds, your persistant efforts through Christ, to reach out and strengthen us, is without question the holiest gift from Christ at this very moment. My soul delights and is built up through the words of God’s Grace that reach us through you, during these times of loneliness. I do feel abandoned by the clergy - Lord forgive me for saying that, and I pray that their faith be emboldened through our resurrected Lord. These are times of persecution and we are all called to be shining beacons - τέκνα φωτός- of God’s Word, in a world that is sunk in sin. Jesus Christ our Lord to bless you abundantly and all the faithful who obey His Word. The name of the Lord be blessed, now and forever!

I’m sorry to hear that; I will remember you in my prayers. I’m learning to devote more time to prayer, to listening to sermons such as this one and reading the Bible and other books by the Fathers of the Church. I find that I am confessing my sins to another devoted Christian, just like the proto- Christian Church. I’m learning to value the sacramental life which is not available now, and to be patient like St Mary of Egypt. I used to be angry, frustrated, confused like you say, until last Sunday. Through prayer Christ has given me the wisdom to be patient. Like the paralytic at the pool of Bethesda (John 5). I’m blessed to have a brother in Christ and we pray, read, reflect together over the phone. I feel the Church is going underground, and that made me panic at first. But now I trust in God, without fear. And Jesus has empowered me....Have faith blessed soul, and don’t let fear separate you from the Almighty God. Pray unceasingly. The blessings of the Lord upon you. ‘Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus’ 2 Timothy 2:1

Thank you once again fr. Peter and fr. Savvas. I have been reading a new very detailed and thorough biography of st. Paisios the Athonite and noticed that he was warning the people a lot about "spiritual microbes" and dangers that ecumenism and endorsing western theology bring to our holy orthodox faith. I feel the most horrid disease we suffer from is not bodily, not the coronavirus or any other but the "european spirit" that st. Paisios was talking about.. thats why it feels very encouraging to hear these plain, truly orthodox teachings that are anchored to the holy fathers.

The faithful should know what to believe both the ethos and the dogma. A discerning spiritual Father is needed and he should live the apostolic life (an imitation of the life of the apostles) - live in poverty and in meekness and noetic prayer. We need to search for this good spiritual father - this proper doctor for our soul. Travel miles many miles to find him. We can telephone this blessed spiritual Father (Saint Porfyrios did just this) - Saint Kosmas said there will come a time that we will have to travel miles and miles to find this priest. May God truly help us all be blessed with this doctor for our soul ☦️🙏😔 Thank you dear Fathers for the counsel to help us consider many things and to self reflect upon.

Even so, there are big questions that I need guidance on and I don't know who to go to for help and I have been praying for and waiting for a spiritual father. He does not teach the Orthodox Way of trust, self-control, and asceticism.
Onanism (throwing the seed out (profylax)) is severally condemned by the Lord in the relevant case in the First Testament.
Abortifacients are, of course, condemned (this includes “the pill”).
Perverting God’s design, avoiding trust in His providence, tweaking our nature to serve our passions and avoid fruit-bearing is not a spiritual way of being but fleshly.
Is trust in God present in this “birth controlling” way of being in communion - if one can call it communion, since the union in the fruit which is the child is avoided.
