when i connect hardware wallet to opensea opensea automatically chooses the allready installed account on metamask (not the newly installed ledger account). I've logged out, logged in again various times but each time it chooses the other account. I just never get to choose the account. never see this option popping up. (allthough the ledger account is clearly installed in metamask)
i think that the way that it works is that the metamask wallet account holds various eth accounts, including any that you imported from ledger. i'm sorry if this was incorrect or unhelpful.

I have plugged my ledger nano S directly into my iMac several times without any. Should I be using a connector? Thank you. I will continue to watch and likely have more questions.
If you've been able to plug it in and connect without an issue, then no problem. A dongle is useful when you have to connect a USB-A cable to a USB-C one.

Hello, still doesn´t explain to users who have already a metamask wallet with several accounts, in some of these wallets the tokens can´t not be transferred to Ledger account connected to metamask. The user has to transfer all the tokens to the eth account(s) created in Ledger Live to protect their funds? And about the tokens that can´t not be transferred because of the minting process?
Very good video, when you were showing how to buy crypto for the first time you said to copy the address. When you tapped on the two rectangles on the left of the address did it send a copy of the address to the devise automatically?
Hello, when you press on the rectangles, you copy the address to your clipboard to be able to paste it. The device on the other hand will show you all the details (address / amount / fees etc.) and you would have to manually verify and sign them on the device to be executed. Small note here: please always trust what you see on your Ledger's screen device. Sometimes, some user's PC might be infected with an address changing malware, that's why verifying with your Ledger device's screen comes in handy to protect you in case your the address was changed by the malware, hence you won't sign it and notice that there is an issue with your OS you are on, then you would have to do a malware scan etc.. Thanks for the help. I have my ledger connected to my MM which has 10 wallets in it. I’ve bought a new laptop and want to mirror my existing MM onto it from my desktop. What I did is download MM onto my laptop but used the existing 12 word seed phrase from my desktop MM. Then I connected my Ledger and unlocked the 10 accounts. It seems to have worked okay. Is this all I need to do? Is using the same recovery phrase safe enough.
We hope you have set up your Ledger device with its own 24 words seed phrase and did not import your Metamask seed phrase to your Ledger device. Since this is not safe at all and defeats the purpose of the Ledger device. If your 10 accounts conneted with Metamask show Ledger before the account name then you can stay rest assured you have migrated correctly to your new computer.

Hey - Please DO NOT ENTER your 24 words seed phrase anywhere online on your PC or mobile. This will defeat the purpose of having a cold wallet. Once your 24 words is exposed online your funds will be at risk. Lobstr is a software wallet not compatible with Ledger devices.
understanding that initially I must create a account in metamask and then rename it do not use and the seed phrase does not matter. but what happens if I uninstall metamask or simply try to install it on another pc? Hello again. I just tried following instructions for getting my XLM address (receive) at the 20:59 marker. I already added the XLM software to my S a while back. Under accounts, Stellar, I click receive and my address appeared, I connected and unlocked my device and then verified the address on Ledger Live accounts matches that on my device - approve. I didn't copy it beforehand to paste into Uphold to do a small transfer from Uphold to Ledger as a test. Is there a place to easy find it again? Or do I need to go through the process again? Hello, no you don't need to uninstall your Ledger Live instance on your desktop. You just need to follow the process again with your new device and you'll be able to simply add accounts to your existing Ledger Live tabs!
I have a Nano S. It has a tiny 138kb memory which seems a problem! Q? Say I installed Cardano app and moved my Cardano coins to the Nano S, then I uninstall Cardano app, are my Cardano coins still safely on my Nano S?

Hey there, to better clarify, the only two ways you could lose your funds is: - If you compromise your 24 words recovery phrase (this was all assets tied to your 24 words are at risk) - If you sign a malicious contract (only the address you signed with is at risk) Malware on your PC can sometimes change the receiving address shown on your screen, that's why you should always trust what you see on your Ledger device's screen, if the address is not right, it means the PC is compromised and showing you a fake address! That's why make sure your PC is malware free!

For Cosmos you simply need to install cosmos app and add a cosmos account in Ledger Live. Question: if my computer gets compromised or affected by malware after or before the installation ledger, is that possible my ledger private key also could be compromised when it is connected to the internet after installing the ledger? Hey there, to better clarify, the only two ways you could lose your funds is:
- If you compromise your 24 words recovery phrase (this was all assets tied to your 24 words are at risk)
- If you sign a malicious contract (only the address you signed with is at risk)
Malware on your PC can sometimes change the receiving address shown on your screen, that's why you should always trust what you see on your Ledger device's screen, if the address is not right, it means the PC is compromised and showing you a fake address! That's why make sure your PC is malware free!

Apologize from my end. the mistake is made from my side while placing the order I had entered wrong email ID which is not working,that is the reason I was not able to get confirmation mail. Now I have raised the ticket again for this issue and mailed to the support team with all attachment. @@Ledger thank you for your response. I kept at it and figured most of it out on my own. There's still some things I'm struggling with like taking Arweave and Cosmos from my exchange to my Ledger. It said I had to connect an ETH wallet.

For Cosmos you simply need to install cosmos app and add a cosmos account in Ledger Live. Instructions here 👇🏻
