kinda concered that our first hype character isn't really gunna be obtainable for most but in general patch looks solid. what do u guys think?
This company's monetization policies are continually showing to be underhandedly consumer unfriendly. As these patches come there was the whole season fiasco and now they're locking content behind essentially an unreasonably priced paywall. Pulls here defo aren't cheap. I'm completely demotivated to keep spending in here, I'd rather spend my cash on WuWa right now.
The update looks mid tbh. just look like more chores. Events looks like kids games and no new concrete game modes to keep players engaged. Going to uninstall this game soon.

If they made all new hypogean/Celes attainable with gems for the event, but after the event, they went to stargazer only - then I'd be hype.
Otherwise... I'll get to enjoy this character several months from now when he's finally in a usable state at M+ after I've bought enough copies from the guild store and hitting pity. Idk how anyone could be hype for this...

They adds a continuous engaging (kruger's mission), a daily tactical drills, the fun games to play whenever you want and other things.
About Phraesto I don't care that much, I'll just catch him as next cel/hipogean
if you cant trade diamonds for stargaze pulls, it's just a straight up whale character. The game has already been extremely P2W, I really hope they allow us to have easier access to stargaze heroes.
I wish they made new hypogean and cele's attainable with gems, but then after their event, went to the stargazer.

the hypogean reminds me of a villan from Blood of Zeus series
If they absolutely don't want you to pull on stargazer station with diamonds, a great idea would be to add new hypogeans and celestials to the rate up banner for diamonds. Once they leave the rate up banner, it's only in the guild shop and stargazer station.

It would be very generous if they did that, but that's a ton of money they're losing. The price of a rate up invite is so much cheaper then star gazer pulls. Would be at a huge discount. Also anyone who pulled Soren would feel shafted since this dude is a beast compared to him.
Hypogeans are cool and all but dang does it take forever to mythic+ them unless you wield the golden Credit Card

Lol I DO have a Golden Credit Card (that famous Epic Equipment 😆), but why the hell would I pay for this game? It costs AT LEAST $30 to get anything remotely, temporarily useful (the 2 secret travelogues); while for the same amount you can get waaay better entire games on Steam (like Skyrim for $10, or Valheim for $15) ...
AFKJ is overpriced way over its real value. IMO it's worth $10-$15, no more.
@@SimOmega47 welcome to gacha games. they usually have a 1-5$ offer thats equal to the average 20-30$ offers but those are like once every other month and only some accounts get them. (usually to bait in new spenders)
Especially if you don't bother with the stargazing system and slowly grind the guild store copies and the log ins
Not gonna lie this looks really nice. All the extra weapon ascension materials, more pulls, more events to keep us busy, I'm excited for this update!

Ty for the video, i think that this small update has everything for us players to be occupied with and even has more than enough for free to play players. Overall its a bit sad that the new Tank will be so Hard to get I also hope that there will be more use to diamands relating to celes pulls
Loads of the whales on my server have quit, and the remaining ones like me have stopped spending on the game.
Hype for new characters is absolute zero, and most of the people in my guild aren't even excited by the new season.
AFK Journey's future isn't look good tbh.

@@Kiterunner i only spend if i like the game and i play it on both side a minimum spender and a pure f2p, i dont even have the problem of running out of content since i dont over grind like hardcore players.
The male merlin outfit I feel is worse compared to the female one. Like the style is different besides the candy motif where male one is like patchwork mad hatter vibes and female one looks more upkept and more aligned with like cute aesthetic
Phraesto,cecia,floribelle,berial, & hyuawyn or Damian would be crazy! Massive heals/energy + tons of summons on the floor. def going to push some AFK stages nicely. Arena, maybe not cause Eironn Ult would clap them

@@chelseadgafx3 having a tank with pet to compliment my pet comp with cecia/flora? This might actually be the one hero in afkj that I whale for (sorta did with flora but I had enough summons tickets to get her mythic already and I love using pets)
@alejandromato1992 Sadly, when I got Florabelle, I went in on her in the last 24 hours, and I didn't have any S+ yet, so she's only Supreme for me right now. I added her to my epic wishlist as soon as I could, though, because I didn't expect to love her as much as I did. His kit definitely has me wondering if I'll take him to M+ before Reiner since Reiner is decent enough in most comps at L. I might have to dolphin him and Berial for the Ultimate Zoo Team.
@@chelseadgafx3 her s+ is actually really nice, also I think he’s going to come in clutch super hard in pvp because against reinier/vala/sylvina comps u can position ur clone to take the dmg instead of wasting a hero slot in putting a back line Brutus/antondra/igor

I hope they lower the prices for the gazettes and bundles. They are too costly for very little value. Call of Duty Mobile battle pass system is a very good model which devs can try to emulate from.

i uninstalled the game after watching this video.. it feels like for the past and next month, only whales get anything to do in the game, meanwhile we get a 5mn daily login event. I honestly dont see why i am playing the game anymore, i know its an afk game but still, we are not even getting any chars to pull for, and when we do, we have to be giga lucky and pull enough for m+ otherwise they do nothing endgame (where most people are)

I rly don't like the direction the game is going. Mid banner after mid banner since launch and now they add a Stargaze character...
If the next 2 banners are still trash I guess I'll just quit the game.
I personally enjoy playing gacha games for characters and having so many underwhelming characters one after another is very disappointing. It's just this feeling every time I pull "If I don't get the character doesn't matter cuz I don't need him in meta teams" and "If I get the character it doesn't matter cuz using it nets the same damage and in some cases it's worse" so pulling it's always boring.
I don't know why they are so scared to make a good unit. The game has like 10-15 Good characters and if the new character doesn't work in a team with one of those then it's just useless. Why don't they just add a unit that makes other characters broken? Or something similar or anything else actually, I don't care what, just something that makes people whale out on a busted unit. I haven't played a gacha yet, where the devs refuse to put a good unit on a banner for this long...

Hi Volkin, I have a question about the Kruger event if we the new to mid players have not completed the main story line does this mean we can't in enjoy the event, becuz it lock behind the main story line or are there another way for the new player to play the new event if u have any info on that?
sounds like that will be the case which i think sucks for those who started later
But it will run until september so you have plenty of time to catch up! Also Story goes in the blink of an eye in my experience, hopefully you reach the end soon!

Seems like some quests can be stocked up so you can do multiple and there is also an end. It NOT goes on forever until the end. When you reach the maximum rank it stops giving quests. So there's an END

@@VolkinAFKJourney either way I think it works out especially because I feel his clone could be a secret counter to the vala comp in pvp, have him or his clone in the back and other in front, no need to have a back line Antondra/brutus/igor which saves a team slot for a more important role and having extra unit with florabel is super great into odie and even rainier for giving him a target to teleport

Honestly i dont mind hypogean as long as they are pvp unit, because frankly speaking i dont really care about arena that much, being stuck at legend 3 is already good enough for me. I just hope they dont release reiner 2.0 anytime soon.

Why? This content is quite good and maybe is super good. If those purple soul essences are for hypogean pulls gonna be TOO GOOD for F2P, we need to see what they are. Even if they are not hypogean summons, we getting more stargazers F2P and golden essences to upgrade weapons for free
New unit looks fun, then you get one copy, try to use it, he dies immediately. That's the "rare" units experience. After 2 months i have 2 Reiners (not a fan to be honest), one Scarlita and one clown (sooo bad) + 1 pull away from someone in sg. And they do nothing at low rarity no matter how you justify it, but i'm not interested in arena.
that makes sense though that these powerful characters take time to build up so you can't just get one copy of all of them to trivialize everything but have to focus into one of them (buying/pulling for several of them at the same time is a bad idea lol). I think stargazer pulls should be a bit more accessible than they currently are, though, 'cause it's a bit painful to be releasing a new unit like that when you are unlikely to have finished even one of them without whaling at this point
I can't wait till we are at season 5, and all 5 regions will be holding their own unique festivals! It would also give us a reason to go bacm and see all the new players as well ❤

i like that tank hypogean but i still havent got my reiner to M+ yet.
Work on reiner first or you'll end up with two mediocre units, plus scarlitta's kit is much better than this guy in my opinion.

Yeah, new hypogene but as f2p it will take years to upgrade them😂, hoping they would increase the starhaze item income , right now its just so low, the guild chests won't even give any. So not really thay hype for new hypogene.

That's true. Should've had Alsa/Sorenn since they were the one's based off story, but I guess they used them to appeal to younger audience? Games are typically made for "kids" 🤷♂
@@dbzownz12345 I couldn't care less who they used it was how they spoke to one another. It reminds me of the interactions seen in TV shows aimed at toddlers. I'd like to hope, given it's a gacha game, they aren't trying to make their target audience preschoolers.
Quit because arena is hard to get free summons locked behind whales that are strong in champion it really feels like ppl miss out on wishes when ppl play the arena everyday. These are just for top players feel the fomo ppl

Kruger event is kinda sucks for players who started late or yet unable to enter into the new season, but a nice event nonetheless.
