Very fun tag! Can’t get enough of these.
Simon, just FYI, Llewellyn (and most publishers, I would imagine) picks the card stock for each deck individually, depending on what's on the market at the time, so you may not need to write off the Llewellyn decks altogether. Other people's walkthroughs may be able to help you judge if it's worth the risk. Great video, as always!
Good to know, thank you Lunaea 🙏🏼❤️
I agree that tarot is a tool that has helped me be more mindful. The taking time, the journaling, having a conversation with myself (or possibly a spirit guide) is a blessing in my life. Thank you for the video.
You’re welcome. Thank you for watching 🙏🏻❤️
Trust me Simon your sensitive heart shines through you and out to the world with love and kindness. Thank you for this wonderful video.
Aaaw thank you, lovely. I appreciate that so much 🙏🏻❤️
Your tarot journal is gorgeous 😍😍😍😍😍 I also get told that I’m naive or a soft touch. Simon, I’m still here. I’m avoiding deck walkthroughs but I may make an exception for yours. I want to finish my goal of watching every video 💚
It’s lovely to know that you’re still around 😍
Fantastic video Simon. Loved listening to you go into detail about the spreads you use and how you read the card Interactions.
I'll definitely do this when I get the chance.
I’ll look forward to seeing it and hearing you responses 🙏🏼❤️
I only have one pet peeve: decks with off center images which result in oneven borders.
Good one!
I haven’t seen that Conrad JJ Swiss. Looks really posh. Good to hear from you Simon. Fun tag!
Thank you my friend! Hope you’re doing well 😍
I very much enjoyed this video. As someone who felt called to purchase my first tarot deck at 18 years old but then packed them away for decades as I tried to gain comfort in my Southern Baptist upbringing (which never really happened) I consider myself very new to the tarot at 48 years of age. This community has been an amazing resource. I particularly enjoy your take on things. I don't know if I will ever be comfortable starting my own channel, but I know as a beginner I would love to see fresh hashtags based on some things I have wondered about: Who reads reversals and who doesn't, the history of them and the advantages and disadvantages. The many variations on the Celtic Cross, who uses which ones and why? and Am I the only later in life Tarot newbie? I feel like the community as a whole all got started very young. It would be nice to connect to those who have found the tarot a bit further along in their journey. Much love to you and thank you for your wisdom and insight!
Your storey seems very similar to mine!
They're (we're) out there 💜😊 I had the same question! I'm 50 and recently came back home to Tarot after almost 2 decades so while not brand new (but very out of practice!) the online Tarot world is still very new to me. I'll probably never do a channel or anything but there are sure days when I want to (opinionated but anxious LOL)
A very good and nice video 👏🏻🙏 thank you Simon, be in peace ☮️🤗🪬🌹
Simon I love this. I may have to start a channel just to respond to this tag. I always love listening to you talk and I value your openness and honesty. I have to admit that your real and raw explanation of your death card year and the divinatory connection for your experienced year made me tear up. Your love of your mom is a beautiful light even as it’s been a painful year for you. Thank you for always sharing your authenticity.
Thank you so much! And wow, if you created a channel to do a VR that would be an incredible honour 😍
Love this tag 🙏 I found these discussions soooo interesting. I filmed my VR last week as well so I will post soon. Can't wait to see everyone else's as well. Thanks so much for sharing 😊Xxx
I look forward to seeing it 😍
Love your cave space. Need a Hermit’s touch in my space! New to tarot and love that I found your channel. Thanks for all you do
Thank you 🙏🏻❤️
What a fabulous tag/video, Simon! I really enjoyed this. There are already a boatload of videos to catch-up on after my hiatus, but I‘m looking forward to see all the VRs. 🍀💛📿🙋🏻♀️
There’s quite a few! I’ve struggled to keep up! 😍
This is actually extraordinary! Amazing insights into what tarot has to offer. There is no doubt that Tarot has given me structure and has opened doors of perception. It saved me during the pandemic. I don’t have a channel but I may post some responses on IG!
That’d be wonderful, thank you! 🙏🏼❤️
I love hearing you talk about tarot. You can hear your love for it. I am very new to tarot, and divination as a whole. I work to undo some deep rooted religious programing and your videos help me become more confident in my choice to explore a variety of divination tools.
Been there too! You’ll get there my friend 🙏🏻
Loved this - I have to run some errands and then I’ll be back to participate. How fun! 🌺
Fantastic! I’ll look forward to it! 😍
What a great tag. 😁 Liked your approach to the significator/spread. Always a joy to watch 👍
I’ve never participated in a VR, but this one might be the one I jump into :) loved this! And I couldn’t make out what the latest deck you purchased is. But oh I love the looks of that deck! I’ll see if you have done a review of it. Thank you, Simon. I always love your videos.
Yes it’s the Fortuna Opal edition. I have a walkthrough 🙏🏼
This was fantastic Simon, I loved every minute. Can't wait to see more people's VR's
Me too! Thank you for watching 😍
This was a great video. I love to hear your stories, it's like I get to know you better. Patrick Valenza is one of my favorite artists. His decks are incredible. Great choice!
Gaaaahhhh! Lazy pips. They are my bane too. Will definitely be doing this tag too.
Can’t wait to see it, Sarah! 😍
@@the_hermits_cave Thanks, Simon. Will make sure to tag you when I do.
Thanks so much, as always, Simon! This is a wonderful way to get back into touch with your practice. I look forward to participating. As someone who is new to the Tarot Tube world, creators like you are the inspiration for us newbies. 😁 This is really thought-provoking. Thanks for your continuous contribution to our community!
Aaaw thank you! I look forward to seeing your VR. 😍
Great video Simon, always interesting to see some of your favourite decks and hear about your journey in tarot. I bought Loreen's deck having watched your videos on it, it's so beautiful!
It really is, and Loreen is so lovely 😊
I so enjoyed this and what amazing dinner guests! That would be so lovely to. Thank you 🙏🏼
Fun tag -- thank you for this, Simon.
Thanks for watching, Beth 😍
Thanks so much for this Simon. I loved hearing more about your journey with tarot, and found myself answering out loud "yes, me too !!" quite a few times to various things you said. And I'll never forget that it's thanks to your channel that I discovered Tarotube 🙏.
Aaaw thank you 🙏🏼 ❤️
Lovely to spend my Friday morning watching and listening to this. Thank you for sharing, Simon. 💙🌙
You’re welcome lovely! I’m hope you are doing okay ❤️
Another wonderful conversation, I felt like I was sitting in your living room, thank you Simon. Currently longtime far from home and upon departure did hastily grab two decks, Tarot Mucha and Crowley Thoth which I now use on rotation at the end of each day to rest my mind for a good nights sleep 💤
I’m so pleased you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching 😉
I knew pixie would be your guest of honour. She’d be mine too. I’ve learnt she lived in Manchester briefly in Didsbury but it’s impossible to find out where. I hope she would know how much we all love her work…
I really hope she does too!
You can NEVER have enough RWS.. I don't like ruining my cards, and they're made of card!
They're all a treasure ❤️
I am so sorry for your loss. Hearing you speak about her was heart breaking.
Thanks for all you do. Thanks for being “you”. Will do this tag too. Hugs from the Netherlands
I really enjoyed watching this Simon, it really made me think about my own tarot practice! What a cool tag, will be interesting to see the VR's to this, feel half tempted to create a channel and do a VR myself 😆😆 I love your videos, and appreciate the thought and effort you put in, thank you 🙌💙
Oooh please do! That’d be amazing! 😍
Love this tag and your responses. You are going to have a line at your front door to crash that dinner party!!! 💜💜💜
🤣
listening to your video while I write in my BOS and eat carrot sticks lmao LOVE IT!!
Absolutely wonderful. I could listen to you all day. I loved your tarot dinner party guests - Deviant Moon one of my favourites. How did you choose / discover your Significator card? Is there a numerology system?
It was the card I felt most matched my personality, and then when I did the myers briggs personality test I couldn’t believe it was the page of cups! Affirmation right there! 😍
@@the_hermits_cave Thank you so much for the information. I am very pleased to have found your website and shall contact you soon for a reading. I love your work and your kindness and your gentleness. You have given me deep solace at a difficult time.
Love your vlogs 🧙♀️I do tend to go oracle because I struggle to read all the miners x
Another memorable evening, thank you Simon
Hello! I’m new to Tarot Tube and just found your channel. I would enjoy participating in this fun tag! Thank you for sharing. ☺️🔮💫
Thanks for subscribing! Let me know if you do 😍
@@the_hermits_cave Thank you! I will ☺
Love your personal journal of the things you believe in. Where did you learn or research info on the personality types like your Page of Cups? Really enjoyed your video.
This is great Simon 😊
Thank you 🙏🏼
Simon thank you for making this!
it would be so helpful for you to list the decks you’ve featured in the video description box below, and link if possible/. honestly I enjoy the convenience of clicking a link but I can search myself but the name of the decks are necessary to be able to search them. Especially with your vast RWS collection Simon, you’ve so many versions of RWS, it can get difficult if we don’t know the precise name of the version.
If not in the description box, maybe a text in the screen of video itself?
I had no idea there were so MANY versions, indie, mass market, print on demand, etc. thank you for sharing so many with us!
Which deck didn’t I mention by name? I thought I had mentioned each one I showed?
This was so much fun, Simon!! And looking forward to everyone's responses! Tempted to do one myself though it might take me some time to put it together 😅 Thank you for sharing 😊🙌
Let me know if you do! 😉
Thank you for your insights and use of tarot x
Thanks for sharing this was awesome!
Greetings
You put a smile on my face talking about Tarot. I want to purchase the antiqued IJJ Swiss. You mentioned that it was still available.
Yes, on MPC 😍
I can’t wait to do this Simon! 💗💗 x
And I can’t wait to see it, my friend! 😍
@@the_hermits_cave I’m going to do it this morning 😍
Thank you Simon🙏 I thoroughly enjoyed your video! I love the 1JJ Swiss too. it is my favourite Marseilles type deck. I use the Pitisci 1JJ Swiss all the time. What are your thoughts on Dreams of Gaia? It's been in my shopping bag online for ages and I cannot decide on whether to get it or not... I think I will to scratch the itch if you know what I mean. Anyway, enough of my ramblings, great video! I am now off to film my VR which I will post next week. Have a fabulous weekend 😊PS. Your tarot tiles are simply stunning!
Thank you! I love dreams of Gaia, I prefer the card stock of the pocket edition, but I would say the big book the full size tarot deck is a must!
Merci Simon 😊 Have a beautiful day!
thank you as always Simon. This was a lot of fun to watch. You know what you said about Rachel Pollack - how you could listen to her endlessly & not get bored? That's how I feel about you 😊🥰
Aaawww thank you for that, that really does mean a lot to me! 🙏🏻❤️
OMG no way 4 years ago you did the interview with Patrick. I can't believe it was that long ago it is just ridiculous how the years pass so quickly it was such a great conversation to watch 🖤🌚🖤
I know, right. I remember it like it was yesterday 😍
thank you and much love
Oooh I think I’m going to do my very first VR. I’ve wanted to start a RUclips channel for a few years but my introverted nature has been a huge barrier. After encouragement from the lovely Jen at Jen’s Balanced Tarot I took the plunge a couple of weeks ago. I’ve mainly been focused on an in depth study of Poppy Palin’s Everday Enchantment tarot. I don’t have fancy filming equipment, just my mobile phone and LumaFusion for editing but I’m having fun. I’m looking forward to everyone’s VR’s.
That’d be awesome! All I use is an iPhone. It’s all you need 😍
Oh my god simon you made me laugh saying about Celtic cross I was thinking only am the one in the tarot world hehe you so cute love listening about your tarot decks good one 💖
Thank you. Are you going to play along?
@@the_hermits_cave may be yes
I’ll look forward to it 😍
@@the_hermits_cave 💖
I had to pause the video because the line, “I haven’t done a Celtic Cross since 1987” had me laughing out loud. I’m not sure if it’s my perv brain or the pain meds. Ha!
🤣 🤣 🤣
I used to put my decks under my pillow too! Now I just smoke them. Sometimes I get several in a week, it's easier to smoke.
Hello Wonderful Simon, I Wanted you To Know What A Blessing You Are. I Did A VR To All About Tarot I Hope You Enjoy Love You.
Oooh can’t wait to watch. Thank you 🙏🏼
Ooh, this is juicy, Simon! I haven’t responded to a tag in ages, I may have to jump on this. It’s like the good old days! 😁
Right? I really wanted some of that energy back! Would love to see a VR from your good self, Brian! 😍
I dove in! Great tag, thanks Simon. ruclips.net/video/arGt5CgeD6w/видео.html
This is great, Simon! I can't wait to see all the responses as they appear. It's funny, I was just wondering about your gorgeous Christmas leather binder/grimoire and how that was going and... ta-da! Thank you for that timely update. It's lovely, perfectly arranged and kept beautifully, as totally expected. Do you oil the leather or use saddle soap or anything on it to keep/increase it's suppleness? Just curious, it may not need that at all.
Anyway, all 13 prompts were interesting and I did watch all of it, of course! That Pixie's Whisper is looking better every time I see it. Thanks Simon!
Not needed it yet, would you recommend it?
@@the_hermits_cave I'm not sure. Normally, if it were a purse or something I would say yes, even if it's just once a year. Can you call the shop and see if it's been treated with something already?
Really enjoyed this Simon, the tarot community is great, I've learned a lot from other tubers and formed friendships from all over the world. I think though out of everybody you were the first channel I visited when I wondered if there was anyone else enjoyed tarot as much as me, you are the father figure of our community so bless you Simon and please keep up with your wonderful videos 😘💗🙏
That’s lovely of you to say, and I’ve always valued your support 🙏🏻❤️
This is my first VR so I hope I did the tag correctly! 🌺 that was fun!
You sure did! It was so much fun, also discovered you did the Workhorse tag you! 🙏🏼❤️
@@the_hermits_cave oh my goodness - I forgot that I did the work horse tag! LOL!
Hi Simon, what are the soul/sol decks that you mentioned combining and using together as decks to read for clients? Thanks man💙
Soul Cards 1&2 by Deborah Koff Chapin
Gentleman💙🙏
Simon, where did you find the Moonlight Oracle? I can't find it anywhere for sale. Thank you.
Brant my friend made it from a PDF online
Loved this video! Thank you for sharing 🥰
Thank YOU, for doing a response 😍
Is it too late for me to respond to this? hahah I'm going to try to get it done BEFORE the end of 2022
Not at all. The internet is forever 😉
So Simon are you a Piscean?
No I’m a Libran 😍
Glad you're staying hydrated (and I hope the rest of y'all are too!)! Much appreciation and respect to you for offering this tag to discover and even boost new channels! In general, I've always appreciated this community for keeping the art of VRs alive, but it's always neat to see targeted community-building like this. 🤖🖤
Thank you 🙏🏻❤️
Would you happen to know what card would be for an INFJ?
Queen of Cups 😍
Thoroughly enjoyed this Simon. It's been a while so thanks to Meg @HoneyRoseRitual for bringing me back here. I didn't get in on the first round of New Choice and just ordered the new edition. I will respond tomorrow. All the best 😊
I’ll look forward to it, thank you for watching, Sadhana 🙏🏼❤️
