Modern tanks would obliterate the 40k tanks that’s the funniest part. 40 thousand years later and building worse tanks than the 2nd millennium. If you want to see something seemingly impossible look up the LOSAT. It was an American Missile weapon system mounted to land vehicles that fires a 76kg missile at Mach 5 made out of tungsten or uranium. Too this day that weapon system could rip any tank basically in half.
@@Evathedefiler unless some of them have armor that can’t be penetrated yeah. They don’t have advanced fire control systems that would be needed for long range combat like modern tanks do.
You guys know these tanks are absolutely dreadful designs right? The Shadowsword seems to be the only main battle tank here that looks feasible. Some are so huge they would sink a meter in the dirt if it ever stopped unless it was on mostly rocky terrain

If you were to look at the WWI and post WWI tanks you would recognize some of these as actual concept vehicles of the 1920’s that failed. Yet… here is the hilarious part… they actually built tanks similar to these in the 1920’s and early 1930’s….. The Soviets - the RedArmy- actually built a 4 story tall tank that looks like a “Bigwheel” 3 wheeled child’s toy! For real! Can you just imagine? It drove 18 meters on the proving grounds then sank in the mud and rusted in place. 90 years later… it’s still there! So… maybe I am being a bit too critical but yea, these tanks are death traps. - get this… the French post World War 1 tanks were so bad they were shipped off to the Majnot Line - a series of fortifications on their eastern border- and cemented them into the ground. Totally useless! When the Germans attacked France in WWII with the Blitzkrieg form of offense, they simply drove past them out of range!

During the great crusade the space marine legions operated super heavy tanks, artillery, and more. Afterwards those chapters derived directly from the old legions inherited many examples.
Techpriests rather go back to being 100% organic than to agree, but at least that giant mechanic monster tries to do something other than molesting toasters.
The Emperor Protects
Yes, he does.
Not really
And so does several inches of cermaite wouldn’t hurt either
Seems like about half of these belong to the imperial guard and not the space marines
Say what you want about the Primarus, but the Astraeus is a beast!
GW obviously have a massive hardon for Sturmtigers and Brummbars. What is quite ridiculous according to poor real battle viability of said vehicles.

Doubt SM still uses that many super heavies in 40k, especially Capitol Imperialis
Capitol Imperialis is likely still in use by the Imperial Guard. But being more of an HQ/command center its likely not very common.

Baneblade is for the imperial guard, the vehicle’s in the video are for space marines.
