Worked a treat! thank you xx I usually use the Novorapid Flexpens, but sometimes when I run out of those I use the vials. I'm ashamed to say that in 23 years as a diabetic, I never knew until now how to get rid of air bubbles, lol 🤦♂🤣
Thank you :) you remove the needle. How to maintenance the needle still clean. If you put out the needle it will got bacteria? Do you change the needle with new one?
Went looking for something about air bubbles in EPI, found this. Suppose this works also for other pre-filled pen-injectors (Liraglutide), so this is good information for everyone using such tech. Thanks for the instructions Snehal, this will help.
i use this method but what i also do when holding the pen upright is unscrew the needle but i don't take it out . the screw in threads should just touch eachother . this way the needle isnt in the vial . i select 2 units and press down on the plunger (not too hard) then i slowly screw the needle back into the pen so the plunger moves . this way you get all the air out also i store my pen upright with the needle at the top . this seems to reduce the air bubbles forming in the pen
Sorry to hear that. Why don't you post a video with the issue you're facing, on our Facebook community and maybe someone can suggest - facebook.com/groups/bluecirclediabetesfoundation/
Me too. I ejected 3 units of insulin and the bubble is still there. It was at the top so it should have gone out but it clearly just hides in a corner under the lid.
By tapping the syringe..Thanks, please post your question on our Facebook community for quick answers- facebook.com/groups/bluecirclediabetesfoundation
How dangerous is an air bubble? No matter how much I tap or push through a priming dose in my pen I can't get the air bubble out And it feels like I'm wasting precious medicine every time I load a priming unit so that I can try to get the air bubble out I have a ozempic pen not insulin but running into the same issue here From all the tapping one single air bubble has now turned into several hundred tiny ones and they aren't even moving upwards when I tilt the pen and tap it again

Doesn't work. Drives me crazy when I keep ejecting insulin by trying this and the air bubble just stays in there.

Where do you keep the needle after removal???
Hi please ask on our Facebook community, Diabetes Support Network India - facebook.com/groups/bluecirclediabetesfoundation/?ref=share
I use an
Old laundry detergent canister with a lid and write. On it what is in it.
I am college going student so how can I carry my insulin pen in summer?
In a Frio. Also feel free to ask on our Facebook community, Diabetes Support Network India-- facebook.com/groups/bluecirclediabetesfoundation/
What if you are removing insulin from the pen with a syringe? How can you then remove the bubbles? Ugh
By tapping the syringe..Thanks, please post your question on our Facebook community for quick answers- facebook.com/groups/bluecirclediabetesfoundation
What happens if you accidentally inject a bubble into skin?
Nothing to skin, but bad if into vein.
I had broken my insulin cartridge slightly , I could see some air in it , can I use it or should I dispose it? Does it have any harmful effects?
