god damn i love these videos. i'll share a fun story about the world at war mp40: many, many years ago when i was a shithead teenager i was active on a call of duty fan forum when the cod5 beta went live, and i got in, and i got to share feedback. that led to me getting into an argument with a treyarch community rep because i thought the guns (especially the mp40) sounded like crap, and i had this unique position to argue with someone who had anything to say about it. i have no idea if the sound was actually changed, but i *felt* like it was and that was good enough for me. god bless being a dumb teenager.
To be fair that is the type of feedback they would want. As CODdoes not use the real sounds of guns like the "newer" Battlefeild games do so they have the freedom to make it more cinematic. So if it sounded or looked bad they would want to know.
It’s probably been mentioned a bunch in the comments but the MP40 was going to be a final hidden killstreak in the original Black Ops but never made it into the full game. Would’ve been sick to run around with an OP MP40 in BO1 Multiplayer
I think a nice addition to this series that I would appreciate would be making chapters since sometimes I’m a bit tight on time and sometimes there’s just games in a franchise I don’t really have time or care for
I wonder if he'd include the an-94 and kn since those are kinda ak like and the an 94 was meant to replace the ak-47 but was deemed too complicated so it's in limited use. Also just cause I think the an 94 is a neat gun.
Get this man a million subs! We need content like this, to the point, yet not compressed. Humor isn’t ever absent but isn’t overdone. And the editing isn’t too fast or slow. Literally everything I like in a channel LNG has!
Here’s my mp40 hot take. The cod 3 mp40 is my favorite, I really enjoy the animation work and sound effects. It’s probably because cod 3 was my first but still. It’s the best in my eyes
Cod 3 was always the most underrated to me. The Campaign was excellent especially since Treyarh gave the background characters actual personalities which made me somewhat care for them. The animations tho stiff were still charming and satisfying to watch.
I think an interesting video could be on the history of the MG42 in CoD. That gun is in so many games that it doesn’t make sense for it to be in, but it’s always a fun gun
Some fun little bits about the Vanguard MP40 You can turn it into the MP41 with a barrel and stock attachment It's not being held in a C-Clamp it's just being held by the magwell, which is a much better place to hold than the magazine as it could jam.
@Impracticality Idiot devs would rather change historical firerates, y'know the thing the MG42 was literally made famous for for horrible balancing reasons.
BO3 the HG-40 makes sense to have the HK slap as the cut out for the bolt works and it fictional, but on the MP-40 it hurts cause you can't HK slap it. Vanguard I can get passed how its held cause the Reload animation was just perfect.
The Vanguard MP40 isn't held incorrectly. The operator is holding it by the magwell, which is actually how you're supposed to hold it. A proper C-clamp would have the thumb directly over the barrel, not on an angle. Holding it by the magazine itself like in the older games is actually the worst possible way to hold it since you run a moderately high risk of jamming the weapon.
I'd love to see more of the cod vids!!! I'd like to recommend a few, the Thompson, m1 garand, ppsh-41,mosin, trench gun, k98k, and stg-44. Just a few!!
Honestly the production quality on these videos and the clear comfort you have in this position give this a very professional feeling, you're definitely making it to the big leagues in terms of RUclips

I’ll definitely look forward to watching ur Halo videos tho Edit: Even tho I don’t play it, you forgot to show love to cod mobiles HG-40. Call of Duty, COD United Offensive (expansion pack) and COD 2. Those were my games! I'd still be playing it if I had a gaming system. I haven't played video games in at least 10 years.

In addition to focusing on individual weapons, I'd love to see you explore in more detail the overall sandboxes of the games and how the weapons interacted together. In any case, good luck with your branching out!

Vanguards MP40 animations are fucking hilarious. One of the most famous videos of the thing shooting is of a 90 year old woman effortlessly shooting one in a wheelchair, the animations while using a clamp hold make it look like its firing .30 rounds.
While the og cod ww2 games were fantastic my favorite was Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and it’s expansions Spearhead and Breakthrough. I wish they would somehow remaster or re-release them on consoles.
WaW and Black ops as my favorite version of this weapon. With that, if you wanna mix things up on the PC version of Black ops 3, there are a few weapon pack mods for black ops 1, 2, and WaW with this lil number included, Though be warned, some of the mod creators changed the PaP names with rather tasteless and crude ones.
@@LateNightHalo For a more complete and mature version, I recommend the Zombies Experience Mod, It gives you the pick of the litter with all black ops series weapons from 1 to 4, and for WaW there are a few decent, all be it janky, packs for them without any of the childish humor. Ngl the Vanguard MP40 *in my opinion* was so close to my favorite version of the gun, all it needed was the operator to hold it by the magazine like the WAW versions and it would have been perfect.
You should do evolution of the AK47 in call of duty, just because i wanna see how many times they reused the same reload animation, i remember atleast 4-5 times, probably more since i haven't played the new ones.
Personally I love the Call of Duty 3 MP40. It's my favorite iteration. The reload animations aren't perfect, but the sound effects are meaty and the model itself is the best looking one to me. It looks like what it really is. A cheap, but effective smg. The recoil feels about right for a slow 9mm smg too. It's also one of the few iterations that actually utilizes the stock.
I actually agree. I think it's the most accurate and best sounding version, but all the versions up until Blacks Ops 1 are good ones. Blacks Ops 1 was actually the last cod ive played, but the modern versions sound really poor imo and the fire rate is too high. I don't now whats going on with modern games but imo weapon sounds keep getting worse and less satisfying. In any case, fantastic video.
Would love to see an evolution of the MP44/STG44. It's legit the gun that made me fall in love with COD when I played COD 3 back in 2007. I never played COD 1 and 2 so it would be cool to see how it evolved from the first games by IW
one tidbit of information: though it does look like the operator has a c-clamp in vanguard, they are actually just hold their thumb over the side of the gun, while the rest of their fingers rest on the magazine well. If it was a c-clamp grip, then we would be able to see the player characters fingers poking up over the right side of the gun
It's also worth noting that since the MP40 is available in Warzone and that Modern Warfare and Cold War operators can use it, this would make sense that they would use the C Clamp tactic.
I always liked having an MP40 around as a back pocket gun in the first two games to help get out of sticky situations in campaign. Never really used it in mp until WaW, but was still a good holdout smg as far as I was concerned. Kinda wish someone would remaster the og games though.

@@LateNightHalo if you do end up making this video, I hope you include the executioner from Black Ops 2 because it's honestly one of my favorite revolvers in gaming. It doesn't follow the normal revolver Archetype but it's honestly super sick
the MP40s always been my favorite SMG in the franchise (atleast for ww2 SMGs) especially the world at war and black ops 1 iteration. the AW version is great too if you can actually get it from those accursed supply drops, and was pretty good in black ops 3 zombies as well (even if it just reused the HG40s sounds and animations)
if you don't mind a suggestion, would you do the AK-47 assault rifle for next COD evolution video please (after the M4A1)?
Been wating for this video
