Good observations about what is going on in our society. My favorite parts about travel, are the interesting people I meet--people who are challenging themselves with life-enriching experiences. For instance, at a campground in Nevada, I met a woman from France who was bicycling from the Bay Area to Colorado. She was 76 years old! (I felt kind of lazy traveling in a car!) In the city I moved to recently, people (neighbors) are often surprised by a friendly "hello" in passing. So many of them seem shut down, or for some reason have learned to detach.
