I stopped writing when I was in my early twenties. I began when I was 12 or 13, and for eight short years I wrote at a very prolific pace; writing sometimes three of four projects at a time. But I was too young; I did not know anything about life, no experience, and I really knew nothing about writing other than the stuff that was in my mind. I'm in my early 30s now, and I've picked up my pen again, working on the first iteration to my debut novel, a long non-secular juggernaut of a story. I'm very excited.
Great! Gonna watch it for sure. Can we get a Cinematographer at some point? Someone talking about Light (the physics), F-Stops, Lighting, Diffusion etc. someone like Hoyte van Hoytema or Bruno Delbonnel? That would be so great.
@@danilogondim9300 Well there are so many videos about the way he´s lighting. Also i´d love to see the next generation of great cinematographers teaching stuff. Don´t get me wrong, Roger Deakins is a genius, but it´s been said so much about him already. :-)
@@AdamSed64 oh wow thank you so much for asking. To be honest I have many things to say, but the most important is this ‘write whenever you feel inspired because that can be the biggest work of art you ever produce’.
In Walter's masterclass, he specifically advised that if you're younger, you might want to give yourself more time because it's not a race. He said ages 30-40 is just the right age to be a writer. At 34, he had already done many things and been through a lot of experiences and writing felt to him more like a full experience.

It is so encouraging to know that he actually started at 34 years old. It is not too "late" for most of us.
yes it is because alot of people want to already be established before 30, but everyone has their own pace

Walter is underrated in the writing department of MasterClass. I think his class is one of the most encouraging and inspiring out there.
Writing every day is such an essential part of a writer's success.

What about the master Roger Denkins?

Walter Mosley... The greatest novelist of all time... 📖✍🏾
Hes a captivating author. I so love his books. He’s got great characters.
Love Walter Mosley books.
This is so encouraging. I am a 22 year old writer and I’m trying to discover more about this path
I'm only 16 and ever since I was 9-10 I've always wanted to be a writer, Do you have any advice for me as a senior?

MY FAVORITE AUTHOR
Good stuff Masterclass!
This is my literary idol.
You should get Brandon Sanderson for fantasy and worldbuilding
He already has a class on RUclips for free
What sort of pens are he using there? They look so dark and expressive and inky!!
I love this trailer!!
What is he speaking about at the end? It has been muted.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What kinds of pens does he use? I’m so enraptured.
I noticed the same thing!! Anyone??
glad to see i am not the only one who noticed the pencil. its so sharp. i zoomed in just to see the brand to no avail.

They might be brush pens. I think they’re used for calligraphy.
