What an incredible voice Eric Burdon had as a young man , I sometimes wonder if he still has it . Any positive comments are welcome .I'll be 75 in 3hrs and I am listening to this because of fond memories .
Just tuned in! Happy 75th 1/2 Birthday! This song brings back happy memories for me too - amazing how music can transport us! Many, many happy returns!
Sounds like a happy youth. Wish I had seen all those awesome bands of the 60s. Fortunately, some of them still play
Ich liebe diese wundervolle Stimme und diese schöne Musik! Danke dafür! ❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤
The reason they are called rock stars: They created the absolute joy of living for us then that we relive 60 years later... It's so worth being old now because we lived those magical days the world will never see again.
Yes,this was what my brother always play in his drums before Vietnam.but I Red feather salutes him and all Veterans today . Blessings Embraces Bearhugs salud Saludos de Carino ,Que padre nuestro glorious Jesus nos cuided siempre Besos fuerte Abrazos, Bendisones Amen

So true 👍 better than the crap music of today
You're so right! We were youngs at the right time
Eric Burdon, epitome of cool, no one else comes close.
Yes, agree, totally effortless 👍
This is because he’s not even trying…that’s how they are cool instead of stuck up/cocky.
So so true‼️
No, Freddie Mercury

For such a young man I thought he had so much soul and loved his rough voice.
O nome é voz crua grave.
Absolutely!!!
Still with us. 80 years old- with a 40 year old wife!
So sexy........Loved this group.❤
Eric is still with us. 80 Y.O. with a 40 Y.O. wife. Guess he is sexy ;)@@sharonmullins1957

@@lakrone1 it was something else. Parties, girls and more girls.
@@lakrone1 No love. Now you don't miss it as we do. The music was wonderful.
This is the best cover of Sam Cooke's version I've ever heard. The Animals sound as cool and bluesy now as they did in the sixties. They will never die!!!!
Great band, Eric Burdon was 'soulful' and 'easy!'
Sitting here listening to this song at 73 years old I remember it like it was yesterday great song great band thanks for the video
Same here , Great Music Always And There On SPOTIFY 👍💯👍💯🎯🎯🎯
Oh , And they were So Great 👍👍👍 , but the beatles and the stones had more than enough of a following then??? And I Have Never UnderStood WHY!!! But Always Been MissUnderStood!!!

me too 73 and still think we had the best music ever.....oh yes and Eric is so cool...
Eric’s voice is so powerful and timeless
Love this , play over and over.

The only group I Always Still Listen To , and some of my favorites , Floyd , Zeppelin , Allen Parsons , Metallica!!! ROCK ON!!!
True that
You can't say we didn't have the best music back in the day.
If the Animals were singing it, then it was the best!
This is one of the best versions of this great song. Eric Burdon is underrated.
Aha, the underrated card. It seems to me it is present in every deck. Burdon is not underrated.
I often tell people I am glad I grew up in the 50s and 60s we had freedom to be kids! Play after chores are done be home when street lights came on. Having the best music! Youth isn't wasted on the young! So many good memories! Eric burdons music is the best! Joe South too! So many talented singers! GODBLESS THEM AND ALL OF US!
Полностью согласна! Время было прекрасное!
Surely one of the coolest bands of all time!
thy are not bands i am 77 in my day thy where called pop groups.
I watched them for the first time tonight. No Eric etc but John was still bashing away on the drums still after 67 years of it.
The Animals are one of the most underrated bands ever. In fact, they are one of the best. They deserve their just due.
I am 70 and oh wow love this old band.best blues ever
I think they’re fantastic too my only difference is I think this particular song was done better by the righteous Brothers
You’re not joking. Eric’s voice is legendary, crazy pipes 💛
200 times better than U2 pink Floyd pearl jam Jackson Red Hot chilli ass wholes
@@forsurefurshur9727 It is not just Eric though. this is one aspect on which they are underrated. they are all great.
I'm 79 this year when i here his music seems like im in my teens in the sixties loving it .xm🎶❤🎶❤🎶❤
It’s a shame how Eric Burdon has been overlooked when he was clearly one of the greatest singers of all time in rock and blues.
he wasn't overlooked by me
@@sieghartrohr Nor me. In fact I think Eric has clearly got a whole new audience when others of the era are being left behind.
It is 1:30 AM, should be asleep but here I am listening to Eric Burdon. What an awesome voice- - so soulful and the song sexy and romantic at the same time. What lyrics! I was a young teen when I first heard it. Wonderful time to be alive back then, well at least for me 😌.
Yeah - these rabbit holes are detrimental to sleep.
He keeps me up all the time too
I was 13 great era !

Brilliant! What more can I say in 2023. This was a golden era in music that will forever be with me.
I hate the shit music today. Rap is crap.
Eric Burdon is one of the best voices of any group from the '60s. Certainly in a class of his own.
Love the Animals. They have made some fantastic songs and to this day I still listen and love their music. They are AWESOME ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Mrs. H. Here
I was fortunate enough to see Eric Burdon live today in San Francisco. He still sounds absolutely amazing.
What a great group!
One of the best groups in the history of music.
So many people who speak Eric Burdon's language say good things which are difficult to repeat!
We love ya Eric Burdon, and thank you for all the great music you brought to our homes, you'll live on forever.
Hi there... How are you doing? Hope you are fine and staying safe???
Eric is probably the most....I don't know how to express it....but he is the most casual singer I have ever heard with the most awesome voice...he looks like it takes no effort but truly conveys atruely mystical depth of feeling
That’s what I love too! He stands there so nonchalantly but the sound of his voice gives me goosebumps!
@Col. George S. Patton, Sr. I love this! Thanks :)
Wow WTG nailed it ! I get caught up by him
Not to take anything away from him or the group, but he could look as casual as he wanted as he was only miming so no real effort needed.
just love his voice x
In my view the Animals were one of the most important bands of the 60's era. They sang about the issues of the day in a gutsy uncompromising style. Whether it was blues or rock their music is relevant today , timeless in its quality and depth. Like other reviewers I agree they were underrated and too 'in ya face' to be liked by the popular press.
They were mainly a covers band tbh. Still quality though.
@@danielward7008 ahahha animals a cover band. you don't even know what it means being a cover band.
@@LiLit8LiliTu Most of their biggest hits were covers you idiot.
@@danielward7008 this doesn't make them a cover band. Great musicians must always be able to play and reinterpret the music it represents them. With this logic every blues singer is basically a cover singer?
@@danielward7008 you sound like a very stupid guy(I'm being polite) apart from being unbelievably ignorant.
Can't get enough of this song. Great band, great guy.
Hi there... How are you doing? Hope you are fine and staying safe???
A lot of singers have sang this song over the years, BUT Eric was, is, and still is the BEST!
Great singer, but Sam Cooke will forever have the greatest version of this song
The animals = Sam Cooke. They are both perfect. :) When I listen to one, I am obliged to hear the other. :)
Sam Cooke the best ever dude
...y e s...he is !!!!
Sam cook was the Best
What a voice and what a great stage presence. Eric is awesome.
I danced with my mum on this song last fridayevening. My mum and dad used to dance on this song. My dad died on the 20th of november last year so it was a very special moment...
Sorry about ur loss,I lost mine he was 48.my condolences
So sorry about your father....I lost mine December 15, 2004...and still long for him. RIP Dad and thanks for watching out for me. Love you always...Robin

Saw him live in some strip joint in Calgary, early 80's ? still one of my favorites, introduced me to the blues when I was around 12 and then: the yardbirds, the stones, howlin' wolf and I was hooked
Wow ! I never even knew they did this song. Amazing ! Eric is one of the best.
The Animals did a lot of covers of the r&b and blues singers of that time
This band never made it to the top like. The Stones or Beatles. Maybe they had bad management, but I always thought they were No. 3.
Me neither. I love this!
Eric Burdon - A better Blues and R&B singer than ANY White Rocker from Mick Jagger to any Modern White Boy you can name. His sex apppeal eclipsed Jagger. Mick was"choreographed", while Eric Burdon was pure raw energy.
What's with your weird race obsession?
I dunno. Joe Cocker kind of moves me for White Blues Singer 🎤🎤🎶🎵😊
The Animals: Awesome British Invasion blues group, just awesome. I thank the Lord I heard it back then and am here to hear it again and again....................................born 1949.
Eric Burden. An absolute all time great. Regardless of whatever genre of music he did. He's one of the all time greatest.
Yes
is it wrong to think Eric is sooooo handsome ?😍😍❤❤
- Forever crushing on Eric !💘

+Smiiley Jiimenez he's not handsome...he's a sexy beast and main pants dropping force on planet earth ❤
Bàrbara Gimeno yes very sexy ! He's so yummy .
Still alive as of today. 75 years old.
Girl, please, Eric was frakking GORGEOUS in his youth. I make no bones about how handsome, exciting, sexy, sensuous, and stimulating ( You know what kind of stimulation I'm talking about) he was . Eric was a hazel eyed, manly, masculine beauty.Eric doesn't have a feminine bone in his body. Eric Victor Burdon IS ALL MAN, THROUGH AND THROUGH.
Never heard this before. Instantly added to my Spotify play list. Awesome talent Eric Burdon
The original version by Same Cooke is the best! The Animals, a close 2nd.
Eric burdon was soo delicious!!! ugg and a good version of bring on home, love!
This is such an amazing, awesome song. I truly love the Animals. Truly appreciate the whole group. I love them!
I LOVE THIS and ERIC BURDON! This man is a legend! What a voice and he is still rockin 50 years later.
Would love to meet him !
Animals such a great band😮
I remember The Kinks and The Animals jamming this live on Ready, Steady Go back in the Sixties! In those days you couldn't afford to blink. Bliss was it in that dawn to be alive,
Первый Раз Слушаю Песню, Мальчишки 60х❤❤
Everything they did was honest and soulful..
Yes...honest ...only good music
1,000 % Correct.....
O yes and I love it
Burden’s cover of this song and Dylan’s “it’s all over now baby blue” are under appreciated and among the best ever performed
Those of us who were made to serve and those who wanted to serve during the Vietnam era loved the the Animals and their music-stuck in a jungle or a ship their songs gave us some joy in our misery-we didn’t know at the time that our situation would be so unique as to engender a whole genera of music -it made us remember the ones we lost and the futility and frustrations of war
FANTASTIC!!!
RIP Hilton Valentine, great guitarist. Passed 29th of January 2021
Gotta love these guys. One of the best.

Best Rock and soul band that came out of the North East of England respect!.
In the 60s , British pop music had some the greatest male singers : Tom Jones , Stevie Winwood , Van Morrison , Joe Cocker , Steve Marriott , and arguably the best of all , Eric Burdon.
Jack Bruce?
Lennon and McCartney?
Colin Blunstone
Like ThefightingCelt said, arguably Eric Burdon, the best.
Steve Ellis (Love Affair) Carl Wayne (The Move), Paul Jones (Manfred Mann), Donovan.
He looks sooo cute in this one!!!

Ah, the memories....the nights, the days, and the good times. ♫♥50+ YEARS and ain't dead yet....

One of my favorite set of lyrics
I find Eric more tragic while Sam is somehow strangely joyful
Even when they sing "i forgive you"
After she stayed out late ❤
Or "i'll always be your slave until im dead and buried in my grave"
Wow who wrote this ❤😮
I like the beatles but Eric Burdon and the animais had a Place in my heart! best blues band!
+claudia brando freitas Yes! They're different but I like them pretty much equally :)
There have been MANY versions of this song, but Eric and The Animals had the BEST! Eric is incredible on this vocal.
Yes
Sam Cooke has entered the chat
I think so too ,
Obviously we're dealing with personal preference here, mine being Sam Cooke's version. But I do enjoy the Animal's version as well.
no one touches Sams version
This guy could sing anything. Love you Eric

My favorite singer to this day. I saw him with The Animals and War and the as Eric Burdon. He's brilliant. I've had the pleasure of spending time with him. A gentleman. An awesome voice. And praise God for Mr. Chandler. Without him we may never had had Jimi Hendrix.

One of the best Voices in rock.... :D
Not one of but the best voice ever
Yes it is Eric Burdon and Eddie Vedder. Both are best.
В те годы мне они не казались супер-группой, из-за Битлз, но сейчас я удивляюсь, как это могло быть.Может быть, потому, что основным источником был радиоприемник и шесть раз скопированные записи.
Это нечто, это прекрасно!
I will never forget the day I saw this video for the first time. I thought it was fantastic. See the sea, the noise of the waves. And the band playing on the sand and people dancing and clapping. The wind blowing Eric's beautiful hair. Seeing the girls sitting on the sand and dreaming of being there. And it still took two years for me to be born. It's awesome, I love it!
I got a summer job in a shop in 1965 when I was 14 and with my first week's wages (£3) I bought the LP "The most of the Animals". Loved Eric Burdon's voice.
AWESOME! I WAS 15. I had a huge crush on Eric
The 20 year period of 1963 through 1983 produced the best of "pop" music.
Yes
I'd say, 1955 -1975, with some flashes of brilliance during the rest of the 70s.
Like old man Freed said "Rock 'n Roll will never die."!!!
I had forgotten The Animals covered this. Must re-visit The Animals, this was their type of music.
Боже мой, мне было в 1965 году 4 года и уже была такая музыка! Браво, люблю!
You got that right.
Truly phenomenal voice!
Great music Animals my favorit group from the 60s,still love them
This was my mums favourite song of the 60s
Miss you rip
Great vocals from Eric burdon
This rendition of "Bring it on home to me" is a tear jerker. I cry every time I listen to it.Not only did the Animals do it better than anyone else, this is my favorite song by the Animals. I love it when Eric sings" I laughed" and then let's out a little laugh as he continues singing the rest of the song. Eric Burdon empties himself of all of his emotions and pours every drop into every song he sings. That is why it seems as though he has actually experienced whatever situation he is singing about. I have yet to come across another singer with this ability. I will cry like a baby when Eric leaves this life. There will never, EVER be another Eric Victor Burdon. Eric is one in a million. Thanks for this beautiful, timeless video.Peace and blessings.
Totally agree!
First version of this I ever heard. Still my fave, also! I had never heard of Sam Cooke!

I can never get over the bluesy power and soul in the voice of this this floppy haired English kid who likes the kid out of the Aussie TV series - Skippy. For as long as I can remember, always catching his face on some album cover and wandering how is this possible.
