One thing that’s underrated to understand or think about is delay, the delay in 2k changes so much even if you have good wifi or an Ethernet cord. So if you’re missing when you’re usually consistent that could be why
good monitor helps to know if ur trippin or actually miss timing ur jump shot. idk i hate missing 🫡🤷🏽♂️
@@SPLlCKlNG i play on a monitor
Great advice Joe I've been noticing and telling my friends that practicing your jump shot when and where you're at on the court will vary the timing. Great content brotha
Those putbacks were lethal, never seen so many consistent putbacks
Appreciate You Joe! This Helped A Lot!
I use early. I started using Anthony Davis base instead of Brisset. I went from 37% to 51%. My release is 20% Tim Duncan and 80% Dirk. Just like that when the release hand hits top of my head I release easy visual
Yessir AD Base With James Johnson Both R’s… Try Dirk 67 Kareem 33 Soon As It Hits Top Of Head 4/4 Speed Very Early
With the big man Anthony Davis jump shot base do this instead:
Release 1: Tim Duncan
Release 2: Dirk Nowitzki
87/13. Thank me later 👍
Or if you want a better hitch:
Release 1: LaMarcus Aldridge
Release 2: Dirk Nowitzki
67/33. I use late timing.
@@_.Pingu. So with Duncan/Nowitzki I release right when the ball touches the top of his head.
With Aldridge/Nowitzki It's after he touches his head with the ball right before he pushes his hands forward to release the ball.
You can always go into the gatorade facility and dial it in. I like to hop backs into the shot for more consistency when practicing the shots.
@@_.Pingu. Early release timing might be a little better for the Aldridge jump shot. The cue is a little better in my opinion. For early release with Aldridge, you let go right when the ball touches his head.
@@_.Pingu. TBH these jump shots are good, but the one I use all the time I think is way better. I use Oshae Brissett base with Tim Duncan/ LaMarcus Aldridge release. 55/45 Late timing.
@@_.Pingu. @_.Pingu. Oh yeah, I think Oshae is better fs it's definitely faster too! In the end though it's just a matter of what you think looks/feels best and what you can time consistently. I recommend just finding a jump shot you like and just stick to it! Don't change anything even if you're shooting bad. After a week or so if it's just not working for you change it up but do the same thing with the next jump shot. You'll find something that works. 👍
Always a good day when Joseph drops 🙏🏼
Needed this video
Would it be possible to make like a James harden style build with space creator and ankle breaking shots ? Feel like that would be a banger
God bless you that you still got the grind in you bro...this game is hard to enjoy now adays😢... aside from this being your job...whats keeps u grinding this late in the year joe?
This game is hot doo doo. All these different releases makes me not even want to play or even cop the next bs doo doo installment. Plus with mk1,street fighter,diablo4,and other games coming out. Dont nobody have time for that crap
Im on tv and the input delay is different every game. I played on a monitor for a week and it was so smooth. Playing on tv is part of the reason tis years so difficult. One game ill make everything and the next itll take me 2 or 3 qtrs to figure out the input delay
I finally found a good video thank you so much
Didn't know you were like that on the court!! 💪🏿💪🏿
I’ve been shooting 50, needed this 😎
Roof 🐶
😂
Joe always Knows👌🏾
Do you play on different builds. That’s my problem I get used to one and the other one seems foreign when I go back to the original
Congrats on 1 mill 🎉
I have steph, oscar, oscar 4/4 late timing. What visual cue should i be releasing at
Good hint on the animations I switched from KD to Paul George for sig escape and it changed my 6’9 completely went from scoring 15 ppg to 22+ it’s just way more smooth on 6’9
Good boosts out of the escape??
@@acehuncho1819 hell yeah try it out bro I fw it tough
I use very late and I shoot 62% from 3. It’s just the easiest way for me to catch the timing. Especially when you don’t know the release you’re going to get.
Same. Very late, 65% runnin with randoms. It’s very not trash imo just depends on user
@@b.smooth1354 Facts. I run with a lot of randoms too.
very late is the wave fr just release when he’s about let go of the ball most simple visual cue
I suck, I’m shouting like 37% as a guard
Very late the wave 72% from deep on my Pf with 82 3 ball
Thank you so much you helped me sk much
Thank you
the beginning of the video took me tf out🤣🤣🤣
do you recommend lamelo base on a 92 3pt swing?
W video joe does kno
What do you think about David Robinson base?
Needed this Joe! I just made a 3&D wing and felt like nothing worked for me. This should have help improve my game
Joe casually putting the nastiest putback clips in this video
w video like all ways joe
Fire content
Are there any other release queues on your jumper
I learned my timings with the meter back on now I’m more consistent in all situations no reason to turn it back off
This helped me with my jump shot
Appreciate the 2k23 content. Now is the time of year many start making requests for new game. I think the main request needs to be this. The builder the 2k league players get, that needs to be the one for the entire game. Can you make a video on this?
I think the difference youre talking about is old gen xbox vs the new gen. The builders are different so 2k can steal more money from us
what type of controller do you use?
Wat dribble pull up u use
What’s a good jumpshot for 99
3 point 6’5
@Joe Knows how do you do put backs? Is it when the ball bounces off the rim you hold x and great video btw very informative you really are a hooper
Press and hold it before the ball his
*hits
Demar DeRozan base for 6'5- 6'9 builds is underrated IMO
ay joe i needed this for season 7, u da Man✊💯
Is this for next gen only
when i have to release the button if i have The Melo Ball based release and Early?
It feels they change the jumpshot itself i need gatorade boosts to shoot consistently. but since im soo used to my jumpshot being slower i miss w gatorade
Joe honestly Very Late is really good especially if you got a flick of the wrist jumper
Ok JOE! I see you bro at 00:40 respect
can you do a video on best shooting badges if you have 25 shooting badges
All these put back dunks is nasty
Joe talking about shooting tips while putting everybody in the rim lol
bro has perfect timing finally got 2k23 yesterday
Joe when are you going to hoop with random fans I got you on my friends list would love to learn in game from you bro.
damn datboi got a milly now, i remember when he had like 500 subs
Why was shot timing ever add to the game
To combat zens
kyle lowry for small guards it’s the best❤
The intro is crazy . Ain’t have to do me like that 💀
Please can you do a Josh Giddey Build ? Nobody do this in this 2k 😂
Brissett base
Release 1: Jokic
Release 2: Dirk
Release Speed: 4/4
Blend: 19/81
Easy to time and easy to green
I can't find jokic
@@R3p_reviewer You 3 ball must not be 79 and up?
@@R3p_reviewer nevermind Jokic should still be on there tho regardless. You sure you aren’t just overlooking it
Yea I agree with certain things but , that muscle memory . And shooting with very late , disagree . Shooting high 60 low 70 from 3 . 86 3 ball
I use very late and I shoot almost 70% as a PG. I’m taking shots after making separation or blinders opportunities. I think it’s not correct to say one is garbage over the other. It’s all personal preference. I been to early to late and now to very late and find most successful using very late. I realize very late gives more time for my reflexes to determine when to let go of the shot. I’m not saying it’s the best, it just works better for me. In the end it’s all personal preference.
Same exact situation for me . 60-70 from 3 on very late . No hof shooting badges either . Really preference imo
When do you release the ball?
@@tace4982 normally at the peak of the jumpshot but it could be different from yours. I’d say just practice it and you’ll figure it out. Shooting relies more on your reflexes than focusing the queue.
Same
No matter how fast my actual jump shot is it always ends up slow can anyone help out with that?
Damn I use lamelo ball on my 6’1 tho lol. Pretty sure “joe knows” if it works it works 😂
do you like it i have a 6’9 with 92 3 pointer and i’m thinking of switching to lamelo base
@@apexonpaddles6532 this what I use lamelo Oscar and cp3 release I think you can try other and I believe it a 70/30 04 80/20
@@apexonpaddles6532 late timing and fastest speed
@@egnyc1727 you on current or next gen
Can you do a video on the luka doncic build
Early is best because u dont have to time holding the shot button which i use .
You should do basketball irl bro u look really good do like the next chapter of friga
I use your bigman jumpshot a Long time but last week i cant, every shoot late
very late is trash? I use very late and shoot 65% from3 on next and 70% on current but ok
Bro I can't make a shoot whenever the release timing was not perfect (in all game modes). Unlike all of the previous versions of 2k that you still have a high chance to make a shot even tho its not a perfect release. Is there a way to fix that problem?
in 2k23 its literally green or you miss
I don’t have the bases unlocked 68 overval what do I use
I give up.. can someone please tell me what sig siz up he is using on his main build 😭
Can we get a hornets cp3 build Joe?
First I couldn’t I shoot put my shot on late start shooting better & better now I’m ass again🤷🏾♂️😂
The fact joe can actually dunk like that while being one of the best on 2k.. Respect
im sayin
He was a pro soccer player too. This dude does it all
Looks like I’m the only one in this community using Harden’s jumper, and shooting 60%+ from 3 with it…day 1 jumper..has never failed me.
Shhhhh U Too Loud 🫢
@@therealkhobe-2721 I use it on early, the release be quick asf in the rec. Money every time.
One of the best iso jumpers 😭
I use early my boys think im comp cuz i use it but my jumper so damn fast bro its nuts
What if the badges doesn’t really do anything like spot up badges like catch n shoot n corner specialist didn’t 2k labs say those where pretty much a waste of a badge ?
Yes, their boosts are not as good as previous years, and you're actually better off using Claymore. Silver Claymore boosts your Make % by like 94%, which is absolutely insane. I believe that's if you wait at one spot for, at most, 4 seconds.
Very late is. Soo good
Joe we need a 2k24 wishlist
Yeah dont buy it🤦🏾♂️
It sounds good, but they switch the timing up…not with no contest or low stamina, just remedial 2k logic. This season I had to speed my release up ten notches and it seems to be the same as it was in Season 6 (Kuzma base)
John Stocktom base is the fastest one for small guards
I’m on very late shooting lates🤦🏿 I’m so delayed
I play off visual memory and I still shoot really good and I just started to play 23 back for mascots
Did u get one?
Pj tucker base is very good too
Thing is
They took vibration on shot out
That was great
The real problem is dudes refuse to hit the Gatorade to get their timing down before playing
What move was that @5:40 that spin into that shot goes crazy
The spinback
Yup Late is the best 😤
Wish I was this good ahh
Do you need dead eye
I use very late and got a 70% in the Park
Jumpshot celebration at 9:30 ?
People still need help in season 7 for shooting. Thats wild to me
how can i level up fast so I can hit 40 for mascots
Anyone know the build he used in the video?
Any tips to get more putback dunks like that? 😮
I was in baugher stream yesterday and the guy giving you a hard time must’ve never been disciplined. Just wanted to say you’re a great leader not telling your teammates what they want to hear but what they need to hear. That was one hell of a comeback too 😂
On top of learning the contest system, learn the different challenge %s and drifts of your base.
I use JR Smith because he has my favorite jumpshot, but out of the bases that 2K Tutes tested, it has one of the worst front challenge %s and little to no side drift. I have to factor that in whenever I'm getting contested from the front.
Jr smith is a really good shot but I haven’t hit any shot thats anything but wide open idk if thats js me or jumper tho
@@Nickcm - His base does a little leaner as soon as there's any contest. It throws me off and I always expect it to miss because I didn't get a shot celebration but then it goes in lol
Build Bro?
It’s crazy nobody talks about the sped up jumpers while standing wide open but wateva
Which jumpshot that you showed is chicken 2.0 ?
You can use Brisset from 6’5 to 7’3. I use it on every build.
Best shot in the game 💯
@@jaharid741that definitely belongs to kpj but y’all too scared to make a real sized guard.
@@tfonn1582 🤔I got a 6’7 and a 6’3 with a 83 win but , still use Brisset on those builds . I can agree that Kpj is better 🤷🏾♂️.
I use Caldwell-Pope base with Bey (r1) & Kawhi (r2). It's a quick release and smooth. I hit close to 50% from 3pt.
@@robertmallon9142 u literally less than 50 that ain't nun to be proud of
