      Are you trying to touch the life of other people with God’s plan in mind? Are you seeking His help every step of the way? Are you seeking Him first? Are you impacting the lives of others with the sole purpose of bringing glory to God?
      How are you defining success? The part that this clip leaves out is that life your life is about God - and God wants you to help others. Life is not merely about helping others. Start with God; do not start with helping others. It should take a while to do part 1.
      You were created special with a purpose. Have you figured that out yet? If not, seek God, and He will give you the desires in your heart, and those desires will align with your purpose.
      None of this says it is easy; but the hard parts are sin based. Jesus’ yoke is crazy strong to make up for our weakness.

      Hard times are made to toughen us up, and God always makes bad times to encourage us to rely on him in the time of need, because any parent know that you should never ever give your children everything that they ask for because they sometimes don't know what they want and they might ask for a something that might be detrimental to them,
      That's what God does,he sees actions and decisions we possibly can't see and he knows better than us about what we want and what we need,
      If God gave us everything we want when we want it, we would become either spoiled with no gratitude to what God is giving us or crazy beyond repair,
      Jesus christ never offered us a life of certainty and of peace and of ease and just relax all day, Jesus never told us he will take our problems and solve them himself instantly,
      He offered us a life of suffering and of pain and of hardship and of problems, but through all of that he will be with us to strengthen us,
      And when he comes back in the last day which is sooner than we expect, there will be a resurrection of the dead and only the righteous who were disciples of Jesus christ will enter the kingdom of God.

But Neale told me that the universe is listening to your every word (if that's hard to accept, in NLP you could say that your subconscious mind is listening). All the time you say "I don't get it" that's exactly what happens. Open up to getting "it"; Understanding, health, wealth and happiness.

    My brother thinks it’s all about god. He turns his back on anyone not in his sect. Believers are still confused and come up with the darndest distortions. This might be one of the best interpretations. But one doesn’t have to believe in a god to come to this conclusion.

    • @Bboyd88
      @Bboyd88 2 года назад +1

      But one does have to believe in God to live out this conclusion.
      People who do not believe in God do not have a reason for being selfless in the long-term. Bursts of altruism mixed with depression and nihilism is not sustainable; when that altruism is smashed to bits by someone who also doesn't believe in God but doesn't take the altruistic conclusion, what mindset and learned behaviors does the non-God-fearing altruist take in the long run? REALLY. Not what you'd hope happens.. not what you could do if you were happy-go-lucky for 50 years of your life. What would really happen to an altruistic human being if deep down they knew nothing mattered to anyone (and from their perspective, they'd see people who believed in God as it being a fantasy they encountered for decades? For those not believing in God, this conclusion is a mere fleeting thought before they move on to the next 'thing that matters'.
      The exclusivity of God is due to logic. If one thing is true, the other thing also cannot be true. The universe is a happy accident and did not need a god to form it is a polar opposite of God creating the universe and creating you for a purpose. Both statements cannot be true. One belief set leads down one road (lawlessness, altruism, nihilism, everyone figuring their own way -- and not in bad way, but because what other option is there?), and the other has people drawing near to God.
      This is not a condemnation - it's just what is. Think it through rationally - there's two sets of people - one that say they believe in God (and the conclusions that follow), and a set that say they don't (and the conclusions that follow). That part should be simple.
      And idk what your bro is doing. Ask him if whatever god he's serving is telling him to turn his back on others, or if he's just protecting his young faith. Turning your back is literally the opposite of turning the other cheek... It's certainly not what God wants -- for example, where in this chain does it look like God is telling people to turn your back on others? -- Abraham->Jews->prophets->Jews->Jesus->apostles->Jews-> Gentiles... everyone. To me it looks like more of a reaching out... but he could see it differently...

      @@Bboyd88 I have been a non-believer for my entire life. In my late thirties I realized that merely not believing in something left me to agonize in various social interactions. So I decided to search for the origins of morality one day at a time.
      Fast forward to today, more than 40 years later. In a nutshell, morality is an evolved genetic product of man. Only conscious beings have purpose, and it is part a social proclivity (love, survival, etc) and part conscious choice. Like any genetic-based organism, we have to evolve to survive in a changing environment. Without random genetic variability, we couldn’t evolve. So everyone is different. But the need to understand our environment is in all those who survive. So there is a variable social instinct in people. Some choose an anthropomorphic god, and some figure it out by themselves. All are imperfect, so both groups exhibit about the same imperfections in their moral fabric. And that’s also influenced be their upbringing and environment. So you find amoral believers and amoral non- believers. I can attest that most non-believers do believe in something, it’s just more of a rational choice than opening up one book and finding a passage that appears to approve what you’ve already decided to do. And you can find any set of antithetical passages, one of which serves your needs.
      So having said this, I at least partly agree with your narrative, might disagree partly, but at least you can understand where I’m coming from. Have a good day.

    • @Bboyd88
      @Bboyd88 2 года назад

      @@audistik1199 Thanks for the explanation. I appreciate your shared wisdom and experience. I question your morality in a nutshell summary.
      Genetic evolutions take place over time that is unfathomable. In my own experience, I'm a poor judgment of passing time in my lifetime - I assume that what any estimation of time beyond that is even further off. With that said, in our timeline we have recorded history. In our recorded history, we have mythology, religions, and claims of divinity.
      The word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword. It divides plainly. It is not a reference to grandiose or broad general statements about cosmological events, nor is it a self-help book, nor is it. In our timeline, in history, a man came claiming to be the son of God. This man came from the group of people whom followed a certain way of life which was God inspired. The group of people had him killed. He made a claim of resurrection and history records evidence of that resurrection, and the subsequent explosion of the Way. What do you do with that information? Who do you say Jesus is? This isn't asking what other groups of people say or their reasons for it. Who do YOU say he is? This is not a general statement about evolution and morality. This is not a discussion about groups of people, whether moral or amoral, believer or non-believer. This is a personal decision to look at the historical evidence and claims and decide if you believe what you see. It is not a broad sweeping statement or looking to serve your needs referencing a religious text of olden times. It was and always has been God trying to reach people and leaving a legacy text to show people how much He cares for us and why things are the way they are. Our free will leaves a TON of behavioral variability.
      All that is to say, you gotta decide about this historical claim of Jesus. Don't decide based on what other groups of people do. They don't have to answer for your beliefs.
      Life gets messy after you make the faith jump (not like a blind leap of faith -- that is not what God calls us to do... it's one small enough for a child to make) to believe and begin to apply it, as you struggle against yourself, habits, other viewpoints, etc., but you do it with God and with a family of believers who all share in the struggle against ourselves and our spiritual poverty (by grace through faith we are saved, not of our works) that is fulfilled only by God (by design).

      @@Bboyd88 I read the Bible and if you take the Old Testament literally you have to believe that your god is a monster. As for Jesus there’s no real proof that he even existed but I am open minded on that. Regardless, even if he did, most any book of fiction other than science fiction or fantasy includes real places and historical facts and there’s no reason for me to believe he rose from the dead and all the other miraculous embellishments. But even then I can see that the message is inspirational and, allowing for some 2000 year old social differences his message is good, and in many if not most instances it tracks with my secular morality. My main difference is about him being a deity, or the “son” of one. So I don’t demean your path of morality. People who live their morality and don’t use it as a cudgel to abase non-believers or condescend and scold them based on their own false assumptions about non-religious people do disgust me. This type of person isn’t following The lessons of Jesus. My brother has become a Jehovah’s Witness, and is supposed to shun anyone not in his sect. They have a thick book of how to interpret the Bible, essentially completely perverting much of its message. Their focus is not how to live as much at is to worship.
      I’d say you really have no idea about what a non-believer thinks and feels. When you know this is the only life you get you are highly motivated to make the best of it. You come to accept your mortality as natural and come to make peace with that. You’re just as motivated to make sense of life and ponder the nature of morality, and think rationally. I’ve done that and I feel more at peace with myself and confident in my beliefs than ever before. I’ve studied Buddhism and have learned to live in the moment. I’ve drawn wisdom from many disciplines and found the real roots of morality in science. Our evolution into a social being inspires me to do good and be good. Society allows us to specialize and we gain far more from it than we could do on our own. These people who think “Freedom” means we have no obligation to do acts that promote the common good like get vaccinated don’t have a clue. I can understand the person who might be concerned about life threatening side effects but now that’s been shown to be far less than the risks of Covid but those who believe in conspiracy theories are reprehensible.
      So I have decided about the historical claim of Jesus. And I considered it logically, scientifically, metaphysically, and by observing nature with an open mind. There’s no Supernatural. It’s all natural. And it’s just as beautiful as moving as your god.
