Nice! I tried my had Twice with the JAG Scattergun series and both were a total failures. The first survived one day of game play before it just started dumping it's gas out of everywhere. The second was a failure out of the box. So I saved up a bit more and waited, and Just recently got a TM KSG12. I can't wait to play with it, but knock on wood my bad luck with gas shotguns doesn't Fuck it up.
That is bad luck mate! The Jag scatterguns are rebadged versions of these, as are the Secutor range of gas shotguns. I've heard of people having problems with them, but I can only go on my personal experience which has been good in my case. I don't know when you had them, but the range was updated about 3 years ago (my shotties are the new versions) which are much better than the old versions in terms of gas retention and reliability. The KSG is an awesome looking piece of kit and I hope you have better luck with it, however I've heard that the TM shotties can be just as finicky as the Golden Eagle series. They are essentially built in gas mags after all, and if you think about how much gas mags leak in Airsoft... Well it ain't good. 😂
@@MrLilredmachine yeah, I had the first gen scattergun with the first shotgun, but the second was a 3rd gen super shorty. I'm watching videos and everything to make sure I'm getting a good one, I buy it, and it leaks as soon as I give it gas. If this KSG fails, my best bet is too send it back and get something of equal value.
It depends on the type you have. The wooden handguard requires disassembly as it is one piece but the plastic ones are screwed together and come off in two halves.
I'm not sure the sawn off has the allowances for that, however if you have a look around i'm sure that there may well be some real steel accessories that might get the job done. The range is huge, and it is possible to get a shorty that is far more tactical in nature than the basic wooden shorty.
It depends, they can OEM for other brands, but they also release guns re-badged from others. For example the GBBR M4 I tested on this channel is in fact a Jing Gong model. These shotguns are the basis for Secutor models, do in this case they do OEM. The hop up is fixed, but is applicable to all three barrels (better than some!) I run 0.25, and on the big shotty you can expect a very respectable range of around 50m. The shorter sawn off is around 40m. Both are very respectable guns.
As far as I'm aware, it is possible to do. It's not overly simple as it would require the swapping of the gas tank assembly also, but technically possible.
@@MrLilredmachine thanks for anwsering. I want to have a “sawed off” barrel length wit full stock, maybe it would be easier to change the barrel of one with full stock..?
@@Crimsonbraids shop.jkarmy.com/parts/shotgun-parts carries a lot of the bits, might be worth having a look. It's availability of parts that is going to be the problem, not physical possibility in this case I think.
What some people do with this shotgun is they hpa it. Its as simple as tepla ing the gas fill valve with a russian cqb valve. Since golden eagle is the oem for jag arms, they use the same russian cqb valve. Of course you will need some teflon taps for optimal seal. You also do it with the tatical shotgun but it blocks the stock.
Yeah, I've seen them HPAd. I don't really understand why, as a gas fill lasts for circa 70 shots and with that kind of economy, carrying an air tank and all the kit around all day for HPA seems pointless to me, but each to their own! 😂
@@MrLilredmachine then again its that time of year. Green gas has low fps, shit effiency, and all sorts of other malfunctions in the winter and good luck getting your hands on red or black gas here in the us. Weather or not its worth all depends on weather or not yiu dont mind the airtank.
Hi there, I know right? Managed to completely gloss over that in the unboxing. I do show it at the 3/4 mark in the review video, but it goes into a valve in the underlever assembly.
It seems to be out of stock everywhere in the UK at the moment. Airsoft supplies are very low, recently had to go to Taiwan to get a model I needed. The model is the Golden Eagle M8877RW if it helps you search.
Hi there, it's a Battleaxe m870 drum mag. It will require you to remove the shell door, which competitive players tend to do anyway as it removes an extra step to reload the shells.
@@morbusmeise1327 I could do, it's fairly simple to do but does require a bit of stripping to get to. The other option is to pinch the bottom of the shell door so it pops out of the receiver, but you do run the risk of cracking the delicate alloy the door is made from. If it's a plastic model/door then it's a lot easier to do without damaging the door itself. There is a tutorial on RUclips if you search for Airsoft M870 shell door removal you'll find it. It's going to be a while before I get to do it as I have an upload schedule set for a few months now, so might be worth giving another video a watch.
Absolutely, haven't had any problems with them to speak of really. The only problem I have is that they are really a tad too powerful to use in my CQB arena!
A proper review as aweways!
Thanks very much Edgar!

Yeah man, I'm looking to HPA Cqb shotgun with a drum. I'm just doing the research to figure out which one I want...
Golden eagles are a good bet as the furniture they come with would cost hundreds for a TM870, and they are functionally pretty much the same.
Would you have any idea how to replace the hand guard/pump?
It depends on the type you have. The wooden handguard requires disassembly as it is one piece but the plastic ones are screwed together and come off in two halves.
What's the bb calibre?
6mm BB for these dude.
Does it have a sling mount or a holster available

Don't they OEM for a lot of brands??? I was debating an adjustable hop-up... ??? What weight BB's are you running???
