Tricity has the same airport..It's just the civil airport entrance was changed (from Chd side to Mohali) post renovation of new airport terminal since 2011. You should have taken a left for Chandigarh when you took right to kharar-Bhanur road. Chd (COCO pump) was less than approx. 3kms from the point you turned right. A suggestion: I think the best is to identify a land mark in city (for eg : a COCO pump) and add a destination in between 2 points in G-maps to re-route. I have seen this often happening in your case you wish to do something extra and then miss it by just by 2-3 kms. 😂. No worries it happens with me too 😉.
yes, I learned that it's a single airport...my cousin told me once I came back...I followed Google and it took me on that route but I have now made a mental note for whenever I am on this route again...
