They made an english version of it called Like A Fool and SM bought the rights and thus the S.E.S. version was born. The Nylon Beat and the S.E.S. versions are pretty much the same song, Aespa made it different.

SM did just remaster the original MV so you can check it out to see how they compare plus to see the original GG that paved the way both for girl groups in general but for SM entertainment and Girls' Generation, f(x), RV and aespa. I don't know how invested you are in 90s music let alone kpop 90s but S.E.S definitely has solid hits. SM did also upload a special BTS video of them recording the song and such and the leader of S.E.S, Bada met the girls and gave them pointers which I thought was so nice, it's great to see the generations of GGs interact. Also the little alien person in both versions always reminded me of that weird Frog autotune creature that sang songs, I don't know if you remember that weird thing but I do 0.0
i did watch the SES version of the song, they did a great job and i can see why ppl take inspiration from them. It did also show how far the genre has came since then too, so that was cool. I like that the genre is new enough that you can look back at the originators and it still be relevant. Today tho kpop is 2nd to none on production quality, MVs and choreo
